One of those old Brooklyn places that you can come in for a slice of the quality that according to NYC standards is just correct. I had a white sauce slice and was highly satisfied.

What could you say about a restaurant you order from and they don’t have what you order. I ordered two Panini’s and a hero and was told they have no Panini’s and when I said I would switch to heroes they only had two hero rolls left they need to close and find a new career choice. That is an absolute shame when you call any restaurant and they don’t have what you are ordering thats on the menu

I live steps away and have seen this place go from ‘Meh’ to ‘hey this is fucking good!’. It’s probably the best pizzeria style pizza on this side of Bay Ridge. You’d have to go to Grandmas Pizza on third ave in the 70’s to get anything comparable. Makes a real good round cheese pie– not greasy with a crispy and fresh bread crust. I get these by the forklift for kid party’s. The fella who makes the pies will make anything you like– for instance, I asked if he could make a stuffed pizza with chicken. He put one on top of the other and sealed it with chicken inside. One of the best pizza shops in Bay Ridge.

I have only had the white pizza because I can’t bring myself to try anything else, for fear that it won’t be as delicious as the white pizza. So, so good! I treat myself to it once a month and it’s amazing every time. I really do want to try the margarita pizza and the veggie pizza, since they look great too. Maybe next time!

I love this neighborhood place. The pizza is pretty good but the Italian Ice, mannnn. I could eat it everyday. $ 2 for a small cup is perfect. It doesn’t seem like a lot when they first hand it to you but after gobbling it up it feels like the perfect amount. Plus actual cherries in the ice. Yum. It’s never busy or crowded so I love popping in here after a long day of exploring. My kids enjoy it too. I don’t think there are any bathrooms which is a bummer. The slices aren’t the cheapest in the city either but it’s still reasonable. And the guy behind the counter is nice enough. I did like that they must be on good terms with Cathy’s Diner next door because when I asked if they has something other then soda for the kids he asked the ladies over at Cathy’s for a small apple juice, which was pretty awesome. All in all, if you’re in Bay Ridge, stop in and grab a slice for a neighborhood feel.

This place is alright by me. I brought the family here to get some pizza and italitan ice. Everything is affordable, which is nice in Brooklyn. The pizza is greasy, and I’m seeing that in other reviews as well. The $ 2 cherry italian ice was a nice finish and my daughter loved it. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, but these $ 3 slices are good for a quick meal.

This pizza joint is so UNDER-rated! The pizza here is awesome, especially, the margherita & plain cheese slices. The crust is impossibly thin — just how I like my pizza. Not to mention — the pizza guy is super friendly. This is a great place to grab a slice and go or stay and watch the games since they have a big-screen TV.

We get delivery from them from time to time as we’re nearby and they’re a decent pizza /neighborhood Italian food place. I really don’t understand how Lisa D. can think this is the«best slice of pizza» in New York — it’s all right, tastes pretty good, but truly nothing special. If you’re ordering a pie, ask for it well done, or it will arrive with soggy, limp crust — I hate it when I have to eat pizza with a knife and fork — and even if you do ask for it well done, it might come soggy anyway(frustrating!!!). We’ve had heros from them a couple of times — again, decent, nothing great at all, edible — but really soft hero bread, more like Subway’s than real Italian bread(downgrade on that alone!). Also, if you get pizza, get the regular crust, NOT the whole wheat: I happen to love whole wheat pizza, but theirs is not good, while their regular is all right.(They’re often out of the whole wheat anyway — they’re pretty bad about having everything on the menu available in general.) The people who answer the phone to take your delivery order tend to be clueless and /or rude: for example, the take-out /delivery menu contains a number of «coupon specials,» but when we tried to apply one on a Thursday night(Thursday!) recently, the jerk who answered first said she didn’t know whether we could get that special, so she SCREAMED across the room(without putting the phone on hold) to some guy, and then she told us the coupon was«no good» that night. «When ARE the coupons good?» «Monday through Wednesday.» Me: «Oh, really? Then it should say so on the menu.»(Nowhere ln the menu is it specified just when those coupons may be used. Seems very arbitrary to me.) Another time, the woman taking our order was downright rude; I was trying to order something clearly on the menu, and she kept insisting, quite adamantly, «We don’t have that.» In all, we order their pizza because it’s OK and convenient, but reading the reviews for neighborhood pizza on Unilocal,I think the next time we want pizza, we may just order from Nino’s, whose reviews intrigue me. EDIT: Tried Nino’s — a little better, not great. On to Valentino’s. 2ndEDIT, Jue 2011: Espresso Pizza!!! Bingo — FOUNDIT! Wonderful Pizza in Bay Ridge. The name speaks for itself, and the pizza lived up to the name. The margarita pizza was amazing – impossibly thin crust, slightly sweet sauce, the perfect amount of fresh mozzerella, and fresh basil leaves. It was probably the best slice of pizza I’ve had in New York in a long time and worth the trek.
