Denny’s

Got my thanksgiving dinner from here to go. Ordered seasoned fries, biscuits and gravy, and a large coke.
Staff was not at tentative by any means, the first hostess couldn’t find my order.
Gave me a 22oz drink as a large, filled to the brim w ice. Was a waste of 2.59 $
Fries were fantastic (which gives a bump to the rating). Gravy was bland — had to use two pepper packets.
Overall, good dinner for being open on Thanksgiving, service could be better.
Large drink should be more than two gulps of pop. Just sayin

As far as Denny’s go… I wouldn’t go back to this one. It was in a pretty… not nice area of town, but a hop skip and a jump away from our hotel (literally). We were tired and hungry and didn’t have the energy to find somewhere else.
The place was not very clean, the food was fine I guess. It was typical Denny’s fare, though a little less good. At this point I can’t remember what we ordered, but I do know that they got my husband’s order wrong. Twice. But we went with it and ate.
I guess the biggest issue I had is that I had and the part that sticks out the most to me is that there was a couple in the booth behind my husband/​facing me that was having some serious issues. They cried (both of them) almost the whole time we were there. There was serious making out when there wasn’t crying and I don’t know what was happening. I mean yes, they could have been experiencing a terrible loss, but it was incredibly uncomfortable for everyone there.
I know it’s not the restaurants fault, but seriously, if that’s all that sticks out in my brain, then nothing else was worthing remembering.

Unbelievable, don’t support an entity that does this to anyone! I hope this place shuts down. The manager kept his job too. How is this possible?

Sensitivity training is not even remotely enough compensation. Fire Bob Quigley. He doesn’t deserve a job for what he said — since his sense of humor is already so depraved, he might find unemployment pretty hilarious. Despicable.

I found out that if you want to meet someone and have a bite at midnight in the Brooklyn Center area, there aren’t a lot of options. Thus, we wound up at Denny’s.
There were only 3 other parties in the restaurant, all seated and eating. So I should have gotten everyone’s full attention, right? Wrong!
I waited forever to be recognized, greeted, and finally seated. Service was super damn S-​L-​O-​W! Why so slow with a practically empty restaurant? I have no idea. The food took forever to come out.
The food itself was average, about what you’d expect at a Denny’s or a Perkins.
The frosting on the cake was that there was a small gray shrew (similar to a mouse) that kept running out from under the toy crane machine, and running around the floor under the first booth, looking for food. In & out, in & out, in & out… I watched him appear about a dozen times. I actually had fun watching him while I was waiting for my other guest to arrive. I should have taken a photo because it was so unbelievable! Our server said that the outside door was broken and the little guy had been running in and out all day. No wonder they had two mouse traps at the front door!
Next time, if I’m hungry late at night in Brooklyn Center, I’ll drive a little farther and go to Perkins or to Flame Burger. And if I want to watch wildlife, I’ll go to the zoo.

I’ve been to Denny’s 3 times. This Denny’s customer service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. My friends and I ordered their chicken strips which came with celery sticks. They didn’t even bother to wash the celery sticks– there was still dirt on it! Also, they served us burnt toast that came with our dishes and burnt meatballs that were in my friend’s spaghetti dish. Disappointed and will not return.

This place was actually OK.
I was surprised.
I wasn’t hoping for anything spectacular because this is what it is… a Denny’s.
I got an American Slam. 3 eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, and toast. And a cup of coffee, it being 11:30pm
All the food tasted good, the hash browns were a little under cooked though, a little cold.
There were 4 staff on, a manager, one waitress for the 6 or so odd tables, and the 2 cooks.
The waitress was very attentive, but never came back to fill my coffee.
About my only complaint was that the place was pretty run down and dirty. I’m glad I couldn’t see in the kitchen.
I’m sure Gordan Ramsey could make a show about the place.

Been here two times and this place has VERY bad service. It took them an 1hour to bring our food. The second time we went, me and a group of friends waited so long to be seated, and the restaurant was not even full. Some people came in after us and the lady who worked there seated them first. We just left.
