Great place in the Bear for burgers, cold brew and sandwiches. No Fries and Cash Only, which don’t bother me but a fair warning for first timers. Have to try this place when up in Big Bear and they are closed on Wednesdays also.

A nice little joint. I had there bj burger on a onion roll. It was very tasty. They have I believe five different cheeses you can choose from. Wife had a steak sandwich and my daughter had a French dip. All the food was very good. The staff there was very pleasant and the refills of our soda were never even asked for that’s how on the ball they are. The only complaint that I could offer is that they do not served French fries with their food. They offer chips or sides of either potato or pasta salad. But that should not stop you from eating here. It is a ton better than any fast food place you could ho to and it is relatively the same price if not cheaper. So if you are looking for a very good burger or a sandwich at extremely reasonable prices and a staff that is pleasant then this is a place that is for you.

Excellent. Like others said, cheap COLD beer, delicious burgers and sandwiches. Fast and fresh. Very «local» in feel, cash only, picnic tables and benches. Modest prices and friendly staff. Will get crowded at lunch and dinner so go during off hours if you can. We will most definitely return!

BJ’s is mine and my boyfriend’s favorite restaurant in Big Bear. Super cold beer, absolutely delicious burgers, and nice sides. (Not a big fan of the vinegary coleslaw, but some people may be into it, and everything else is outstanding.) The place has a great atmosphere, good prices, and the lady who runs it is always super friendly. It’s always a great experience and we leave with satisfied, happy bellies.

Found Bjs on Unilocal and will go back every time we visit the area. Very yummy pastrami dip and rueben sandwiches. Potato and macaroni salads were great. Small, friendly, cozy, homemade, awesome place. Stuffed and fairly priced!

Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don’t have high chairs for little ones. We were not able to eat there so did take out instead.
The waitress was very pleasant. We had a burger, the Ruben, chilly and ham melt for the kiddos. Everything was good. Chilly is very nice and smokey but spicy so be ready for that. Really no complains about the food or service.

Hands down best chili in big bear! I stumbled into this places yesterday morning! The chili is amazing!!! I absolutely loved the atmosphere! Kim was our waitress and she’s just as loving and caring as your mom could be. Gotta love that homy comfy feeling you’ll get here!
I also recommend the IPA that they offer its really good!

B. j’s is a legit mom and pop cooking. This little joint is our go to spot for when we are craving a quality made sandwich or burger. If you are looking for a modern sleek style restaurant this is not the place for you and that’s why I love it. It’s an old school little «dive» food spot that serves up cold beer and awsome quality food. If you are wanting something for a big appetite or something to share, try any of there sandwiches and get it on a french roll (it’s BIG!) And you will not be disappointed. Also they have the best macaroni salad on the mountain i.m.o.

I found an amazing veggie burger. The entire experience, was amazing. The chef/​owner came out to see if everything was to our liking, because we had allergy problems. My advice to anyone going here is, say please, and thank you. Do not be rude. If you are not polite you will not the get excellent service we got.

Look, if I could be convinced to give any business 5 stars, it would be BJs. This is the BEST BURGER ON THE MOUNTAIN. Yes, it is small. No, they don’t serve french fries. But the sides they offer are delicious, and their burgers are HUGE! Seriously, unless you want to eat an entire cow, don’t order the double! I did, once. The next time I went I was reminded by a coworker about the size of their patties and wisely got the perfectly filling single party. Get your burger or chicken on sourdough, you will not be sorry! I don’t like to give 5 star reviews because every business can always improve and I love my fries, but I could be persuaded to give BJs 5 stars. Another business not located in the Village, so expect to find it filled with locals who know where the best places to eat are. If you’re a tourist, BJs is a must eat!

CHEAP BEER AND GREAT FOOD!
They have a sign that states, «Cheap Beer and Lousy Food!» at their restaurant but I think their burgers were far from lousy– they were quite excellent!
The service was warm and welcoming as the guy behind the bar greeted us when we came in and left. There’s plenty of room outside in the nice mountain air breeze too.
Nice lady cut our burgers in half and allowed us to each get a side when she knew my husband and I were sharing! Very nice :)
Chili was delicious and we enjoyed the potato salad more than the Mac salad. The burgers were flavorful and filling (1⁄3 lb burger).
Best part is their beers are cheap just as advertised! A pitcher $ 8.50 and a mug under $ 2!!!

Random stop for a bite to eat and everything beat any expectations set from looking at it from the outside. Good burger and quite simply the best potato salad I’ve ever hard. First time I didn’t need to add more pepper.
