Good: The surprisingly good pizza that comes free with each beer(5 $ or 6 $ depending on beer), the almost always empty back room where you can take a large group. Okay: The loud music.

Wha??? Free personal pizza with your purchase of a beer?! Why can’t every bar have this?! It’s good pizza, too!

‘Ding Ding’ … awesome, my pizzas ready right when the drunk munchies start. I used to play shows here a few years ago … back then you would get free hot(or veggie) dogs with your drinks. It’s your typical bespeckled ‘hipster’ crowd with fairly priced drinks($ 5 beers) and a friendly staff. The pizza is yummy(being vegan, I’m judging on the sauce and bread) and the guys working the oven don’t grunt at you like they do over at the other Alligator Lounge. Despite the schitzophrenic name changes they seem to do good business any time of year, and the crowd is always fun. I recommend checking out a show here, ‘specially if you like your dancing hot and sweaty. ’

Who cares what the name of this place is? It’s divey, but fun, and the main thing to take away from this review is the fact that you get a mini pizza with the purchase of every beer. If you’re a cynic like me, you doubt the quality of said pizza, but it was DELICIOUS. Crisp and cheesy, everything you could want in a [free] pizza. Toppings are $ 1 extra. The staff is friendly(the bartender bought me a shot of jäger on the house), and the crowd is amiable. Great place to spend your night.

Not a lot of dance space for a very dancy group of bands, but I’m a sucker for decent free pizza with your beer. With beers at $ 4, a dollar tip for the bartender and another for the pizza makers, that’s better than a few other places. The pizzas are perfectly sized. As for atmosphere, the whole place is layered, which can be kinda fun.

Alligator Lounge 2/Lost & Found/Lulu’s/Whatever it’s called this week has the pleasure of having the rep for the best pizza out of all the best pizza bar umbrellas ownership(Croc, Gator, and Charleston). Seriously, it’s actually pretty decent and is noticeably better than the other places. Other than that, it’s a pretty good bar, the beers are cheap during happy hour, there’s plenty of space. It’s not bad if you happen to be in Greenpoint and need some grub and a pint.

NAMEISBACKTOLULU’S. Postcard on display at nearby café confirms this. This place has a SERIOUS identity crisis. Still serving up pizza, though.

May be a good dive bar but its completely inconsiderate of its neighbors. Loud live music at concert levels blaring well past midnight on work nights is not a welcome addition to the neighborhood. If they kept the windows and doors shut so that the entertainment was confined to the bar, we’d be ok with these guys as neighbors but its a drag living within a 2 block radius of this bar.

Okay, let’s be real here. I’m a big fan of a good dive bar. Alligator Greenpoint/Lost and Found/Lulu’s has it all. My favorite thing about this bar is that I can come here by myself and just drink my beer and fill my tummy with(DELICIOUS) pizza, while not being bothered by too many people. If I’m in a social mood, I can strike up a conversation(or just jump into someone else’s) easily because everyone’s laid back and real nice. I generally like it better when it’s on the empty side, and I wouldn’t come here to party all night(although this has happened accidentally from time to time). It’s best to have a low-key hang out with some friends and drink some good beer. And be warned! No pizza before 6 on weekdays(this is happy hour and you’ll get your beer for 3 bucks, but no pizza). Bands sometimes play here too, but I generally don’t like the loud scene. Come watch WWE Raw on Mondays!

I’m a fan of Alligator 2, even if it’s just for the value proposition. Where else can you get a pizza and a beer for $ 4?(Well, their sister locations I suppose!) There are now also several toppings to choose from, which you can add for $ 1 each. As has been mentioned, this bar is essentially the old Lost & Found with some sprucing up, removal of the«Coney Island Experience» and the addition of a pizza kitchen. Long story short, I like the beer selection, I like the pizza when I’m having drinks, and the bartenders have always been friendly to me. Thus I am a fan!

This place is great! Roomy with different levels and you get a free personal-sized pizza with the purchase of a drink! Not to mention it’s a 5 minute walk away and is on beautiful Franklin Street. It’s been added in my mental rolodex of places to go around here.

Another branch of the Alligator Lounge change. Yeah, it’s not the greatest bar on the planet but if you are in Greenpoint and want to eat and drink cheaply, you can get a Yuengling and a pizza for $ 4. A good place to pre-game it and eat and then hit up the surrounding bars.

This bar is awesome. I came here for Kaiju’s Karaōke and it was great. The bartender was very attractive and funny and got drunk with us. The karaōke was so much fun! They had a very good song collection. This bar’s philosophy is: «As long as you’re drinking you get free pizza.» Like seriously, all night, they just keep giving you pizza. It’s awesome. I wish I lived in Brooklyn I would come here all the time.

The beer is priced the same as all the other bars in the neighborhood, except you get a free handmade pizza with each beer. Which is just awesome. It does need a proper sign, it still has the old one from Lost & Found

Having lived in Greenpoint through the many stages of this corner bar… LuLu’s, the Lost n’ Found, and now Alligator Greenpoint, it’s still my boyfriend and my go-to bar. We were happy to see many of our favorite bartenders still behind the bar from the LNF days, like Katy, Josh, Fletch, Tommy, and even Rob. And new comer Jessica is also a hit. The free pizza thing is awesome, and after comparing it to the other joints that do the same, I think theirs is the best, hands down. Saturday nights a cool house band plays and it’s free, the pizza’s free and they’ve got Sierra Nevada on tap. Like what more do you need?!?

This bar is dead to me. Lulu’s/Lost & Found had so much character and personality. Oh and cheaper beers. And better music. And free hot dogs. Yea free pizza is great but that’s not the hardest thing to come by in north Brooklyn. They took out the skeeball, the pinball, the photobooth. Seriously, why? Were people enjoying the bar too much and loving that it was such a perfect haven to escape to where you wouldn’t have to deal with loud awful music and absurdly large crowds? I guess that wasn’t a good thing in the new owner’s eye. RIP Lulu’s RIP Lost & Found Alligator Greenpoint? get outta here.

Another Alligator Lounge and I’m not complaining. I went here for karaōke night. We were literally singing for ourselves. There was another group there, but they would leave the area when their group’s songs were over and go to the bar — what maligned karaōke etiquette! The space is great, with at least 4 different sea levels of fun. I’d love to see this place packed with plaid shirts and beards competing musical knowledge of obscurities — It’s Greenpoint, after all. I’d love to see it, not be in it — I’m like that. The owner found a formula and it works. How do they do it? They already have the space so they don’t have to worry about rent for inflating prices. The pizzeria is just an add on. How much could a pizza cost really? 1 dollar? It’s just dough, sauce and cheese. It’s not bad at all. Unmistakably NY style taste. Everyone gets their own mini pizza — so much more personal than just a 1 of 8 slice. I’ve been thinking lately about NY pizza: it’s not the water, not the weather, it’s the suppliers which make our pizza different. Maybe they don’t deliver past Penn. That’s a theory. What more can they add on? The building’s ghosts offered hot dogs. Hmm, what else? empanadas? orrr hmmm, it’s gotta be something salty… Ham croquettes? ohh, pigs in a blanket! Trash Bar gives tater tots and those are great. BCC gives cheeto puffs but that place is lame. I’d like to see some hot off the oven chinese beef jerky. I’d like movie theater popcorn. I want skewers and salt peanuts. I want more!

Alligator was the OG of the economic recession special«buy a drink, get a PIZZA» before there was even an economic recession(Gray’s Papaya was also a f*ing visionary in this regard). Little else has changed. Ergo: what was once«the bar on Franklin with the Trainspotting bathroom» is now that PLUSFREEPIZZA.
