We stopped here on our way to the beach and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. Our waitress was quite attentive and friendly. She is going to school in Belton and learning English. The salsa was medium spice and queso was free as well. They do not offer kids’ meals, but their dinner specials are a smaller option if you’d like to feed them less. Sharing is probably a better choice because they give you lots of food. As soon as we left, my husband called a friend to suggest they stop in here.

Quick service. Delicious food with large portions. They came to our table to check on us periodically which was nice. No complaints will be back again.

Foods okay, but service was scarce. I really like the rice, but beware that if you order the fish tacos. It’s just a plain tortilla and some fish. Nothing else.

This place is the Bomb! Great chips salsa and their carne Asada is fabulous. We have eaten here several times and they are very accommodating if you want to mix and match the ingredients. My hubby loves chili rellenos and they add al pastor meat(carne Asada) it’s delicious and the poblano peppers are huge. Try this place you won’t be disappointed.

This little roadside gem just outside of Temple has become my go-to stop on trips to/from DFW and cities south. You’d be hard pressed to find better Mexican food. Everything is authentic and delicious. Everything. Portions are large, so bring your appetite, but you want spend more than $ 9 per entrée. I’m almost afraid of the word getting out for fear of higher prices and thinner menu, but I can’t keep it a secret anymore. It’s that good. Also helps that there’s a Starbucks and fuel stop right across the street.

We have been here a few times and we have always had great service and the atmosphere and cleanliness is good. Just won’t come back because the food is bland and doesn’t have much seasoning.

My husband and I ate here during a pit stop, were we glad we did. Great food and our waitress was amazing! Very attentive and would refill our drinks as soon as we had taken the last sip. It seems like the hospitality in Texas is better than any other state we’ve been to. I had the tortilla soup with handmade tortillas and my husband had camarones de diablos. Both were amazing! My soup was perfect and I was pleased to find that that they didn’t skimp me on chicken like most places do and it came with sliced Avocado on top. My husband can’t stop saying«oh my god! My food was so bomb!» He was pleased to say the least :) if we come across this place again, we will definitely be stopping to eat here again and if you’re in town, make sure to stop in and give it a go. Definitely recommended!

Let me start by saying you must have the appropriate expectations before dining here. If you wish to have great service, a sparkling clean dining area, and high-quality ingredients, then go somewhere else. However, what this place does offer is friendly service, great food, and rock-bottom prices. I’ve never had fajitas, queso, and a cocktail all for ~$ 15. The girls are friendly and try hard, though it is clear they have not been trained on proper service. The food is fantastic, despite the clearly cheaper ingredients. They also offer free queso, though it must be requested. The cantarita is a must-have if you are looking for a refreshing cocktail. It has reposado, muddled fruit, and finished with Jalisco’s grapefruit soda. I don’t live in Belton, but I do travel here once a month and I’ve come here for lunch every single time. One of my favorite Mexican joints!

A usually good place really let me down tonight. Now, it was Cinco de Mayo, but I bet if I was at Chuy’s or Papasitos the food and service would have been superb. Getting in early, our table of 6 sat with plenty of time for our appetizer of guacamole and chips. It came after our dinner was over. And, it was not tasty at all even after I squirted my own line on it. And the chips… I can make better at home with oil, corn tortillas, and my cast iron skillet. Very sad that the food was less than stellar. Needless to say, we’ll be going elsewhere for a while until we try again.

Good food, but extremely slow service and music too loud. When you have to get up to search for an employee in the back to find a ticket so you can pay on multiple occasions, I won’t be coming back.

Food is great, but the service and cleanliness is something that needs much improvement. Had to ask four times if we could finally get chips and salsa, took forever to finally get silverware after we received our food. However, I would come back because the food is great and always has been every time we come. So it is easyto over look the mmediocre service for the great food.

One of the best Mexican food joints in the area. Trust in the Zachary! He is fat. He is wise. Service is a little slower than I would like but the food is great. On Friday nights they have a balloon artist and sometimes a face painter for the kids and its free. My boys love this place.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. I love the extended dining area/bar as well as the daily drink and lunch specials. BONUS! You can smoke in the bar area after 3pm. Do you love tacos? Order the al carbon on corn and you will love yourself. Service is consistently good and the staff is friendly. If you have a bad experience here, you are at fault and should take some time out of your busy schedule to find out why you are such a miserable person.

I live in Belton and we have several good Taquerias — but this one is my favorite. It isn’t part of a «chain» per se — but the family does run a couple of other restaurants in Bell County, Texas. They have a big menu and I’ve never had anything that wasn’t great.

I love this location but every time I order food to go it takes about three trips to the car because I discover something else is missing. Every time I order food here they forget something. The food is good so I forgive them but it is really irritating that they cant be more mindful. Good food only goes so far.

Excellent food, good pricing too. Service was very good. Atmosphere a little noisy with what sounded like a jukebox in the next room and the soccer game on the tv. Other than that, an enjoyable experience overall.

Yet another in a fast growing regional chain, but don’t judge one by the rest. They have the exact same menu, but the food isn’t prepared the same. The food at this location, as well as the other Belton location across town, is superior to the other locations in central Texas. I had the ground beef chile relleno, which I have had at most of the other places, and it was much better here. The meat was fresh and really zesty with perfect authentic seasoning. Best relleno I’ve had around here. Service was also first rate. Skip the Temple locations and take a short drive to Belton. Either one is a far better choice.
