Best breakfast in town! Love the expanded menu. We are regulars around here and have been just about everywhere for breakfast.

While on a road trip to get away from ‘Life’, I found myself at The Daily Grind in Boerne, Texas. Nothing like venturing out to another small town /community in Texas and enjoying Texan hospitality. Sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee with a few locals. Boerne has grown since I was last there many moons ago. Great coffee and patrons seemed to enjoy the food and ambiance. I’d highly recommend this place if ever in Boerne, Texas. Cheers***

Good coffee with plenty of places to lounge around. However they clean up a whole hour before closing time. One worker even keeps looking at the customers as if to rush them out.

Excellent choice for our pre-shopping coffee and breakfast break while visiting Main Street for the Dicken’s on Main weekend. Daily Grind is a local treat, the employees are friendly and efficient and the coffee was Starbucks quality and McDonald’s prices. The kolaches were fresh and tasty… my daughter devoured hers in minutes. We will return to try out their lunch menu.

Laid back coffee shop. Did not try the food. Free wifi and good coffee. Lots of seating and a nice place to drink coffee while wife shops all of the cute stores up and down the street. Not much in the way of pastries but the food looked good.

Caveat: My review does not address the food offered here. I love local coffee shops that have personality, a nice ambience, and interesting specialty drinks. In other words, I look to local coffee houses to provide what I can’t get from a Starbucks. While being perfectly adequate in most respects, Daily Grind does not deliver on those above-mentioned criteria. What this place has going for it: — courteous staff — rustic vibe — restaurant attached Only complaint: I walked in one afternoon with a book and a hankering for maybe a mocha or a frappé. I could swear that the lady in front of me ordered some fancy dessert-ish coffee drink, and I decided to order the same thing. I guess I misheard her, because when I ordered, the barista looked at me like I had grown a horn. She offered to put some coconut in a mocha for me instead, which I accepted. It was… gross. TLDR: This place is fine, but depending on what kind of coffee establishment you’re looking for, Starbucks might be the better alternative in Boerne.

OK but definitely not great. Sandwiches and coffee are good, but the staff seems totally disinterested in the customers. Creamer is often emptied out along with some of the coffees.

I’ve tried their Reuben and it was okay. I’ve also had some biscotti from here as well(I can’t remember which one exactly) but I do remember that I liked it. Very comfy inside — plenty of room — and they do have tvs if you feel like watching while you dine(or wait). If you’re looking for sugar packets, coffee stirrers, etc, they’re in the adjoining room to your right(when you’re facing the counter). The employees have been pleasant on all my visits.

Stopped at this small coffee shop in downtown Boerne on the main street. They have a limited number of salads and sandwiches from which to choose. I ordered the corned beef and it was OK. The other ordered a large salad which they liked very much. It was close to lunch time and the place needed some tiding up as tables were stacked with dishes and the floor needed sweeping. The coffee are was right next to the rest room which likewise could have stool some cleaning. Although this is shown as a coffee shop we did not have any coffees. The kitchen is in sight of everyone – take a look!

The atmosphere was pretty cozy. They had a nice variety of sandwiches and the girl working at the counter was very friendly. My tuna sandwich was delicious! It’s a nice place to stop between antique shops.

I have been in on several occasions. When you order, you have to wait in a line and order with the cashier. This just about drives me bonkers! The wait is a little much but if you have the time it is worth it. It is defiantly a laid back Boerne spot. I absolutely loved my sandwich and my annoyance with the wait quickly dissipated. The last time I was here, I stopped in after lunch to work on my laptop and grab a cup of joe. I was so irritated with the wait of the line I just went and sat down. The atmosphere here is great so again, once I got rid of the wait I was OK. I must have sat there for 45 min-hour working and I thought it was strange no one came up to ask if I needed anything. So free wi-fi here I come! If you just want a place to kick back and don’t care too much about customer service(no one is rude, just inattentive) then you will like the oversized chairs and ambience of the place just fine. They should just hope someone doesn’t move to town offering the same but better customer service. The Grind will be a wrap!

We stopped in for coffee one afternoon, and I’m beginning to wonder if all coffee in central Texas isn’t brewed super strong by law. This was no different. Good, but strong. The service was weird… three drinks that could have potentially been mine ended up sitting on the bar together, none labelled with either a name or what the drink was. I stood there looking confused for a minute but had to flag down the server to ask which was my latte… she said they were all the same so I grabbed one and left. It was a comfortable place enough to sit and take a break from the shopping.

The food was really good and fresh and the service was fine, but the restaurant and bathroom really need a good scrubbing. The tables and chairs all felt greasy. I hate to imagine what the kitchen might have looked like.

We were looking for a Sunday morning breakfast place wasnt crowded but not because of the food. This eliminated Magues, Bear Moon and Grettles because of the crowds, so I remembered that the Boerne Grill served breakfast in a relaxed comfortable environment. Their coffee selections were good and their breakfast sandwiches on english muffin were inexpensive $ 2.50 and YUMMY. The pancakes were huge and with sausage for $ 4, a real bargain. The counter services is always a little suspect but their short order cook keeps things moving. We tried to get another breakfast order after 11am and were told they were switching to lunch. Come on people, when are you gonna learn. We persevered since the place wasnt real busy and asked them to reconsider, which they gladly did, once the cook was asked to accomodate existing patrons. Besides the breakfast menu, their lunch and dinner specials looked awesome too. They also make homemade muffins, pigs, etc. Thankfully, this place hasnt changed much.

Noticed that the Boerne Grill and the Daily Grind are pretty much one in the same. There’s an open space in the wall to access the other. On this visit, I stopped in for lunch with my fiancée and I had the standard Reuben sandwich. It was very flavorful… the sauce, corned beef, sauerkraut and the bun were complimented beautifully. Nothing overpowered each other, and with the chips that came with the sandwich, was a delight. She had the chicken salad dish which came served like a taco salad within a crispy tortilla shell. She said that her salad wasn’t too strong, as there were no other veggies that could take away from the dish. She said that she enjoyed the salad very much. On the way in, there was a sign that said that they made home made shakes(in 3 flavors – strawberry, vanilla and chocolate)…I had the vanilla. It was easy to digest… not very thick, but just thick enough to need a spoon to consume it. For dessert, we had a huge brownie without pecans which was warmed up with a large scoop of Blue Bell ice cream on it. What a wonderful lunch. I’m sure I’ll be back if I ever get up that way again.

This is an update for the Boerne Grill. We stopped here for lunch on Sunday. I ordered the special – BLT with cheddar cheese and avocado. YUMMY. Could have used a little more mayo. Chips and Queso – OUTSTANDING! The chips tasted/felt like they were made there in the restaurante – as if someone took home-made flour tortillas and cut them into perfectly sized wedges and then fried them. Queso had just a little kick – super tasty! Ordered a vanilla milkshake for the kiddo – it was so good that I finished ¾ of it. We also had coffee – my latte wasn’t fabulous, but it was alright.
