Pier 1 Imports

What a great shopping experience. I was looking for patio cushions. They had them on clearance. A great gal helped me make a coordinated set yesterday, and the manager, jake, helped me find another set for a loveseat and chair set today.
They r beautiful. But the customer service was impeccable. Thank you so much pier one. I have always loved you, but this weekend just made it better.

After upfront disappointment, back-​and-​forth and order cancelation, we approached the store again to work things out. They offered free shipping and offered to arrange the delivery. I agreed and the results were nice. The furniture was delivered and is in good shape. Updating review to 4 stars.

I like shopping here. Some things can be expensive but I like checking out the clearance stuff. Sometimes you can find some great items. I like the kitchen cupcake collection they have in the store since I am a baker. Employes are friendly and store is clean and organized.

Like their products but this store has very incompetent employees who seem to all be on a break in the back. The one in Irvine has better service. Went here to buy multiple items and no one could seem to find any of the items. Then we place an online order AT the store and after I get home I get a call saying, my order is now ready for pick up. Really?! I wasted 2 hours at this store when I could’ve saved a lot of time ordering online. Tip: buy your items online for a good experience!

Sigh. I wish I could buy every single item in this store. There are way too many things that I like. I seldom buy things at full price though so Black Friday weekend was the perfect time to shop for discounted items. I ended up getting our Christmas tree skirt here. It wasn’t cheap, but at least the price was slashed and the workmanship makes me think it should last several years if not forever. I also ended up getting my mother-​in-​law a three-​tier tea platter which was also on sale.
The staff are nice and friendly and make sure you’re taken care of right away without being obtrusive.

Inspiring

My mom has this fantastic rattan swing chair. While visiting her, I spent the day in it reading. Now I need one. Need. Not want.
So, on the way home, we stopped by Pier 1 to buy the same chair. I pictured warm summer days with me reading and swinging.
We walked to the back of the shop and eureka. There it is! And it’s on sale. So are the matching cushions. What luck! My summer day with a book is so much closer.
Or not. The helpful staff answered my questions and then went into the back to get the chair and it’s stand. Then the staff seemed to never come out. Ever. After browsing the store in its entirety… twice…we stood and waited. And waited. And waited. How desperately I want this cozy chair!
Can I say it was worth the wait? Definitely. After the deep discount from the sale, it’s even more wonderful. However, Pier 1, try organizing your stock. I’m not sure I’d wait as long for anything else in the store, though I do like the selection.

Soooo sloow. How long does it take to find inventory?
Well. My better half tells me she was happy with the experience. There was a massive sale going on and she got to buy what she wanted. It took them about 35 min or so to find two items. Apparently my better half used that time getting decorating ideas… I was outside with the dog in 100 degree weather gauging my eyes out (it was more like 90 and I had the AC on). I would give this place four or even five stars if I can stay home next time.

I was dragged into here against my will to go Christmas decoration shopping. I’m not exactly sure what I did to deserve such torture, but I promise not to do it again. I can’t really complain about this store, the chairs by the door were comfy while I waited to be released from my prison sentence. So basically this is a review of walking from the parking lot to just inside the door and then back out. All and all, cool place.

This location is well stocked, and I have been consistently impressed with their service.
While I was shopping there recently, I picked up a piece of wall art and proceeded to carry it around while I finished up my scavenging. About a minute after I picked it up, an employee kindly offered to hold it for me at the counter. When I arrived at the counter a minute later, someone else had already run to the back of the store and boxed up my purchase.
As I’m writing this, I’m feeling like these are things that employees should do — you know, provide good service. However, my experiences, especially in stores like this, have been terrible lately (i.e. employees drinking Starbucks and carrying on conversations about the weekend’s exploits instead of offering assistance to those obviously in need of it). I find both the service and quality of products here to be far above average, and I recommend this place highly as a result.

Good stuff for the house, I enjoy their mini tea light candles in a variety of scents and great accessories such as funky pillows and east asian, south asian and middle easter inspired designs.
I am a fan of this wonderful store, since sadly they closed all the bombay company stores

i have been holding on to a couple of Pier 1 gift cards for the last two years. it was a housewarming present and i never got around to going. so finally i had a reason to go!
when i first walked in, i was very tempted to stray away from my original plan of purchase. everything in there is so purtty. but i stayed strong and went straight to a customer service person to ask for my item. i walked out with a tall director’s chair (to be used as my makeup chair) :D for $ 75. but it was on the gift card so my wallet was untouched. :) yay!
