Murray’s Deli

It’s official. Murray’s Deli is no longer in business. The place has been cleaned out, sign taken down, phone numbers disconnected. Sad, but I figured this would be happening sooner or later since I kept asking myself if it was open every time I drove by.

My family and I have been going to Murray’s for over a decade and I usually always get good food. I remember when I was a kid we used to order their pizza because they had the delicious bar style pizza and that was my favorite night when my mom said we were getting pizza!
As I got older and would go in on my own I’ve tried various sandwiches and salads, but my go to is the «chicken Caesar salad» their chicken Caesar salad is the best one you can find in Braintree. I work in Crown Colony and order all the time, and I love the people who work there, they are friendly and after working in the pizza/​sub shop business I understand the hustle and bustle behind the scenes and I think they do a good job of balancing everything they do while still producing really great food.
My only suggestion would be to bring back that pizza chef, when they changed their pizza it didn’t impress me that much, but everything else is great: Cole slaw, «the Braintree» sandwich, and obviously my FAVORITE the chicken Caesar salad, if you get a chance call in an order or salad and pizza and give this place a shot they are totally worth it!!!

If Unilocal would let me give 0 stars I would. I ordered at 11:30 AM and as I write this at 3:45 PM, my food has yet to arrive. No, that is not a typo.
Several calls and guarantees that my food was «on its way» were bold-​faced lies and the employee and manager that I spoke with were both very rude. I got put on hold multiple times to just be hung up on after waiting sometimes over 10 minutes.
I absolutely positively recommend you order from ANYWHERE ELSE.
Also, I have never written a bad Unilocal review before because I generally give places the benefit of the doubt, but this place’s service was so horrendous that they left me no choice. It felt as though they were actively trying to make sure I would never come back, and they certainly succeeded.
I heard rumors it may be under new management (not sure how true/​untrue that is), but if it is, the new management is completely incompetent.

I just ordered delivery from here for the first time. I got the roast beef American cheese combo. On the menu it said that it comes with BBQ sauce and bacon on it, and it had neither. Plain plain plain. Just roast beef and cheese, definitely super dissapointed. The onions rings that I got with it must have been thrown straight from the fryer into the styrofoam box because they had melted it and burned straight through it in several places. I really don’t want to eat them if they have melted styrofoam on them. Also they didn’t throw in some ketchup or marinara sauce or anything to dip them in. Overall I’m just bummed out because the reviews seemed so good for this place! I will say that the roast beef itself was good. I may give it another shot, maybe it was an off afternoon?

I love love LOVE this place! Real chicken, real meats, and a huge variety of foods! Two negative things: one — when I go in they almost never have a great selection of drinks, maybe it’s because of the time and day, two — they don’t have a menu online and the ones that are online are very outdated (unless I’m missing something). Fantastic buffalo chicken, fantastic prastrami subs, fantastic calazones!!!

Been going here for years! Good food. I normally do the roast beef club, can get a little messy with so much stuffing on that tiny sliced bread. I always end up using a fork to pick at it, not what I prefer but it beats picking at the roast beef with my fingers: D

Used to be great but has slid. The girls at the counter and cute and nice but htey can’t seem to get an order straight anymore. Today I ordered a simple corned beef on dark rye. Got back to the office to find a sub roll with something gross inside. Not even close to what I ordered.
Three and out. I’m done.

Great neighborhood deli. In town for a soccer tournament and came for a couple Rubens between games. they were as good if not better as any I’ve had. I highly recommend Murray’s.
