Love th is place a lot. I always get the breakfast items. For example, eggs with the home fries and scrapple… yummy! One of my favorite places to eat here.

This place was a nice little diner that offers all day breakfasts and what looks like some amazing lunch options. I opted for the ½ order half pipe and still couldn’t even come close to finishing. The burger and fries were delicious. I will have to come back to try the Bologna fries. Great service.

I have had several breakfasts here and everyone has been great. Drench can toast, omelets or their special The Pipeliner! All are great. If you get the pipeline be prepared to eat and not do much for the rest of the day.

My first stop at this iconic diner that is situated perfectly for those traveling to Assateague. Good breakfast but even better was the very friendly service by staff. As the cashier told me ‘you don’t find them like this anymore’.

We ate breakfast here for four days in a row while vacationing in OC. Some thoughts: 1) I didn’t like the older waitress with the really deep sun tan. She wasn’t very friendly, and didn’t ask essential questions like, «What type of bread would you like for the egg sandwich?» She would just give you her choice. 2) I didn’t like the home fries as much as the french fries. 3) The«Pipeline» combination dish is great, but massive. The full serving can easily be shared with your better half. 4) My favorite was the Chicken Fried Steak With Eggs. I would almost kill someone in order to get a serving of that again. Unbelievable. 5) The egg sandwich is not that great. I don’t believe they are open for dinner. And during the off season, they may close even earlier than stated hours if things are slow. They don’t take AMEX. It is not cheap or I don’t eat out enough. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

My wife and I always come here when we’re at Assateague. The food is good and plentiful for the price and the service is good; can’t ask for much more than that! If you like potatoes, TRYTHEPIPELINE, though I recommend the half pipeline(still huge, even shared) and it’s extra good with sausage gravy. Their regular hash browns are very solid too. I’ve come to enjoy their chicken and waffles — not the best I’ve had, but good enough that I’d get ‘em again. I LOVE their gyro omelet; tzatziki sauce inside an omelet? Brilliant! All other omelettes are good, but that’s my favorite. This is also where my wife introduced me to scrapple, which is pretty good if you’re up to it. We always leave with leftovers and without breaking the bank. This is a great place to stop by!

Great breakfast with the family on way out of ocean city. Hostess was super friendly and was able to accommodate family of 11 quickly and even took a quick to go order for a few of us that wanted to hit the road. Home fries were yummy and sandwiches came out quick and hot.

Small, packed diner with awesome breakfast foods. Worth it if you have a little bit of extra time to wait for and enjoy the food, which is delicious! Good prices, friendly staff. Went there twice and both experiences were great.

All I can say is that the breakfast was excellent. I dined with a party of 11. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Make sure you try the pipeline if you are daring. Only negative, the restaurant was small, but service relatively fast. Wait staff was very friendly.

This place never disappoints! Decatur Diner is definitely a go-to place for us when we come down to the beach year round. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. If you can handle it, the Half Pipeline is a must-do at least once! I usually end up splitting it with someone and it’s plenty of food. An old diner atmosphere with friendly waitstaff and amazing food, nothing gets better. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!

This is my everyday breakfast spot when I’m down the ocean. The food is absolutely amazing & the prices are awesome. It may be a small place, but it packs a big flavor!

This is a small stand alone diner off the beaten path with above average fresh food for cheaper than OC prices. Service and seating were fast despite a small line. The omelet and home fries stood out.

Great food and great service! Def worth the trek across the bridge! I got the half pipeline with creamed chipped beef on top and it was so good but still so big! Took half of it home. Quite a little gem!!!

We were looking for a good meal on our way out of town. I’m glad we found this place! The wait wasn’t long, the service great, and the food delicious. Definitely get the homefries.

Step back into the 1950’s world of back and white tiled floors and red Formica table tops. Small yet quaint diner that also offers catering. Claudia, our attentive and energetic service candidly disclosed the crabmeat used in some of the dishes,(crab pretzel, burger topping, omelet) was pasteurized, canned. Passing on that I had the patty melt(burger cooked rare to order) lightly toasted, Swiss cheese and light on onions as per my request. Fries, for an up-charge instead of homemade chips. Both were fresh and piping hot. I’m not a coffee drinker but those that are in my party noted it to be particularly good.(Sara Lee brand… who knew?)Pancakes, omelet(French style, NOT browned to rubber band oblivion) and home fries were all very good. Seating is limited. My guess about 40ish. We did have a ten minute wait at our 11:30 Sunday morning visit. Well worth it and will be going back. Now where is my poodle skirt…

Wanting to avoid the O.C. strip restaurants during the weekend morning rush, we headed across the bay and over here for some breakfast instead. Located only a couple of miles south of the Tanger Outlets, the Decatur Diner is a relatively small restaurant. However, what it lacks in size is made up for with great food and quality service. We only waited about 10 – 15 min for one of the limited number of tables among the 50s-style, diner décor. Aside from the booths/tables, they also have a small counter area which seats about 7 – 8 people as well. Among the number of breakfast options, I singled out the French toast, scrambled eggs and perfectly done bacon combination with a cup of coffee, all of which were excellent. Plus, our waitress was one of the nicest and friendliest servers I’ve ever experienced! Summing up the experience was an affordable bill, which made the start of the trip home a pleasant one on top of a satisfied, full stomach.

Great breakfast offerings and even better service. It’s a small place so you may have to wait when it’s busy but it’s worth the wait.

Nice little find for breakfast, just about a mile off of Rt. 50, down from the Tanger Outlets. I don’t understand the negative reviews. It’s a diner, folks. Yes, its small with limited seating. Yes, the floors have seen better days. You want posh? Go for brunch at the Hilton. Those of us who go to diners know what we want. Do they charge for sharing? Yes, but guess what? They clearly state that on the menu! The breakfasts were well prepared, tasty and were reasonably portioned. The coffee WASSHOCKINGLYGOOD! Sorry for the melodramatic all caps but, holy cow, what they’re pouring will standup to any high priced coffee shop. That is not an overstatement… they even have bags of coffee for sale, its that popular! Good, homestyle meals that are well prepared with friendly service. What more do you really need?

Their country fried steak is the best! Their waffles are yummy too. One thing that kind of irked me was the fact that we were waiting outside in the car(had our windows open and car door open so we could hear if they call out our name or not) literally right in front of the door since there were no seats inside or outside — once they called our party name I got out of the car quickly and went inside and they had seated someone already. I was literally seconds from the front desk, really? You can’t wait like 3 seconds? We ended up waiting another 10 – 15 to get seated. Awesome!
