I pulled up at 6:55& they had closed but we’re still inside. They are supposed to be open until 9:00. I called & asked why & the girl said it was due to the possibility of refreezing. Well, it was 48 degrees according to my vehicle thermometer while I Was sitting in front of the restaurant & the forcast said temps would stay above freezing all night. They also had taped a sign on door that said they were out of all meats. That was a lie because when I asked if I could just get a pound of meat to go, I wasn’t told they didn’t have any meat. I was told no because they had already cleaned everything. They need to decide which lie they want to use, refreezing or no meat, and then stick to it. I was very aggravated at driving all that way only to find that these lazy young people don’t want to work, and equally aggravated with all of their lies to the customers. 1÷26÷2016

If you’ve ever been to Mission BBQ, the set up and menu is very similar. I ordered a Quarter Plate of the pulled pork. Yes, it is plain without sauce. But once you put your choice of sauce on the pork, it soaks into the tender meat. It is delicious! I wish I had ordered more. I wasn’t a fan of the dill potato salad, but really liked the green beans. My daughter had chicken nuggets. Typical kid food. On a side, the tea, waffle fries and ice(yes) all taste like they came from Chick-Fil-A.

Wow! Some of the best barbecue in this entire area! Sweet with a nice spice for the perfect balance, smoked to perfection. We tried the three meat platters with ribs, pulled pork and Texas style beef brisket the sides we tried were good but the show stopper by far were the ribs. The meat was so tender and delicious, melting in your mouth effortlessly. The brisket was lean, tender and heavenly… you really need to try this place it’s amazing!!!

Stopped in the shopping center to find a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. They had a special that included a brisket sandwich, 2 sides, and a drink. Staff was friendly and assisted me in choosing sides that didn’t contain pork. I chose potato salad and collard greens that were cooked with smoked turkey. The brisket was good and the greens were ok but I didn’t like the potato salad at all. The meal was about $ 10 which overall isn’t bad. If in the area I would consider giving it another try but wouldn’t be in a rush.

Great service great food — prices are slightly little high for the area. But very pleased with overall experience !

I was hoping for a new bbq spot and this isn’t it. Had the pulled pork and beef brisket. Both were disappointing in its lack of flavor. It wasn’t the worse but it wasn’t what I would describe as good bbq. Green beans were completely tasteless. Unfortunately, this location will not replace Famous Dave’s for me.

Dry, tasteless, and just downright bad! I purchased a 3 meat combo which consisted of fall off the bone ribs, pulled pork, and chopped brisket. I also had the potato casserole and baked beans. This was a carry out order so maybe that’s why they gave me scrap like food. I will never eat here again! I got full off of drinking juice because the meat was so dry. If this place wants to continue being in business, a lot of changes need to be made. Otherwise, this place is going down. YUCK!!!

Get samples before you buy. If I had done that I wouldn’t have eaten here. Deli sliced ham has more flavor than BBQ at Dickey’s. The pulled pork was soft, mushy, and lacked texture and flavor. The little hoagie(price tag of over $ 4.00) is like two bites worth. Sides were bland. They did have good customer service during my visit. My recommendation — If you want ice cream go to Hershey’s OR even McDonalds. If you want good food, go next door to Mamma Roma’s. If you want good BBQ, go anywhere else.

My go-to spot for great bbq. Finally found a local barbecue establishment that provides great tasting ribs, brisket and sides(potato salad). Will be returning again this week for more hickory smoked ribs and sausage. Best brisket I’ve come across in a while. Ribs so well cooked the meat was dripping off the bones like tear drops.

I’ve been waiting for this place to open. I finally made it thru. I had the 2 meat plate: ribs & beef brisket with beans and onion tanglers. Soooooo goooood

Very excellent Q. Jordan, the manager, was very kind. Loved the beans! We had pulled barbeque sandwiches. Plenty of tender pork. The raw onions as an option were a hit for us — never had that on Q before. Tried both the sweet and spicy sauces. Still can’t decide which I liked better. And who can complain about free ice cream.

BRISKET! I’m addicted to the beef brisket. It is so tender and delicious and they dont just give you all the fatty pieces like other places do. You can add all the onions and pickles you want. I like the ribs. The buttery roll that comes with the meals is great, too. For sides, I like the BBQ beans, green beans, and Cole slaw. I took one star off because of the lack of good sides. The meat itself has good flavor, but their hot BBQ sauce sets it off. The staff is friendly and helpful! Especially a young man named Steve that cuts the meat. I recommend you try it!

Went in right behind one other customer who was on the phone, at 530 pm when other retaurants are busy they had 2 people at a table no other customers. The woman on the phone was talking with someone trying to figure out what she wanted. My wife tried to order and had to repeat 3 times what she wanted(the big sandwich brisket) as we watched this kid scrape the bark off the brisket, the kid then asked did she want chopped or sliced brisket after chopping for about a minute, she stated sliced and a potatoe with brisket, and our son wanted the special. They then stopped taking our order and went to the woman on the phone who walked up to the register. At 530 pm the other employee comes out from the back says to the kid taking our order heres the potato for that lady then comes over to us and said it would be about 20 minutes on potatos they were out. We opted to leave at that point as they were not offering ood customer service, and in no hurry to take our order or have food ready at dinner time. When we called back the manager was defensive, kept accusing me of changing the story and repeated they had to throw all our food out, when I said what food he couldn’t answer and says there you go changing the story again, how about picking a story and sticking to it, you keep changing your story, and stated they took our orders and spoke to me which they didn’t as we only placed 1 order, never told our sides other than the potato, and never placed the third order. AVOIDTHISPLACE, and from friends I am not the only one who has had similar problems there.

Meh. Finally went in the other day to check it out and was slightly disappointed. Service was meh(people at counter seemed forced to say hello and didn’t appear genuine). Menu is slightly confusing but after clarification wanted to try the pulled pork sandwich along with waffle fries. Everything looked pretty good upon first inspection but the pulled pork was lackluster with hardly any flavor! Texture was soft and fine but it sure didn’t seem like it was smoked over anything. Also the food was just tepid and not hot really. Waffle fries were decent though. The free ice cream cone was just ok. Doubt I would return and would stick to famous daves instead.

Service was slow. The BBQ didn’t have much flavor, though texture was ok. The onion tangle was perfectly cooked, but then ruined with way too much salt. The macaroni in the Mac & cheese was overlooked. Don’t think we will be going back. You can do better buying Lloyd’s ribs at the grocery store.

Delicious food and friendly staff. The registers had a glitch that caused the line to back up so the guy working the meat section offered small samples of meat. You also get a free ice cream with your meal. We will be repeat customers.

Fair prices, Quality food, FREEICECREAM!!! I am a local resident of Brandywine as well as a lover of BBQ. I’ve come to appreciate«Texas Rib and BBQ» located in the next town over, however given the choice now, I’ll definitely come to Dickey’s to get my BBQ fix. Why? #1– this restaurant is more like Panera in that you order THEN sit(no waiter/tip to budget into your meal). #2– The food was delicious. Portions were good. I honestly wasn’t expecting the sides to be of such quality, but sure enough they were delicious(So far I’ve tried the coleslaw, beans, mac & cheese, and their fries.) And if the roll they give you is fresh, it’s delicious/soft/hot. OH! #3, their fries are just like Chik-fil-A(waffle cut), which means they are delicious and a reason to come back. #4, THEYHAVEFREEICECREAM!!! Hello, let me repeat myself, FREESOFT-SERVEGOOD-QUALITYICECREAM!(Not that cheap ice-milk stuff you find at Chinese buffets.) Just sitting in the corner by the fountain drink dispenser, calling your name as you finish your BBQ meal to come and make yourself a cone, or two! Lastly, #5, their customer service was great. While in line to pay, their POS system went down for a small chunk of time, and when I politely expressed that I didn’t want to eat cold food(by asking if they had a microwave) the manager’s response was for me to sit down, enjoy my food, then pay when I was finished. I respect that!

Really a 3 to 3.5. I had the rib dinner with two sides, bbq beans and green beans. The meal comes with a yeast roll and I got a fountain drink(sweet tea). The portions were just right — 5 ribs, two good sized side cartons. On the other hand, ribs tasted overdone — too dry and crumbly in each bite. That said, they weren’t horrible. I’ve had much worse at other bbq joints in the area. I hate to damn them with faint praise, but that was my experience. The sides were okay but a little on the bland side. The tea was pretty decent, though I like to mix a little unsweetened with the sweet since most chains make theirs too sweet. Same thing here. The cup is one of those plastic take-home types, you can probably use it for weeks or months. There were three sauces to choose from: regular, sweet, and spicy. I didn’t try the spicy, but the sweet and regular tasted exactly alike to me. Not sure of they made a mistake or that’s just how the recipes taste. The staff was friendly and fast. They have an ice cream machine by the drink fountain — I think the guy said free?! Opening promotion or maybe that’s just their schtick. Since Leftys hasn’t reopened yet I’m willing to give this place another try. TL:DR I wouldn’t recommend you make a special trip, but if you are in the area I’d say it’s worth a try. Edit — Went a second time and the ribs were much tastier. The sides were decent. Everything was a little cold though. Earlier review stands.
