Assateague Island Oasis

We have been going to Assateague Island Oasis for 3 years now when we visit OC, MD. It is never really busy which made us uneasy on our first visit but the food is very good. I’d say we have eaten there 8 times now and never had a bad meal. I have the chicken cheese steak each time. I order it with mushroom, green pepper and fried onions. They charge extra for the mushrooms and peppers but it’s still less expensive than the sandwiches you buy on the boardwalk and it is so much better. My husband gets the crab cake and my son likes the crab balls. It seems like a local hang out type of bar but that’s fine with me. It’s nice to get away from the overcrowded places in OC and it doesn’t take long to get there from the inlet area of Ocean City.

Pit Beef was excellent. cheesesteak really good. Fries good too!!! Overall an awesome food experience. The place needs a makeover though. We weren’t sure if it was a closed business or not from the outside and there was old furniture falling apart in the parking lot.

Our waitress Cheryl was friendly and charming. The crab cake was phenomenal with no filler and the pit beef was delicious. With quick service, friendly locals and a dessert to die for: creamcicle cheesecake… We will definitely make this a regular spot.

Came here with friends after the beach; there weren’t very many people except for a few seated at the bar. Our server was very nice even though service itself was a bit spotty (food came out at very different times, some of us were finished eating before others were served)

What an oasis! Everything is homemade, the chefs are the owners! Definitely sit outside among the hummingbird feeders! The quality of the food far outshines the décor! Try it! You won’t be sorry!

came here with my family for lunch after spending the morning at the beach. the service was friendly and the food was excellent.

Good deal and the pub fare is very fresh and tasty. A nice place to stop after a day at the beach.
