I am just curious as to why the same cup of coffee is 20 cents more expensive if I drink it at the store than if I take it and go. And yes it is in a paper cup both times, not in the glass mug. Inquiring minds want to know.

This is a short podcast from Saile & Fe at the CB&TL. We were very happy with the server who was very patient with our madness. The drinks were great and the chairs super comfy. Even though we ordered iced teas that weren’t the teas of the day they came super fast though they were supposed to take longer to get brewed. Cool. And the a/c was perfect. Walked in out of the heat and were hit by a blast of cold air. Awesome! Found a great spot in the corner and loved it. We’ll be back!

You couldn’t pay me enough to clean your men’s bathroom. Let’s recap: — coffee… Good for being a chain — service… Depends on the day and time — space/seating… Plentiful and a nice outdoor seating area. They also have a great area against their windows that look out to imperial highway that is nice for natural lighting — temperature… Bring a jacket even in the summer — ambiance… Mixed crowd but really chill and able to get work done while still socialize. BUTTHEBATHROOMS!!! I’m only speaking about the men’s room at this point… I honestly think they follow the«spring cleaning» concept for this location because it looks like they only go in there once a year. I’ve seen urinals in nightclubs, at 1:45am in the peak of the drunkards pissfest, cleaner than this. And don’t get me started on the toilet and government issued TP. Just hope that nothing splashes back or you’ll be needing to get a special ointment for whatever hits you. Like I always say, coffee and toilets come hand and hand. For you avid coffee drinkers, you know what I’m talking about. If you really have to go, may I suggest trader joes or the gas station across the street? Ya I said it. GASSTATION

I used to come here religiously until I asked for a cold drink with no ice, so they give me half-filled cup! How cheap! This was my last time at a coffee bean. It sucks that you pay more than 4 dollars for a drink to get this crappy service. Very very cheap.

Love the drive through. Conveniently located in a shopping center that isn’t too busy in Brea.

Today, I was up to step away from my favorite Starbucks and try something new. This coffee/tea house is a great place for studying/working; outlets available for every chair, plenty of group study areas, nice sitting outside. The Internet is free, but too slow; both computer and phone legged big time. Coffee was too sweet; I asked for reg skinny charnel macchiato like drink. Definitely, it was overdone on Carmel. Baristas were very nice to treat me with a free drink, and quick to fix it with some milk, so no problem here. In over all, great place for a change. Yet, Starbucks is still my #1.

It was my first visit to this Franchise a few days ago. I’m so used to Starbucks & I didn’t even know what to order. The service was wonderful & I appreciated the assistance with ordering. I will definitely be going back & ditching Starbucks.

My favorite coffee bean to go to! All the workers are super courteous, and it’s just way more spacious compared to the other ones I’ve been to. The powder they use for the hot chocolate is the best, and the vanilla iced latté is really great. You can buy the vanilla powder at the store also, it tastes amazing in practically every drink!

Packed on weekday afternoons so make sure your laptop is charged. I usually just get an iced coffee and perhaps because of the ice, it seems watered down. I still manage to get my caffeine kick. It’s freezing in here so bring a hoodie or jacket or stay near a window with sunlight.

Fairly new. Very convenient with the drive through. I wish they can make an ice blend drink that’s close to Frappucino coffee from Starbucks.

I really like the drinks here, they’re better than Starbucks HOWEVER I went through the drive through and the guy who took my order was extremely sarcastic and rude. once we drove away and went to drink the coffee there was a long hair coming out of the lid! idk if it was on purpose or not but it was insanely disgusting.

While visiting back home, I always make a point of going to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf almost everyday. The Anaheim location where I used to frequent has since closed. I think this Brea location is my new favorite now. I love that it’s a drive thru. Awesome! They keep the drive thru running quickly and smoothly. The people at the window were pretty friendly each time. I did go inside once, but I think I’ll stick with the drive-thru. The cashier that was at the front when I went inside was not friendly and kind of on the sour side. My drinks each time were consistently good and just how I like them. I will definitely be back here!

Nope. It’s really not worth coming here. More often than not, my drinks are pretty terrible. I like Coffee Bean, I just don’t like this location. I’ve never gone inside, just used the drive-thru and each time something is off with my drink. Mostly, it seems that the drinks are heavily watered down. Which is pretty damn disappointing and gross on a cold night when you order that red velvet hot chocolate. And the employees aren’t that friendly either so it really makes it a blah experience all around. Go down the street to the Imperial and YLBLVD location– it’s much better. The drive-thru is just a shiny bow on an empty box. Don’t get trapped by the convenience.

This Drive-thru location almost always makes the drinks wrong. When I’m paying $ 5 for a drink, please make sure it’s good! I don’t want a tea latte that tastes like plain hot water. The only thing going for this location is the convenience of the Drive-thru. The Coffee Bean down the road by the Brea mall is usually better.

My love for CBTL is strong, there is really no coffee chain that is as consistent. While I do prefer seeking out and supporting local businesses, when there is nothing in the area like here in Brea, CBTL is absolutely the best choice. Service here was great and my blended black forest was perfect. They have great ice, it blends the drinks perfectly, also appreciate the no sugar added options. Quality is great, prices and portions fair, store clean and well maintained. So glad we stopped in, fueled me through the rest of the afternoon!

Sorry Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf but I have been(and will continue to be) a die-hard Starbucks fan. I have tried a variety of drinks from several different locations, but nothing to make me want to come back for more. My «peach orchard green tea lemonade» was(surprise, surprise) good but not great. Located in the plaza across from Walmart, near Trader Joe’s. This location has a drive thru and plenty of parking, so that’s always a bonus. There are usually a lot of open tables and space to dine in and relax. Also, a great choice if you’re looking for a place to study. The women’s restroom, at the time of my visit, was dirty and empty. There were literally no toilet seat covers, toilet paper, or paper towels stocked at the time. Many of the employees were simply standing around or talking to one another, when they could have been focusing on the upkeep and maintenance of their business. Sorry, I probably won’t be making a trip back out to this location for a while!

I have been a loyal coffee bean fan ever since moving to So Cal. But last week I ordered two iced coffees in the drive thru and both had holes in the cup! I didn’t notice until I took them out of my cup holder and I got coffee all over me and my cup holder was full of coffee. I tried calling the company and they told me to call a different 800 number not helpful. Back to Starbucks. Really disappointed.

Convenient drive-through location is perfect for picking up iced tea as a refreshing mini break while running errands. The tall back chairs inside are perfect for grading papers and writing lesson plans. It would be nice if more of the seating were converted to comfy chairs cents on more than one occasion I have seen people scout and scavenge the comfortable chairs, springing from wherever they are sitting to snap up the comfy chairs as soon as they become available when another guest leaves. Question: Why does the bathroom feel frosty like the temperature outside while it’s snowing? It’d be more comfortable if it were not so overly air-conditioned in there. Might save some electricity to boot.

Many of you debate over coffee or tea, often asking the question as to what’s better for you. Powerful chemicals called antioxidants can be found in both, which helps us protect healthy tissues and prevents oxidants from damaging cells that cause disease. Most of you can’t even function in the morning without at least a cup. The Chinese have been drinking tea for thousands of years, praising its calming nature and the advantages for helping digestion. Coffee has been known to help burn fat and improve energy levels, due to a higher concentration of caffeine than tea. Those who analyze the effects of tea or coffee on the human body, state that it doesn’t cause any serious health problems. So, how about we call it a truce and declare that both are good? On days that I’m on the fence with either beverage, I usually opt for the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Somehow, this chain seems less commercialized than your average Starbucks location. Plus, this nifty Brea location has a handy drive thru and we all know the convenience factor in that. If I’m in the mood for tea, it’s either Green Tea with honey or the Chai Tea Latte. As for the coffee, I take it black these days. Cause, black is the new black, right? I’m always trying to find that unique taste with coffee. No cream or sugar, but maybe a couple packs of artificial sweetener, if I’m being a good boy during the week. On the remote days that I feel like indulging myself, there’s the Original Mocha Ice Blended Drink. This is the frozen sensation that started it all for this coffee chain. It contains coffee extract, chocolate powder and milk, blended with ice then topped with whipped cream. It’s the daddy to the Starbucks Frappuccino. What else can I say about the staff, other than they’re friendly and efficient. They provide my addiction for the moment and I’m usually there to chill for a few minutes during my lunch hour. The random patrons inside are usually quiet and to themselves, often making me wonder what all these people do for a living other than hanging around during the daytime. People watching at its best, I could tell you stories.
