We loved it! The owner is fabulous– he made us feel right at home. Great place to have a cup of coffee, go on a date, do some sopping or all of the above! We will defiantly be back.

Yes yes yes. In the oasis that is the 10 east drive through Texas, stop here and get a hipster cup. Trust me, the cold brew is bangin.

I love the atmosphere of this charming place! The food is good, but the coffee is inconsistent. Also, the long wait in line to order is not pleasant. I would love it if the coffee included refills. Overall, not my favorite place in Boerne.

Very disappointed after we visited today. Was excited to take my kids there for Spring Break, but it was terrible. The children’s portion is a joke. Suitable for certainly age 3 and under– not 12 and under like the menu indicated. My daughter was very upset and embarrassed when the whole table laughed at the plate. It was not a good experience and if we return, it won’t be with the family.

Situated on the corner of Main and Jefferson, is an establishment that’s been in business, in one form or the other, for over 100 years. The building itself is an architectural museum worthy of a visit. Dienger Trading Company Bistro is just one«business» inside this corner building. It’s a café and bakery restaurant with some home made pastries and pies. The coffee menu offers some rather enticing items like a John Wayne drink, as well as a Tres Leches latte. I went for a and iced chai that I found a bit overpowering. My wife and I shared a cinnamon roll and we were unimpressed. The biggest issue with cinnamon rolls is not getting them while they’re hot. Like most cinnamon rolls, not fresh from the over, it had turned into a rather dried out hunk of break. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bistro itself is a nice relaxing place with a functioning air conditioning system and lots of tables. Outside seating is also available but the noise from Main Street is extremely loud so I do not recommend it.

Love this place for morning coffee or a great place for Girl’s Lunch. You can talk and actually hear each other. Cute stuff to look at it and buy as well as good food. Good Service and friendly staff.

The boutique is visually appealing. They have jewelry, candles, shoes, boots, baby clothes and handmade shoes,. For men, they had soap, candles, room spray, shaving kits, belts, and more. The women working there were friendly and helpful. I wandered into the café and ordered an English breakfast tea latte’. I prefer this one compared to the one at Starbucks. Again, the staff in the café were very friendly and helpful. The café is also visually appealing. I’m happy I checked this place out. I will definitely drop in every time I am in Boerne.

Cute little find in boerne, the ambiance was beautiful and the sandwiches were good enough… But the service was def lacking. Personally I think service can make or break a business. Maybe they need to hire some people who actually smile when u walk through the door.

My review is mostly for breakfast and baked goods! I’ve only had the opportunity to enjoy those meal times since a miss the small time for lunch… I’ve have the quiche several times and I’ve enjoyed everyone except the spinach one. The fruit compote served on the side is probably the best part of the meal you can see the specs of fresh vanilla in the fruit juices. After I finish the fruit I usually pour the leftover juice in my water to go. I’ve had the coffee and oatmeal cream pie omg amazing!!! The atmosphere is joyful and a refreshing vibe brought to Boerne. The GIFTSHOP or boutique has lots of good quality finds. Very eclectic selection. Fun to browse around! I love the egg white soap it’s become part of my beauty routine!

4 stars for ambience — beautiful! But tables are very close together and with the small rooms of large parties come in the noise is amplified exponentially 2 stars for food –good enough but definitely overpriced for the portion sizes 1 star for the overpriced over-iced iced coffee that they don’t offer refills for 2 stars for the customer service– service was quick and the males were all friendly but the females all had a snootiness that was off putting –especially when visiting a small town like Boerne. –1 star for the feeling I wished I’d gone to a more established place for brunch

This is a review of the moon pie and moon pie only. I could probably go in every single day for one, literally nostalgia with a semi-salty, dark, sweet finish. Incredible ‘Moon Pie’ you have just whispered to my soul, and reminded me to be silly, Smile and to have fun. I really enjoy the slightly crumbly texture of the cookie wafers as its bitten, reminds me of graham crackers with an amazing melted chocolate coating that I will never forget. Thank you so much for this treat, Jessica E. Valerio.

This is my final review. I am going to do something else with my time. I have added a very excellent and informative photograph in recognition of all the people who enjoy taking pictures of their food.

To clarify my rating: Food — 3 Dessert — 4 Ambiance — 5 Ambiance goes a long way in Boerne. The city is full of charm but as far as restaurants go, most drop the ball. Not this place. It is a blogger’s dream. Black and white floors, café chairs, marble tables, chalkboard menus, and that’s just one room. I ordered the grilled cheese with a cup of tomato basil soup. The grilled cheese is on the kids menu and the soup was the special for the day. How these people didn’t think of combining them, blew my mind. The soup was thin and not the best I’ve ever had. I prefer a richer soup. The grilled cheese was not super flavorful but grilled to perfection. I imagine they stock a cheese children will love. The mini chocolate cake was very delicious and best to share between 2 people. I rounded out my meal with a glass of red wine. All in, I spent $ 30 for lunch. Tip included.

The wait time wasn’t terrible considering most places in Boerne are packed at lunch. It took less time to get our food than to order. It is a seat yourself and they’ll bring your food kinda place. The best plan of attack is to let your wife or buddy snag a table while you order. I got the Parmesan Crusted Club and my wife got the Antler Room Cobb Salad. Both were delicious and the meat was from the local meat market. Very much recommend them. My only complaint is the noise level. It was pretty loud, but we could still carry a conversation. Maybe need some rugs or something on the wall to absorb the sound. Too bad they aren’t open later. They have beer, wine, and desserts and would probably make for a nice evening hangout.

Our first time here for lunch. Stand in line to order, get a number and they’ll find you and give you your food. Sounds easy. We ordered, got our drink and dessert and proceeded to try to find a table. No dice. All full. We approached an empty two-seat table only to be told it was spoken for. Ok we go back up front and sit on two small bar stools at the small bar. The order line is directly behind us, so it’s not the most comfortable. Our food is served to us there. The busser said she would get us a table. Didn’t happen. One table was marked ‘reserved’. No one showed up for that table during the time we were there, about an hour and a half. The food is a solid three stars. Good, substantial sandwiches and baked goods. The two stars is for a gross lack of crowd control. Many people wandering around for a table. A group came in after us, were called by name and promptly seated. But not at the ‘reserved’ table. Unfortunately, several tables were occupied by folks with laptops who were there for the long haul. Go to Starbucks with that crap. We want to eat and go.

What a beautiful job in redoing an historic building in Boerne. Looking around it looks first class all the way, right down to the tile floors. And from the crowds you can see this place is needed. A real coffee shop right on the square in Boerne. The pastries look beautiful, but today the sweet roll was stale. Muffins might sell better and be fresher. At least they were bring them out at a good pace. Coffee is good and strong, but be prepared to wait. Our 4 coffees«To Go» took 25 minutes. Yesterday took 20. They really need to get their process down. Today it was blamed on new baristas. Not sure why you would hire inexperienced baristas in a new coffee shop. They plan on serving breakfast and lunch. I hope they get their processes down before they bight off more than they have now.
