Northern Table

Came in here last night for dinner. Didn’t even know this place existed. Been coming to the area for years, but the last time we spent any time up here was in May of last year. You can easily miss this place if you’re not looking for it. Really glad it caught our eye though.
The place was pretty empty when we rolled in around 8pm. We sat at the bar and were greeted promptly. The bartender was really friendly and we chatted with him and the chef quite a bit. They had a risotto on special that was phenomenal. I was pretty much stuffed after a side of it, but kept gorging myself on calamari and a burger that we split. Everything was amazing except for the fact that I stuffed myself way beyond what any normal human being should do.
Loved the atmosphere and we got to check out the bar that is upstairs. Again — no idea that the place existed, but looking forward to coming back in summer and spending some time at both places. Definitely worth checking out. Prices are in the mid-​high teens for most entrees and dipping into the lower 20s for the premium dishes. Well worth the price for the quality of the food.

Amazing food. Staff was awesome. Adam the bartender was very knowledgeable and made a fun impromptu tasting! Mike the waiter was great too and food just delicious!

there is only one word for this place and that word is AMAZEBALLS. the husband and I are on vacation this week and we stopped here for lunch as soon as we got into town. I am so glad we did. being from Chicago the whole farm-​to-​table concept is not new to us but we were completely wowed by this place. we shared the BLT soup to begin with and it was fantastic. my husband got the gyro and said it was the best one he ever had, and coming from Chicago that says ALOT. I got the smokehouse burger and it was incredible; again, better than any burger I’ve had in the city. you could definitely tell the proteins were local and super fresh. the owner, mark, was behind the bar and he had great recommendations for beer and was really knowledgeable about liquor in general. everything was just so awesome; I mean, it’s two hours later and I can’t stop thinking about the burger. we will definitely be back here!

Great dinner! We came on «Date Night» but did not take advantage of the special. I had the ribeye, husband had the meatloaf. Both were awesome.
Dinners do not come with a first course, but there was plenty with the awesome bread with dipping oil!
Good draft beer selection too!
Cat, our waitress, is the best!

Excellent service and delicious food. The food is a lovely twist on the classics using locally sourced food from michigan farms. The servers are well informed and great at highlighting where tge food is coming from and how the chef is preparing it.
