Absolutely love this place! The food is always great and the employees are very friendly. I’ve never had anything other than their sushi, but I definitely recommend the ‘Roll Tide Roll’!

Ugh! It’s okay. Been here twice over past 2 years. Every time I pray service will be better. Every time, it’s borderline bad. Food, it’s okay. My ranking for Bham Thai food. Right in the middle. Also I hate these Asian food place that adds sushi. Just an FYI for those who get sushi at these places. Yes, it’s just a fad… These restaurants do not have qualified sushi chef and just trying to increase profit.

My regular sushi place after work or after the gym. The service is always wonderful and everyone there is so kind and remembers me. I can only speak to their sushi menu as that is all I try but my friends have tried other items and enjoyed that as well. I particularly like the bagel roll, edamame, rainbow roll and roll tide roll. The owners have also told me they will make rolls by request so I might take them up on that soon!

I really dig this place. First off, the staff is beyond friendly. I’ve never had a dish here that wasn’t good. I usually get the spicy noodle chicken, pad prik or pad see-u. The spicy coconut soup with tofu is the best. I also like the potstickers with panang sauce. I’ve never had the sushi, but I imagine it is delicious like everything else! Great for dine-in or take-out!

I have only gotten take out from Nori. Their sushi is very good and have tried the nori roll and super crunch– both awesome. their coconut soup is delicious. I ventured out one time and got something different one day. The pad thai with chicken. I was super excited about it after all the reviews. sadly, I wasn’t a fan– the ginger was WAY to overpowering in my opinion. My bf always gets the spicy beef noodle extra spicy and it’s always consistent and would recommend to anyone that loves some heat to their food. staff is great as well.

Staff was very attentive and polite. Loved the Twist Lemon Sashimi… Husband asked for sushi without the cream cheese and they made it with no issue and even offered to make Nigiri if he wanted that instead. Read comments about the green walls… Didn’t bother us at all. Thought it looked more modern. Not the typical«Asian theme». Will definitely be back for more!

This place is great! Friendly staff and great food! Plus they deliver! Also has a sushi happy hour 3−5p. I recommend the super crunch roll, nori roll and spicy beef salad were all phenomenal.

I take out from here. It’s always fast, and the food is pretty good. I would recommend the massaman, savory and a little sweet. Lunch special is a good deal.

We have been coming here for several years and have always had excellent food and service. Sushi is amazing. Chicken Masaman is the best in birmingham. Oh! And the coconut soup is so soothing yet has a good bite.

Let me start with the good. The service. Very attentive and nice. I just wish the food was better. I chose Nori Thai for one reason. The super crunch roll. I had an identical roll at another establishment in five points. When I saw that Nori had it as one of their lunch specials along with a spicy tuna roll for $ 9.95, I was beyond excited. The rolls were pre-made. No doubt about it. The rice was chewy and weird. The spicy tuna didn’t have any spice to it what-so-ever. The super crunch was slightly better. Since the rolls were made ahead the tempura crunch was no longer crunchy. And to add insult to injury, they were served on a warm plate. I guess you get what you pay for but a sushi restaurant should never pre-make their sushi. This isn’t publix. My husband had the pad prik chicken which he said was good. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Good service seems to be a lost art at some establishments, not so at Nori. I was met by three smiling faces as I came in and the courtesy didn’t stop throughout the meal. I had the sushi lunch special with eel and salmon. The sushi was excellent, the coconut soup was watery and sub par. But the service! The manager just came by to refill my drink. Goes a long way and earns them that fifth star.

I returned here post workout this past week: all around the experience was improved. The food was exactly what we were looking for. The flavors were on point and the portions are HUGE. The Chicken Larb was super yummy. not as spicy as indicated but all the right flavors are there. The holy basil with beef was a thicker sauce then I am used to but, again, all the flavors were right. Finally, the service was sweet and attentive. It’s super close and convenient to Lifetime Fitness so get your sweat on and then come here for recovery food.

I have been to Nori Thai three times as it is close to my running around area, but not because it was my first choice on the latter two occasions. The Thai dishes are okay. Portions are a bit small. The sushi lunch specials are good, but not stellar. They are served generally with 5 pieces to the roll, but are a good value. Service is super and there is never a wait either for a table, for the food to be delivered or for the check. The people are very friendly and helpful. This is a pretty quick in and out for a full service restaurant. The place itself is a bit small and not particularly well decorated, but it suffices. I recommend it with reservations. If you are in the area and in the mood for sushi or Thai cuisine, stop in. You may not be awed, but you will not regret it, either. Again, the people here are so respectful and helpful compared to what you normally encounter with native American hosts and servers, it is worth a visit just for that.

I can’t believe people rate this place with(4*) Apparently they haven’t eaten at a Sushi or Thai Restaurant. «Nori Thai-Sushi» is the worst sushi restaurant we have ever been to. First it is in a small shopping center… when you walk in, the first thing you see is ugly Neon Green walls. We first order the(Coconut Soup) wrong choice, terrible! We had a(Super Crunch) Roll, not the best. My husband ordered the(Fried Catfish Salad) off the lunch menu and it was terrible. I had the(Chicken Panang) it wasn’t bad, but the curry sauce was a little sweet. We are visiting from Sugar Land Texas, check Unilocal where to eat … Glad we did. As we enter the restaurant the staff greets us with a smile. The staffs were friendly, they all look neat and clean… Service was really good. The food was good. We tried the coconut soap both chicken and tofu … delicious. The pot stickers with panang curry full of flavor. The pad thai is good not to salty. The blazer roll is good as well. The presentation for all our orders was nicely done. We are satisfied with the price of the food as well.

We started with two appetizers. We ordered the Pot Stickers with Panang Curry. The dumplings were very good. The dumpling skin was thin and tender, and the filling was a nice mixture of pork and veggies. The panang was a red curry that was flavorful, but not spicy. The combination was unique and went together well. The second appetizer was a Spider Roll and it was wonderful. The soft shell crab was lightly fried to perfection. The roll was sliced into bite sized pieces that stayed together. The roll was presented on a small rectangular plate, and you could tell that the sushi chef took pride in its presentation. I ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle and I thought it was excellent. The flat noodles were cooked just right, soft, but not mushy. The beef was marinated, and it was flavorful and tender. The vegetables(broccoli, green beans, onions, and tomato) were all bursting with freshness. I especially liked the tomato slices. I thought the sauce needed to be a lot spicier. Jennifer and Linh both ordered the Pad Thai. It comes with both chicken and shrimp. The shrimp were especially good. Fresh bean sprouts were on the side so they don’t get too cooked down. The sauce seemed to be missing something, and I thought it was a little too sweet. I would ask them to make it spicy. Kristine ordered the chicken fried rice. It was a huge portion, and also was topped with cooked tomato slices. She thought the dish was on point. Overall I’m a definitely a fan. Good service, entrees were piping hot, and large portions. Also, I thought the prices were very reasonable.

Nothing went wrong. we were pretty impressed! Server checked on us very frequently and were very nice. I think the owner or maybe manager also came by plenty of times to check on us. He was very friendly and very courteous! Everyone smiled every time! It was infectious! Could not complain about the food at all, everything was well seasoned, not over seasoned or bland. We had the jalapeño yellowtail, lemon twist sashimi and the crispy Rock chicken for starters and everything was great! We also had the crab angel roll and the beef pad see-u. Yum! Everything was just delicious! We’re visiting from New Orleans and thanks to Unilocal,we found this restaurant and are leaving very satisfied!

Probably my favorite place. You can not beat the prices here– best food and wonderful staff! Appetizers– I recommend the crab wontons, spring rolls, and my all time favorite the Tempura Green Beans(trust me. they are good!) The sushi is great– I recommend the Blazer Roll and Shrimp Tempura roll. The fried rice is delicious, I always get it with tofu and has a wonderful flavor.
