I have been coming here for almost two years for my bagel and coffee. All of their bread is great! Briggette and Izzy make the best bagel on earth :) and that is pretty much the only reason I come here. They are super professional and friendly. The reason why I give four stars is besides the two girls I love, the rest are not as good…

I have been coming to this bakery for about 8 years. I have never had a problem and all the food i have ever bought has been fresh and delicious. A few days ago in the morning i went into the store to pick up some bread. When i got to the counter i asked one of your workers for a loaf of italian bread(she was a tan hispanic girl). She was on her phone when i asked and gave me a dirty look for asking her. she then looked up and with an attitude said, how many loafs do i have to give you. i simply said one and walked out, shocked and dumbfounded on how i was just treated by a worker at a place i have been coming to since i was a teenager. I hope that corrections can be made to prevent any other customer being rudely treated by that worker ever again.

Stopped in there yesterday for the first time. Growing up in Bensonhurst in the mid 70s and 80s I was exposed to the best bakeries. Most of Bensonhurst has changed today and I am constantly looking for that place to bring me back to my youth. Well its hard to find such a place in Bensonhurst today but I found my bakery in Gravesend. Had the Prosciutto bread and the seeded twist bread. Absolutely amazing! You can tell by the way the bread is baked, the texture and the apportionment that its an authentic recipe. So many bakeries advertising«Italian Style Bread» but most of it is garbage. Kings Highway Bakery is the real deal. Take it from someone who grew up in Bensonhurst. I will be back here often. Would be great to have this bakery where I live in Staten Island but luckily I work in Brooklyn.

Napoleon — Cream is okay but the layers of puff pastry are BURNT! Chocolate-covered Cannoli — Cream is kinda old! Do I want a tummy ache from this? No. Chocolate Éclair is decent as well as apple turnover. Piece of advice: Go elsewhere. Rimini on Bay Parkway is way better!

Semolina bread that’s baked right– a Brooklyn gem where you can get great bread and baked goods and regular talk. Family owned and operated these kind of bakeries are slowly disappearing. My small semolina bread was $ 1.50 and was wrapped in a wax bag. A great bread to go with the wonderful foods and cheese from Pisa Pork Store at the corner, Old school is the best school and I’m the headmistress.

Read the ingredients. MARGARINE in the Italian bread! Give e a BREAK! Margarine is PURE hydrogenated oil TRANSFATS. My favorite Italian bread on the planet is Caputo’s on Court Street Thought I’d try a few others in case Caputo’s shuts down. I can’t live without good Italian bread. This bread tastes ok but when I read the label, that did it. GOOD Italian has the following ingredients. Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast and sometimes Malt. THATISIT! Try Caputo’s It is PATHETIC to use PURETRANSFATS in Italian bread. Everyone Italian I know who goes here has STENTS in their hearts. No WONDER why. If you don’t care about having a heart attack, go here.

The bread is good but everything else I have ever purchased here was stale. Most recently I purchased a pound of cookies The counter help convinced my husband to purchase a cellophane wrapped tray. When I unwrappepd them for company I was mortified to find they were not the«fancy» cookies but the old crap they have laying around. They dress up their old merchandise in hopes they sell it. Needless I didn’t serve the cookies because they looked and tasted like shit. Never again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. If you want a good cookie or pastry go to Villabate(alba) or Nuccios. Steer clear of this clip joint. The only thing they do semi-decent is bread And to the people that are raving about $ 5 cookies — what year did you visit because this pile of crap cost me $ 10

Every time we are in the neighborhood, we stop here & get a pound of cookies. Better then any bakery in the city. Got a free cookie yesterday! Love the rasberry filled cookies. Great prices & very friendly staff. The bread looks amazing. Great bakery smell!

Right next door to my favorite pork store where all my pork needs are satisfied and they know just where to stick it. The place reminds me of my childhood when my grandmother would come out to Long Island and bring 15 fresh baked loaves from here for the holidays. Now I live out West and coming here is an absolute treat. Not being in New York reminds you that bakeries like this are an absolute gem and should be appreciated as the rest of the country is taken over by Kneader’s and Subways. Remember what you have, and be grateful for it.

I use to come here multiple times… there italan cookies are pretty good… There are certain items I would get here… Prices are okies… the service here is ok as well. They don’t really understand what you want so they answer sorry we don’t have that… This place has been around for over twenty years… A good family friendly places to get your Italian sweets… such as cakes, bread and cookies… I only get there short bread Italian cookies with sprinkles… The only Italian cookies I would ever eat… has a good taste to it… There’s a lot of locals shopping here for bakery goods… There is no parking and no seatings… It’s a buy it and take it to go kind of place… The product is baked fresh daily… well that’s what it says on the wall… They have these cute theme cakes during the holidays such as Easter, Christmas, and even Halloween!

They have great bread, thats about it! They neglected to fill me a fresh cannoli, so instead, I received one that has been laying there all day. I took one bite and the shell was MUSH, and the filling was hard. Sad sad excuse for an italian bakery. I mean what Italian bakery doesn’t fill a fresh cannoli?!

A fairly sizeable bakery shop next to the subway stop. The pastries were crispy and fresh, had great flavors. Lots of options to choose from. Very much looking forward to going back again. Well-staffed so service was quick. I would have liked coffee with stronger flavor, but not a big deal. Well-organized and clean.

I moved to the neighborhood about a month ago and Kings Highway Bakery is one of my favorite things about living in Gravesend. Everything they make that I have tried is delicious, from cream puffs to fresh pumpernickel bread to chocolate rolls. One day I went in with my boyfriend and we were debating about what to get. The owner said there were fresh danishes and gave us some to try for free. Delicious! We loved the cheese and strawberry danishes in particular. They make fresh bread as well; I particularly recommend the raisin pumpernickel and sesame bread. Everyone who works here is very nice, and the prices are reasonable.

A pound of delicious cookies for five bucks?! I guess that’s a reason to go to Bensonhurst.
