Mac Cosmetics

I got my makeup done by Gabby for my birthday. I was going for a glamorous look and brought several photos of past mac sessions to show the desired effect.
She applied the eyeshadow twice on my face and each time it wasn’t what I wanted. It was more demure and kind of basic. After the second attempt, I asked if maybe someone else could finish my face. I apologized profusely because I didn’t want her to take it personally (but it was my money).
She got really upset and lost all her professionalism lol. Gabby decided to be extremely petty and told me (in a sulking tone) that I would have to wait a half hour for someone else to finish my face. I realized after waiting half an hour that she never asked anyone to finish me!
At this point, her co-​worker finished my face. I think she and Gabby are a petty duo because she gave me so much attitude. She did a decent job but was rude the entire time (like blatantly refusing to do any contouring on my face).
In the end, it wasn’t the look I was going for but it worked. For the service, or lack thereof, I am never venturing here again. The pettiness was draining.

I love makeup!!! It enhances your already beautiful features. If it doesn’t and it makes you look like Bozo the Clown, you’re probably doing something wrong… IJS. My personal favorite makeup company is MAC. I’m not saying I exclusively use their products, but 90% of my makeup comes from MAC. I’ve been riding with them since I was a teen. I remember getting the perfect shade of lipstick to match my handmade prom gown my aunt made me. I’ve been in love every since!
Lipsticks, blushes, eye shadows, mascara, you name it, MAC has it. It’s a girlie girl’s HEAVEN! Geared toward ladies of color, MAC is pretty popular amongst my family and friends. This particular day, I was attending an event at Nordstrom’s and following the event my fam and I were made up at the MAC counter. I get made up with them several times year. As a matter of fact, I’ve met a few good girlfriends that does my makeup for special occasions from this very MAC counter. The makeup artists here that I’ve encountered are always super nice and very skillful with what they do.
Having a problem achieving a smokey eye? Ask one of the makeup artist to assist you. Not sure what foundation suits you? Ask one of the makeup artist. They can test your skin and find your perfect color. With so many promotions throughout the year for winter, spring etc., a girl could really go broke here. Pace yourself, get what you need and make it fun. What can I say? Makeup makes me HAPPY!!!

I wasn’t too impressed w/​this location. First if all, the actual space itself was pretty small and not very noticeable. In addition, the employees weren’t too knowledgeable about the products as I would expect. I went in and asked for (what I thought was) a pretty common brush and they didn’t know which one it was. On the other hand the staff was friendly and I was in-​and-​out.
