I really wanted to like this place. I ordered two smoothies and a soup — which were delicious. However, one of the smoothies had hard plastic pieces in it as if something had broken off into the blender or something. I called and was told I’d get a credit. When I tried to order from them again, they said they couldn’t find my credit and gave me an attitude as if I had done something wrong. So not only did my mouth get poked with tiny bits of plastic, I didn’t even get the credit promised even though I was nice enough to give them the benefit of a doubt instead of putting them on blast.

Was in the mood for a nice good salad and decided to stop by here, I’ve never ordered food from them only smoothies and jucies. The salad was very disappointing but I ate it because I was hungry. I could of made a better salad myself. Thr ingredients weren’t as fresh as I hoped for and lacked flavor. It was like just a bunch of ingredients thrown together on plate. If I do come back I’ll just stick to the drinks

Good place for a quick juice/protein shake… just wished the workers cared a little bit more about there customers and gave better service… seems like these posts for this place echo my sentiments…

Let me start off by saying I love Energy Fuel and order it anytime I can get it! I ordered food today through Grubhub and stated that my fiancé will pick up the order. During my fiancé lunch break he proceeded to take the train to the Bayridge location to pick my order. When he got there, there was a sign in the window saying they were shut down by dept of health and hygiene. This was such an inconvenience seeing that there was nothing on their website saying they were closed! It wasted my time ordering online and it wasted my fiancé lunch time to get the food. ugh! This has been such a horrible experience I don’t know if I’ll ever order from this restaurant again!

Love their food! Wish there was one closer to where I lived. Only complaint is sometimes your orders can take forever!!! But overall always happy with my meal.

4 stars for the food, –1 star for the horrible customer service. I’ve been coming here for a good six or seven years now, and they used to have the nicest staff. Now they employ these not so friendly teenagers who can’t even be bothered to greet you and ask what you’d like to order when you walk in. They just stare at you. They don’t say anything when they give me the food, nothing like thank you or enjoy. It’s bizarre. I miss the old staff. The good news is the food has always been fantastic.

Meh, a chain/franchise that serves healthy-ish food, smoothies, and drinks. The pluses– it’s one of the few in the area and walking distance from the VA and fort, it’s a good size and has seats, and it’s close to a park. Negatives– the staff that I dealt with was an inattentive and uninterested teen who seemed bothered by my presence. However, she kindly gave me a cup of ice for my warm juice when asked. Obviously the juice is not cold-pressed. That being said, if I’m craving a juice, as one does from time to time, I’ll probably be back. That is, unless someone opens a true healthy eatery or I feel like walking to Cocoa Grinder.

Yesterday was my very 1st time ordering something from this place. Food was great as expected, service was excellent, wait time was minimal. Only complaint was the wrap falling a part but if that’s all I had to deal with for this tasty food then so be it. Ill be back again.

Great healthy meals & smoothies. Only downside is the size of the store & the fact that there’s no customer bathroom

Well, this place just lost my business again, this time due to incompetence, horrific service, and a confrontational, accusatory attitude towards a customer with a legitimate complaint.(The first time, several years ago, was for a decline in food quality, which seemed to be fixed for a while.) Mind you, we have been very regular customers for quite a few years, ordering from them at least once a week and usually more often than that. Ordered delivery tonight. The wrap I received was wrong; I’d asked for no cheese, but they also omitted two other ingredients. My wife phoned to tell them; when she got off the phone, she told me they’d send a new wrap but wanted me to pack up and return the first one. Of course this was ridiculous; they can’t serve an item a customer returns, but can only discard it. What on earth can they possibly want with a sandwich with a bite taken out of it? So I phoned them again, told them their request troubled me, that they can’t possibly need the wrap, and that the gracious thing to do would be to send a new one without illogically requiring me to return the first one. I told them l would not return the first one, but expected them to send a new one. A few minutes later, these complete jerks phoned me back to insist that the two items they left off were in fact on the sandwich! Can you imagine essentially accusing a customer of lying? By now, both my wife and I were on the phone with these morons. I told them in no uncertain terms that I am the customer, I know what was and was not on the sandwich, that I wasn’t lying or calling just for the heck of it, and that they had lost our business because of their stupidity. A little while later I decided that I should really speak to the manager, and phoned back again — but now these jerks weren’t even picking up the phone! And of course, they did not send a replacement sandwich. The ONLY acceptable response to «You left two items off my wrap» would be «I’m sorry, ma’am, I’ll send another right away.» Period. These fools not only don’t know that, they are also evidently too stupid to realize that in the Internet age, they will be slammed online immediately for such nonsense. Check out some of the other reviews mentioning service issues. Nature’s Grill on 3rd Avenue and 75th Street has much better food with better prices and a courteous staff. The only reason we’d switched from them back to Energy Fuel is that Fuel is closer to where we live and delivery tended to be faster, but you know what? I’ll wait the extra time for Nature’s Grill. If I were starving, I wouldn’t order from Energy Fuel ever again. They don’t deserve our business, or yours either.

I’ve never understood scathing reviews when I’ve come across them on Unilocal, but after dealing with this establishment, I fully understand. I live literally around the corner from this place. Normally, I’d just walk over. However, I got home late from work and there was a play off game on so I opted to just order in. When I called, I ordered two salads and sweet potato fries. I gave my address and telephone numbers twice. The person I spoke with read them back to me, twice. After an hour goes by where I haven’t received food, I call back and speak to someone else and they tell me that my food has been sitting there because they don’t have an address or telephone number for me. I give it to them again. Another half hour goes by and I get a call from a delivery guy that I truly can’t understand. He says he’s outside. I buzz him in. 3 minutes go by and I don’t have food. He calls me back and I say I’ll buzz him in again. Still no food. So I call him back and go down stairs. He’s no where to be found. I walk up the block and he’s no where to be found. I go upstairs and call this place back AGAIN and say I want to cancel my order. At this point, the guy rings my bell, so I’m told«oh, he’s there now. Okay, good night» and get hung up on. Unfortunately for me, I paid with a card. I get no refund, waited two hours and now have cold fries and warm salads from a place that is LITERALLYAROUNDTHECORNER from my apartment. I’ve never dealt with such a ridiculous establishment in my life. Stay away from this place at all costs.

Last 3 times I ordered from them was cheerfully greeted by phone and politely thanked. Top notch food has now been matched with top notch service. Wow.

Compared to the other two Fuel’s close to this location I’m utterly shocked how different this one is compared to the other two. I used to order here often in hopes of it getting better, but with each order it got worse. At one point my fresh juice had DIRT from the fruits!!! CLEANTHEFRUITS! I don’t know how the health department hasn’t shut this place down yet. The workers don’t even know what they’re doing, they don’t know which veggie is what, they don’t know how much of the ingredients to use to make a small, medium or large juice. One of the workers was making my juice and continued to add grapefruit to my juice because it wasn’t enough. I didn’t ask for a grapefruit juice! What was suppose to be 2 grapefruits turned into 4, with 1 Apple and a handful of spinach. Not what I ordered. Not only that, one day I was eating in with my friend and there was a roach the size of a thumb walking along the wall. We got up and left. So sad that a healthy food place is so dirty and unkept. They would have a much larger clientele if they fixed all this. Also what’s the point of serving breakfast if you open at 10AM and only serve it until 11AM!!!

It’s a tad overpriced but when it comes to healthy marketed food — what isn’t? The selection is a bit much — not very creative with lots of repetition with some minor changes. I order the make your own plates. It’s hit or miss. Sometimes it’s good — well seasoned, cooked well, not sloppy looking. The other times it’s dry, poorly portioned, and kind of jumbled all together. I only go here if I’m really lazy and don’t feel like indulging in anything.

I was pretty annoyed when I came here on a whim as I normally go to a local spot near by but I was at FoodTown and thought it would be great to stop in and get a juice. The place is very tiny so if you want to eat in, it can be crazy. I ordered a juice with kale, cucumbers, strawberries, and spinach. The girls don’t even know what they’re doing here. The one girl didn’t even know what kale WAS(why would you hire someone for your health spot who doesn’t know their veggies? You’re catering to people who eat a certain way. Hire people who eat that Way too.) So the other girl pulls out some yellow old as kale, yay me, and she has to read the list for each vegetable now, so finally she plunks some strawberries in a blender(???) and puts in under the juicer, and proceeds to add the pathetic bunch of kale, a ton of spinach and a cucumber to the mix. It’s not enough for my large juice so she adds another cucumber, and it’s still not enough so she proceeds to pull out a third cucumber. At that point I have to tell at her to stop so I don’t end up with cucumber water, so she blends it all together now and hands it to me. It’s literally the worst juice I ever had, and this one has fruit in it. It’s a murky brown color and lacks flavor other than cucumber. Never again. At least I know now why it was so cheap.

Although food is healthy and good, ordering by phone is a nightmare! I was calling to order food last night and the girl who answered asked if I could hold for a minute. I said sure no problem, but instead of being put on hold she merely put the phone down and I could here everything that was going on in the background. Five minutes passed of my limited cellular minutes, and I started saying hello very loudly to get her attention, instead I got hung up on. Called back, exact same scenario occurred. Tried one last time and then finally gave up. I ended up making dinner at home! I work in a service industry with busy phones all day long but the people answering the phone are up to the task. If you can’t handle more than one call at once, you shouldn’t be in a service business.

The service in this place sucks! On several occasions they messed up my order and when I go back to fix it they give me an attitude. I’m sorry I had to walk back and get exactly what I want since I am paying for it. The food is definitely NOT worth the prices. The portions have become smaller prices have risen the quality has diminished. The only reason these guys are still in business is due to lack of better options in the neighborhood and the gyms nearby. Not the same owners as fuel on ovington and 3rd which is much better than this place. If u can skip this place and go there. Hey energy fuel go back to the way you used to be and give your counter employees costumer service training.

Honestly, I don’t know why I persist in torturing myself patronizing this place. Today was the last draw!!! WORSESERVICE around with no apologies or acknowledgement… Having just returned from a Dr’s appointment for which I couldn’t eat, I stopped in to pick up some breakfast just before the lunch rush. Low and behold I was forced to wait 35mins, YES35 mins for,; and this is my issue, simple PANCAKESANDEGGWHITES! Really… and the darned this were overdone!!! Were it not for a lack of healthier neighborhood options, I’d have sworn them off

One of the very few or if not the only healthy restaurants in Bay Ridge area. Energy Fuel is an ok place to eat at if you want to eat healthy. Don’t expect the food to be top notch restaurant food and there is nothing fancy about how the food is made. Most of the dishes you can probably make at home. They have a ton of smoothie options and juices. Some of the juices taste so nasty especially ones that has celery in it. Yuck! Smoothies ain’t bad. The price of eating healthy, I guess. Fyi, They also make wheatgrass shots. A very small restaurant with limited seating and there is no restroom, so don’t eat too much or drink too much. You be screwed if you have to use the restroom. You have been warned. It is in a convenient location near the 95th street station and bus stop. Service was fast too. Pricing wise it’s not bad, maybe a bit expensive. Halal cart would be cheaper to get if you don’t want to eat healthy. What I had was the #50 Energy Protein. Chicken breast, onions & tomatoes baked with tahini served with egg whites. Not a bad dish. Chicken was a bit dry though. The egg whites was good. I love egg whites. Probably the best dish I had at Energy Fuel. $ 11 for this dish. I also got the café mocha smoothie. Coffee, fat free chocolate and skim milk. Not bad drink. Definitely a healthy version of coffee if there is such a thing. $ 5 for a medium drink. Not a bad to have a simple made breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy. Maybe a killer on your wallet if you try eating here everyday, but it is a healthy cooking.

Amazing place. I love the staff, the menu, the speed of home delivery and the vegetarian choices they offer. I love their pizza and the combis of fruits-juices. The mango-passion fruit one is divine. I am moving out of bay ridge but will definitely visit this whenever I am back! P. S.: changed it to 4 stars because I went at 9:25(they close at 10:00) and they said there juice section was closed because they are cleaning up. I walked 10 blocks to get to them. The guy was new and he said the other guys do this menu, not me. Disappointed!
