I ordered the Ahi tuna salad, the tuna was cold and very thickly cut. The diced tomatoes and onions were in the salad, on my son’s bruschetta and his steak, definitely not good in the steak and i didn’t like it in my salad. Will never visit this place again, sooo disappointing.

This place is fantastic! From the outside I thought it was a holr in the wall place and expected food service quality. Wow was I surprised! We just went in for a mid afternoon snack and drinks after golf. I ordered a grilled shrimp caesar salad, my husband ordered soup of the day, which was a potato bacon shrimp chowder. Both were incredibly fresh and chocked full of fresh shrimp. The service was super friendly. My only complaint was the flies were plentiful, but i was able to keep them away. It is right next to the fishing boat docks, so i guess it is unavoidable.

Inattentive waitress took forever to place/bring order. She didn’t check on us but once or twice. Once we were finished, she brought the check and then vanished. Took check to the bar to pay and they had to put out an APB to find our waitress to process the bill. Food wasn’t all what the local advertisement hyped it up to be. Also unimpressed with their«Orange Crush» signature drinks(tasted like watered down OJ with cheap vodka). This eatery will not be on our agenda during our next visit to OC.

Food was decent. Service was fair. Tons of flys around our table, which was pretty irritating. Live music was uninspired. Had the calamari for appetizer(asiago cheese? On calamari?), imperial scallops and crab cake sandwich for dinner. Collard greens and baked potato for sides. Crab cake was small when compared to the bun it arrived on. A nice spot for a crowd, but nothing to speak of for a couple looking for a nice night out.

Our waiter was the only thing that saved this dinner. He was attentive, charming and funny. I have nothing good to say about the food. Mussels were half uncooked, broth that tasted like dirty dishwater and baguette slices you could break your teeth on since you wouldn’t want to dip them into the dishwater. Steak was over cooked, not seasoned at all. Crab cake was dry and the crabmeat tasted rancid. I have never wanted to dispute charges for a meal more than I did for this meal. Disgusting!!!

First: we walked in, looked at the menu, and immediately saw«Rule 1: We are not politically correct!» –That’s not really the thing you want to see when you’re taking your(transgender) girlfriend out for dinner(as another woman). Yikes. She was uncomfortable the entire dinner, bordering on feeling unsafe, especially since she felt like the people at the table over were staring at us. :( The calamari was good, but it came with more parmesan(yay!) and peppers(why??) than actual calamari. The breading was good, but it got soggy because of the peppers heaped on top; not a good look. My girlfriend’s crab cake was pretty bad — a dry crab cake? Noooo thanks. I don’t suspect getting it fried instead of broiled would have helped, either. On the plus side, the service was quick and the drinks were great. My burger(the one with the crab dip on it) was fantastic, although it came with a pretty lame amount of fries. The view was nice, even on a cloudy day in May. I wouldn’t come back here, though; there are too many good places in OC to waste my time.

Called ahead to see if I needed to make a reservation if they were busy. They told me they don’t accept reservations, however they had a few tables open. The parking is awful, if possible back into your spot so you can get out easier. Upon walking in, your greeted by the«bouncer» who asked if we were drinking. Showed ids got a wrist band. At this point you can go to the bar or around the corner to host desk and get a table. We were immediately seated. We ordered 2 drinks(light crush pineapple coconut(made with club soda) –was eh, not sweet enough for me. And the crush passion fruit(made with sprite) which was very good. For appetizers we got the coconut shrimp $ 9(only recieve 5 but still amazing, including the sauce) and the nachos -$ 11(loaded with good toppings, so much so that we couldn’t find many unbroken chips to scoop with). Dinner I had the crab legs -$ 26(very good, the butter it was served with in plastic container got cold and solid quick), Cole slaw(thick and chunky) and a side salad(was given two ¼ of the tomato slices whole on it). The other person had the Mahi soft tacos — didn’t have hard,(only suggestion he gave was he forgot to get the Mahi with jerk seasoning. The portions were good, atmosphere was bar like, with a dj and lots of people enjoying themselves.

Tuesday night and not a lot of customers. Tacos are the special but sorry I think tacos are over done, this is a fad that needs to go. I ordered the broiled seafood platter. The flounder and scallops were VERY good. Scallops were sweet and the flounder just right. The crab cake was ok(about what I expected), I am a little bit of a crab cake snob. The shrimp was a little over cooked. It’s December so I can’t say much about the view, I am told it’s on the water but dark now. I ate at the bar, service was good.

I’m not sure if we caught this place on a bad night, or if other Unilocalers really have low expectations for Ocean City eateries. This place was not good. I wouldn’t go here again. If I’m in Maryland, I do not expect to eat a bad crabcake… ever. The crabcakes here were really full of filler and breading. There was virtually no seasoning on them either. I only had a small piece of the broiled one that my friends ordered as well as the fried one. Horrible. The calamari we ordered was just okay and the crab dip had way too much cream cheese and not enough seasoning. My entrée was the stuffed shrimp. They were pretty good, but the baked potato served as the side dish was old and lukewarm. I had to douse it in butter and the leftoever crab dip to make it edible, and even then I could only eat half of it. The cole slaw that came with entrée as well was tasty, however. Certain parts of the snow crab legs were full of salt, not yummy Old Bay salt… in fact there was no Old Bay at all, just plain old iodized salt. :\ My friend ordered a «crush» and it was pretty good, but I can’t say that I would go there specifically for them. What made matters worse for us, is that the waitress seemed a bit perturbed that we were unhappy with our meal and wasn’t immediately apologetic or willing to remedy the situation. Not a great experience at all.

When we were in Ocean City we heard from one of the locals that they mainly eat off of the main strip. So over the bridge we went to this hopping harbor side spot. Our party of 6 stopped in around 7:30 on a Thursday and this place was PACKED as live music was just about setting up. We were told it would be about 45 minutes for a table. So we decide to get a drink and hang out on the dock to watch the sunset. If there is one thing I learned about OC is that every place claims to have«the best» or «the home of» some thing or other. Everywhere there were signs for Orange Crushes and that it was originated here. I don’t know and I don’t care — what I do know is that they make them absolutely awesome here. What’s more, they make a RUBYREDGRAPEFRUIT crush that is far superior to the Orange original. After pouring the triple sec and vodka they freshly squeeze the juice of whichever citrus you order — they top it with lemon-lime soda(a splash of grenadine if you ordered the Ruby Red) and wedge of the citrus you ordered. Absolutely the best crushes anywhere in OC — perhaps they did originate them? They perfected them that’s for sure.(for my own personal tastes I would ask for half lemon lime soda and soda water to cut the sweetness). After enjoying a great view of the sunset our party is called and we are brought to a round table just on the other side of the bar. The service absolutely SUCKED here — truly the worst service we had anywhere in OC unfortunately. We ordered 3 apps(crab dip, calamari, and clams casino) which we waited and waited for until we got our mains. Wha?! What happened to those apps? «oh, they didn’t send those out?» — the waitress questioned as she is putting on the mains down. NO! she told us she would bring out the apps and wouldn’t charge us for them either. A few moments after she packed the little remaining space on our table with our apps — it made things quite uncomfortable. But with all the nonsense and screwing up our orders I have to say this some of the best food we all had in OC — perhaps it was helped by those crushes. After making a mess of our table we basically had to clear our own plates — we were AGGRESSIVELYIGNORED by pretty much the entire staff. We were right next to the cleaning station behind the bar and the bussers would look 50 feet pass our table as they just stood there. This is one of the rare occasions where I overlooked the horrible service because the food and drink were so good — it had to be the crushes they will get you every time!

I really enjoyed the food here a lot! We came here for happy hour and got the orange crush $ 5. It is a very refreshing summer drink but not too strong. They also had some beer specials which some of us took advantage of. We got the $ 5 shrimp and it was DELISH with the old bay seasoning on it! I could eat a boat load full. I had some of my friends mussels and they were prob some of the best mussels I’ve ever eaten. We split the white pie as an app– very flavorful, not too crabby, but that’s ok, b/c there was so many other flavors to it. For dinner, I got the scallop salad and it was probably the best scallops I’ve ever eaten. They were so tender and the blue cheese on it was a perfect touch. We did sit outside and it was sunny where we sat so It did get really hot out there but there was shady areas where I do suggest that you sit. Really good food here!

Now I am not a seafood eater but this place does now how to get one like me to eat more seafood. Happy hour has $ 5.99 shrimp bucket, mussels and wings I believe. They have this white pizza with cramp on top… DELISH!!! I got the flounder sandwich fried and it was so light and not fishy at all!!! I loved it. Another friend who does not eat seafood at all got the steak and said for a seafood place they sure know how to cook steak! He even tried a small piece of my flounder and said he liked it. Someone else got the mussels and they had no fishy or seafoody taste to them whatsoever. I was afraid they would be chewy as well but they were not!!! This place is also home of the Original Orange Crush which during happy hour is like $ 5.50. I wasn’t a fan of the drink. It is refreshing but I wouldn’t get it again. We sat out in the deck but our table was right in the direct sunlight. I was sweating the whole time so that was the only downfall. I kept getting up a few times and walked inside to the air.

You know it has been a while since I have been back to the east coast, living on the west coast now seafood is just not as popular out here for whatever reason. There are tons of good places in LA to eat seafood but it just isn’t the same. So when I went back east for a wedding and we went here for lunch one day I was taken away to an amazing place where seafood is meant to be eaten with fervor. You are supposed to get messy and eat with your hands and it is either fried or grilled to perfection. I am not disappointed at all with my stop here, we went with a huge group of people and they were very accommodating. I ordered the Fish and Chips and it was just perfect, not too thick of a cut of fish, nice and crispy and not oily at all. it came with a plate of delicious fries as well. The tartar sauce was the star though OMG, it was so freaking good I wanted to just get a straw and drink it, I would even drink it from a garden hose of such a thing existed. We also got the scallops and I think that they were, in all honesty, the best scallops I have ever had, tender, juicy, grilled to perfection and they just tasted so good. I had so much food envy because everything that everyone ordered looked amazing! There were salads with ahi tuna, salads with scallops, sandwiches with soft shell crab, fresh green ingredients, loads of butter just a smörgåsbord of amazingness. Next time I am back in OCMD I will definitely be going here. The atmosphere was more of your typical harbor bar, a lot of outdoor seating, old brown wood, lots of open space, plastic chairs etc… but it is hard to care about that when everything is just so good.

Their pizza with the crab on top was amazing!!! You can really taste the garlic and crab chunks. Cooked to perfection too. The draft beer was cold and the waitress was nice. My friend got the light pineapple coconut Crush and it was delicious and refreshing. I’d recommend this place!

Food Yum. I had the stuffed shrimp which was stuffed with crab imperial. It was fresh and the seasoning and sauce did not interfere with the natural taste of the crab. The waiter rattled off around 7 sides they had to pick from. he said pick one, some or all. I thought he was joking. I said all… and he brought all out. Lmao. The sides were just ok. View Right on the water… at the end of the board walk. Beautiful view.

My boyfriend, friends, and I came to Harborside Bar & Grill for dinner on our 2nd day in Ocean City, Maryland. It was about an hour and a half and boy was the restaurant crowded especially on a Saturday night. However, the wait was worth it because the food was scrumptious! The restaurant is pretty big and spacious. Servers are pretty friendly and have good menu knowledge. We ordered the following — Seafood bisque — I like that there was a variety of seafood in a traditional creamy tomato bisque. It was probably one of the heartiest and delicious soups I’ve had so far. It was rich and creamy. Garlic Mussels — I was excited to try this. It was steamed and chopped with garlic, white wine and served with butter. The garlic mussels were tasty and full of white wine and garlic goodness! The only disappointment is that these mussels weren’t that big. Crab Cakes with Sweet Potato Fries & Cole Slaw — These were the first crab cakes I had in Maryland and they were absolutely delightful. They were golden brown and moist inside. They were absolutely delicious! The sweet potato fries were yum and the cole slaw tasted a lot more crunchy and fresh. We had a lot more food, but didn’t quite get to take a photo of the food. Despite the long wait, we actually enjoyed the food here and it was extremely hearty and yum! I would definitely come back here if we come back here if we come back to Ocean City again, but hopefully it won’t be a 1.5 hour wait.
