The bar is located on top of one of the mountain tops(the Geronimo ski lift). Especially when it is foggy or snowing, you can hear the grill before you see it. That is because they have reggae music blaring. There is a bar and they serve grilles food like hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs. The food is fine but it, along with alcoholic drinks, is overpriced given that it is located on the slopes. We always stop here for lunch or to grab a drink.

Located at one of the tops of Bear Mountain, I ended up here when I felt it was time to break for lunch. There weren’t too many people around as most eat down at the base where there’s more food options. Ask me the closest chair number to this spot and I won’t be able to tell you as I didn’t pay attention. The menu was very limited. I went with a hamburger for $ 7.25. There aren’t any fries to compliment your burger but I think they sold chips. Some guy nearby was drinking a beer. It was bigger than the standard bottle and it didn’t look domestic. You place your order at the register under the roof. She gives you a receipt that you take to the guy at the grill. He reheats the patty and plates it up with the lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles. Then you help yourself to condiments back under the shelter. Surprisingly, my burger was pretty good, not overcooked which could be the case elsewhere on the two resorts. The patty is sprinkled with seasoning. I really liked that they have packets of bbq sauce available. It made my burger taste extra yummy. Can’t beat the atmosphere with the fresh air, surrounded by the trees and snow. They were playing music that made the staff get up and dance and I couldn’t help but move to the beat myself. Seating is only outdoor. There are tables at the front and back of the shelter and a couple of small Red Bull tables to stand at while you enjoy an ice cold beer. There aren’t any racks for your board or skis up here so you just have to lay it against the post or walls. This is a good place for nourishment if you’re feeling like a burger before getting back on the slopes.
