We came in looking for a place that has a good kids menu. We ordered food for the adults and the kids. Everyone was impressed by their own meal. The food is so fresh, tasty and healthy. Sara was our server, she is so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back to this place. The French onion soup was a bomb.

Great food at a good price. I’ve passed this place dozens of times while in Big Bear not never stopped in. Today I did. I was pleasantly surprised at the wait staff, food and atmosphere. The food portions were large and freshly prepared. I had the Cobb salad and my wife had the chicken tostada. Both were excellent. In short, I’ll be back.

One of the best places to eat in Big Bear. I would highly recommend this place to any visitors coming to the area. The food and ambiance is wonderful!

Yum! We came in on a Sunday at noon and were expecting to wait, but we were seated immediately. We had pancakes, a Spanish omelette and I can’t remember what my husband ordered but everyone was happy and full!

My 4 star rating here stems primarily from the happy hour experience. The drinks are only $ 4 and they have free popcorn. Also the bar staff is really friendly and cheerful. Seems to be a local watering hole with what seemed to be a good amount of locals here. They pour a great drink and the food smelled and looked really great as well. I would definitely go here again when in Big Bear. I’m giving the place 2 $‘s because it’s all based on how much you drink. Will try the food menu next time.

The 1⁄3 lb burger with melted bleu cheese and applewood smoked bacon was mouth watering, and left me wanting more. It was complimented perfectly with the pickle fries.

Found this place through Bring Fido and ended up lunching here for with 2 kiddos and a pup. We ate in the quiet patio and had a great time. The kids got crayons and an activity filled menu which they had lots of fun with while we waited for the food. Per the kids they had the«best chicken fingers ever.» I had a veggie burger which was also pretty tasty. The portions are very generous!

Had a delicious breakfast here over the weekend! I ordered the Spanish omelet and it was amazing! Packed with so much flavor, bacon, salsa, spinach, cheese and avocado! Soo good! I ordered their fresh squeeze orange and their large is REALLY large, but for $ 6 it was not a bad price. Service was really friendly, a little slow, but worth the wait!

Breakfast on a holiday. They were very nice which is hard to find up there these days. We had the eggs and pancakes, hash browns, and everything was tasty. The Applewood Smoked bacon was so good. We didn’t wait for seating and the food came out hot and fresh. The coffe cup was never empty, huge plus for service at breakfast. Well return again and will even try eating at different meal time even though some of the reviews are not that great.

The food wasn’t half bad but the service was bad and kept getting worse and worse. By the time our group got they’re good, they were in a bad mood. Given we came at a weird time when they stopped serving food on the first floor so they moved us upstairs. Our group sat there(with staff standing around talking, behind the bar) and no know came to ask if we wanted a drink or order food. I walked up to the female bartender(brown hair) at the bar and kindly asked if someone would be helping us. She said she was still getting things done and would be with us. She was putting salt out etc. that’s more important than getting orders in? Especially when there’s only one group. They forgot one of our orders. Not the greatest experience. But food was decent

Nottinghams was a last minute find as my group’s original plan was to eat at Teddy Bear’s Restaurant for breakfast. We arrived around 10:15AM, but the line was incredibly long and we were on a bit of a time crunch so we decided to walk around the village in search of a place with no wait time. After passing several places that did not open until 11:00AM, we stumbled upon Nottingham’s with a nice big sign that read«Open for Breakfast». Score! I had eaten dinner here a few times in the past, but never breakfast so I had no idea what to expect other than a nice dining room. I was pleasantly surprised to find that their breakfast food is just as good as I remember their dinner being. I ordered the waffle combo which includes a healthy sized waffle, eggs and your choice of sausage links, sausage patties or bacon. I do not eat pork so they allowed me to substitute the meat for a side of wheat toast. The waffle was cooked to the perfect golden brown and came out just warm enough to melt the butter and soak up the syrup. I asked for my eggs scrambled and they came out a tad plain as they had no cheese or anything, but a dash of pepper quickly fixed that problem. The toast was just normal wheat toast, but became quite tasty with the blackberry jam. My boyfriend ordered the beef chorizo plate and he was very satisfied. Though he prefers his chorizo just a bit more spicy, he said the other flavors definitely made up for the lack of spice and the salsa on the side was tasty too. The other couple at our table ordered the artichoke heart benedict and the french toast with a side of hash browns. He deemed the artichoke heart benedict as very good with only the slight complaint that there was just a tad too much artichoke as compared to the other ingredients. He did lick his plate clean though, so I assume he was still pleased. She really liked the french toast and in fact, ate her entire plate as well! She also said the hash browns were just right. My only complaint is that the hostess was so incredibly rude. It’s not what she said, it’s what she didn’t say. She hardly greeted us, stormed off to go look for a table, came back to grab the menus and walked back without saying a word. We just assumed we were to follow, but she truly seemed annoyed that we were there to eat… it was very weird.

After finding out that Teddy Bear had a wait and knowing that we were on a time crunch to make our tee time reservations at the golf course, we had to find another spot nearby to grab breakfast. The closest spot was Nottingham’s so we decided to give it a try. The food was great! I ordered the french toast with a side of hash browns. I almost ordered the french toast combo, which would have included two eggs and a side of meat. However, I don’t eat pork and the options were bacon or sausage. I thought about asking to sub the hash browns for the meat(the potatoes are cheaper as a side on the menu than the meat anyway) but I wish breakfast places would add a non-meat option to the menu so I wouldn’t feel like I’m being difficult. The french toast was delicious with just the perfect amount of sweetness. I’m not a syrup fan so I topped my french toast with butter and jam instead. The strawberry and blackberry jams went perfectly with the french toast and I surprised myself by eating the entire four pieces. Plus, I ate my hash browns, which were quite tasty, too. My boyfriend ordered the artichoke heart benedict and enjoyed it too. His only slight complaint is that there were a few too many artichokes to go with the other toppings. He did clean his plate though. Our friends ordered the waffle combo and chorizo and voiced no complaints so I’m guessing these dishes were good too. She’s a Unilocaler too though so I’ll let her go into specifics on those. :) My only issue with the restaurants is the service, which we found to be lacking in a couple of ways. First, the hostess wasn’t very friendly and even seemed a bit annoyed that she had to seat us. Second, the service was slow. It took awhile to get our food and we were afraid that we were going to miss our tee time. Check in on Unilocal and save 10% off your bill!

Came back here for brunch on a Saturday, our family chose to sit in the patio area cause the weather was so warm and lovely! Had a spicy Bloody Mary to sip on while looking through the menu. It’s traditional American food menu, selections were decent. There was only one waitress waiting tables, the service was extremely slow. But she was very friendly and attentive enough. Both hubby and I had eggs benedict, mine was with crab cakes, very flavorful, the poached eggs were perfect. Hubby’s was with filet, he liked it alright. Mom had tuna melt with fries, I had a bite, it was so delicious, loved the flavors. Dad had shimp and avacado omelet, it was tasty for him. Brunch food was really good, we enjoyed it so much. A very nice spot for brunch or lunch in the patio, very pleasant indeed!

I’m between 3&4 stars, you will definitely not regret going here, it’s just not very fast. If my group had been all adults, the speed would have been less of a factor. The service was a slow, probably not to the fault of Meghan, who was solid as a server. The pacing between appetizers and the entrée was long, as was the time to get drinks. As a large group we got the automatic 18% gratuity — FYI. My wife started with the Hot Tub drink($ 8), which she liked, and I had a Ketel One Vodka martini($ 9.5), which was not dirty enough, and I asked for super dirty! My wife was not thrilled with how they cooked her filet, too well done. But, I did enjoy the Black Salmon — very good. My kids both got the mostaccioli and they liked it. The food was a solid ‘B.‘ The night was really made by the entertainment of Magic J who served up some cool magic tricks, with the highlight being the levitating table, and the invisible card deck, the kids thoroughly enjoyed this 5+ minute show which was put on at our table. We were here during the college bowl season, the only televisions are upstairs — FYI.
