Definitely not authentic Korean food, but a decent place to get your fix of Americanized Korean cuisine. Food lacks the depth and complexity of flavor associated with Korean Food. Bibimbop was decent. Bulgogi was lack luster, sides rather bland and weak on spice. Customer service poor to fair.

Whistle Pig Korean is a hidden gem off a side street in downtown Bozeman off Main Street. This place is just amazing every single time I go. After living with a Korean roommate for four years in college, I was dying to find a local place that serves that Korean comfort food I remember from dinners at his family’s house on visits home. This place never disappoints, and my usual order of the Bulgogi Bimimbap Dolsot Hotpot hits the spot every time. Super fresh, sizzling hot food, friendly efficient staff, great prices, and fantastic food unique to Bozeman. This restaurant should be on everyone’s must-try list!

Awesome and authentic Korean food! Chill atmosphere, you order at the counter, perfect for a quick dinner or lunch. There is no wine or beer but they do have other tasty beverages. Ross, the owner, also hosts a good selection of live music(alternative, punk, etc) at the restaurant too! Good place to stop if you are in downtown bozeman for fast, delicious food that’s not burgers and fries. :)

Small Café with great Korean food. Had Beef Bibimbap. The best I’ve had. Had a challenge with metal chopsticks, but I was obviously successful. Order at the counter and food brought to you. Can’t wait to go through Bozeman again.

I was in town for a day and had to try this place given all the wonderful reviews on Unilocal. This place has a good vibe and hipster feel. Large sit down area and great service. Free downtown parking available. I ordered the beef bulogi bibimbop. The beef and mushrooms were extremely salty! Egg was perfectly over medium, red pepper sauce had a nice bite, and veggies were a bit stingy. The saltiness of the beef was torturous after the meal as my tongue was just fried. Can’t give this place more than 3-star based in the dish I had.

Where I’m from, there is a pretty big korean population — and my current roommate is korean. So, I’ve had some pretty good korean food in my day. Needless to say, I wasn’t necessarily expecting great korean food in Bozeman! I ordered the bulgogi bimbimbap in the sizzling bowl and it was really delicious. The beef was tender, well cooked, and well seasoned; the veggies were tasty, too. The rice didn’t get crispy where it touched the outside of the sizzling bowl like it’s supposed to, but it was still very yummy.(The free cucumber banchan was a bit salty, but appreciated!) This place also seems like a good place for korean food newbies, as they offer to explain the menu. Really enjoyed this place.

Nice little place serving simple Korean. Everything is clean and fresh. Excellent house-made kimchi. I never was able to try the kimchi-jjigae because the owner said the kimchi wasn’t old enough yet, a sign of a great place! However, the dolsot bibimbop was great and they even put the raw egg in it when I asked. What is extra nice is that they offer many healthy variations of the bops, and will use brown rice in anything you ask. Prices are excellent. Also had a great doen-jjang and hoddeok.

Delicious, fast, affordable, and great service. Not fancy. Very filling. Plenty of vegetarian options. Not accessible for those who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility. The hot protein bimbo bowl is amazing.

Legit tasty Korean food in Bozeman! Whistle Pig is a small shop serving up some seriously tasty food. The Bulgogi Bibimbap in the sizzling bowl(you MUST order it in a sizzling bowl) is absolutely delicious. I order it every time. The place is pretty kid-friendly too, and my kids split a side of Bulgogi with rice. My only complaint is that it’s a little pricey. But hey, it’s the only game in town when it comes to Korean food, so I guess that’s ok.

This was an incredible meal, that was made even better by the quality staff. The Bulgogi Bibimbap was absolutely incredible, loved every single bite. The sauce on the side somehow made it even better. All the vegetables were super fresh, and you could definitely tell the quality of ingredients they use. Easy to find parking, clean, and a great experience. If you like Korean food, or want to try something fresh and new, I definitely recommend Whistle Pig.

This place was great. The Bulgogi Bibimbap and the traditional was great. We ordered the spicy pan fried tofu and it was great as well. Suggestion, order your bowl sizzling. Great to have some decent ethnic food in Bozeman.

Sorry, but I have been really unimpressed with Whistle Pig and not sure why so many people have given them a 5STARREVIEW! THATISLITERALLYTHEBESTREVIEWYOUCANGIVE, FOLKS. I have tried this place twice and have experienced very lackluster food. We have tried multiple items and have been left with a very bland taste. The«spicy sauce» that they have is also a joke, it’s flavorless and has no heat. It topped it all off when I was at La Tinga and the guy who had made our food the night before at Whistle Pig sat at the table behind us. I overheard the conversation he was having with the other gentleman and he said«Ya, I am amazed at how many people rave about our food– it’s really nothing special, and I’m the cook.» laughter ensues… Enough said.

My Bibimbap was really good. It is warm white rice topped with sauteed veggies, meat and egg.

I have a ridiculous obsession with Bibimbap in a hot bowl, and Whistle Pig SERIOUSLY delivers! The extra $ 2 for the dolsot is worth it. Everything we had was delicious. This is my new favorite little place in Bozeman, a must visit for anyone who loves good food!

Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was great, too! If you eat gluten free, be sure to ask for the hot sauce to be made gluten free — they’ll do it for you! The flavors were fantastic. It was our first experience at a Korean Restaurant, and we will definitely be back!

can i just say that i am soooooo relieved to find a korean joint in bozeman that has good kimchi. thank you good lawd!!! i swung in and tried the traditional and tuna kimbap for an afternoon snack and was delighted to discover that they were fresh, tasty, and cheap. i got even more excited when i found out that they offer bingsu, pancakes, and japchae. seriously. small tear down the face. kimchi was free with the order, service was timely and super friendly, establishment was clean and well lit. only bummer for me was that the tuna kimbap was prepared sans mayo. i likey the mayo. i will definitely be back.
