Boyne Country Provisions

Very good selection for Boyne. Tons of Michigan beers. Their selection was short on Dogfish Head, and Stone, but had all the New Belgium beers. People are always very friendly.

I’ve always enjoyed my experience here. Great great knowledgeable staff, I once bought a pizza with 6 items and only got charged for 3… I guess I just live right, or I’m just really lucky!

Have gotten several pizzas here over the summer. They taste good but they have never once gotten our order right. Tonight I got a pizza with 3 toppings on one half and 3 toppings on the other half. They charged me $ 19.61 for the pizza. When I asked if they were charging me for 6 toppings when I have the equivalent of 3, they said yes. Had I not been so hungry, I would have left and not paid for it. Insult to injury, when I opened the box when I got back to the car, I found out once again, they messed up the toppings. So I paid $ 20 for a pizza that is worth about $ 12 and it isn’t even right! Sorry. I am done getting pizza at provisions. A basic round large pizza is not worth $ 20!
Update: Changing my rating to a 4 for 2 reasons. Aside from the pizza issues, I really like this store. Great foods and wines and beer selection next door. Also, the owner was very responsive and actively tried to correct the issues with the pizza pricing and topping mistakes. He also issued a gift certificate to cover the overcharge and the wrong toppings in the past. I appreciate is responsiveness and the will continue to visit his store.

Great N. Michigan market! Many of my favorite wines, beers, and booze plus everything to go with it. It’s a bit of a drive from Gaylord but who cares! The shop is a great experience, and the owners are approachable, knowledgeable and friendly which makes your visit well worth it. Run don’t walk!!!

This place is incredible! Even the pizza on the weekend is insane. The owner is sweet as can be.

Worth a visit for sure! I’m a craft beer, craft spirits freak and enjoy a good red wine. They’ve got it all, separate store connected with an amazingly diverse wine selection. Great selection of spirits and local and national craft beer. Cigars, a few local food and snack options plus a great selection of bar tools. Helpful, attentive service and a good location.

I would agree that this is a fantastic store and conveniently located in town. I would definitely know your wines before shopping there, however. Especially when you attend certain venues in town you get 20% off, make sure you don’t get swayed into choosing another brand that does not qualify for the discount. I did it and was sorry later. just sayin…

You can buy wine anywhere, perhaps more cheaply, but you won’t get this! Will you get a guy, Ed, & his wife Chris who WILL remember you from visit to visit by name and ask how your knee surgery went? Will you get someone who shares everything he knows about wine, which is substantial, in a way most pedestrians can understand? Will you get a guy you can ask to pick out 6 wines, given a price range and score a hit with EVERY one because he knows your tastes already? Saturday wine tastings are a highlight of our week! I explained to Ed, as new home owners up here, we don’t have a social circle yet, but we do wish someone would greet us and welcome us home when we arrive. Ed and Chris have met that need for us along with many other wonderful Boyne City proprietors! Go here-​feel at home!

Ok, this place was great before, but it’s even better now. They just added a whole addition in December featuring wine, cheeses, and other specialty (read: suuuuper expensive) items. The look of this addition is pretty minimal, with the jars and boxes of stuff on metal baker’s racks, but it has a nice feeling to the place. I even saw two breasts of local chicken in a freezer for $ 8 that someone may have the coin to splurge for.
People in the regular old convenience store are just as nice, and we found some good beer from Short’s that we enjoyed. I’m sure we’ll be back about ten thousand times this week.
