Me and my family went here for a weekend U of M game. The price was pretty descent for a last minute buy. The conference area that we entered through smelled a little funky we all thought. The employees were super friendly and eager to help us out which is huge! The ends were really soft and the rooms were good. I thought the hotel itself was a little out of date and the hot tub’s jets were broken.

I booked a 4 night stay here on and originally signed up for a 2 queen bedroom with jacuzzi tub. Turns out, there was no 2 queen bed with jacuzzi tub. Only 2 queen bedroom or a king bed with jacuzzi tub. The price difference between the two was astronomical! I contacted booking and they contacted the hotel and it turns out it was a website error by Holiday Inn, so they gave me the King Bed with jacuzzi tub at the 2 queen bed price! Score! This starts off as a 5 star experience. Breakfast was complimentary. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy the first couple of mornings. The third provided gravy but the biscuits took forever to come out. The last morning I enjoyed the biscuits, but the gravy was out and the only person tending all of the breakfast counter never brought any more out. She spent most of her time responding to what people were asking for, as many items ran out. It became clear that they needed another person to help out, so oh well. I lose. — ½ star I put up a do not disturb sign my whole trip. I did not want anyone coming into my room. I kept the room tidy, but after the third day, I wanted clean towels. I found a couple of the Holiday Inn Express ladies in the laundry room, one of whom was moving some towels around to launder. I asked for a clean set of towels. She was nice enough to stop and poke her head out the door, looking all the way down the hallway. She pointed to an unattended cleaning cart at the other end, which was not attended, and told me to ask her, as she was the one responsible for cleaning my room. She then went back about her work. I felt this was a blow off. I would have expected any of the employees to help me, not just pass the buck. I decided to put it off to the next morning. — ½ star. When I woke up on the last morning, my entire body was sore. Back, sides, neck, all sore. The bed was way too firm and offered little comfort. — 1 star. Overall, a very clean location. Staff was mostly friendly. Pool and work out room appeared amazing, but I did not use them. I would only recommend this place if you did not mind sleeping on a stiff bed.

As another reviewer said, for a Holiday Inn Express, 5 stars! The room and common areas were clean and comfortable. It has a pretty large pool for a hotel. I lost my sunglasses in my room, and they found them and mailed them to me, which I really appreciated! I also believe they put out breakfast early, knowing that a bunch of airline passengers were stuck there overnight due to plane mechanical issues and had to go out on super early alternate flights.

This place was clean, smelled good and appeared to be a fairly new establishment. The gym was lacking new equipment, but all the equipment worked. Complimentary breakfast in the morning. The hotel is pretty reasonably priced as well.

First let me point out — I stay at an Express pretty much every Monday-Thursday of every week. I’ve seen some good ones, and I’ve seen some not quite so good. This Express blows them all away. Full fitness center with free weights(full stack of dumbbells and barbells), a Smiths press, modular machines, and cardio equipment. Huge pool with a hot tub The largest dining area/reception area I’ve seen to date. We stayed here last weekend for 4 nights while in town for my nephew’s wedding, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the location is convenient for the airport, Ann Arbor, and just a bit of a hike to downtown. There is no road noise from the freeway inside the hotel. The only snafu was that they billed my Amex for the room despite having used points to book, but a phone call to them got the charges all reversed. I’m not sure what the reviewer below experienced, but that was over a year ago so maybe there was a remodel or something that spruced the place up.

This 2 day stay wasn’t a good one. The first room I was given wasn’t air conditioned. The second room room wasn’t that much better as the air seemed to be phantom controlled. There also seemed to be a issue with my reservations as they were booked on Priceline.(Paid 55 bucks instead of 80 Whooo Hooo) Housekeeping did not clean my room for whatever reason??. Yeah this place sucked royally. I mean I know it’s not the Ritz Carlton but I still would like to return to a clean room with fresh towels! The hotel itself isn’t bad. The rooms and common areas were very clean. It’s the service that needs improving. I will say that Robert was great and tried to make the best of a bad situation in regards to the cleaning of the rooms…
