I used to really like this store, they had a decent to good selection of craft beers, and usually rotated out seasonals and got new stock in a fairly consistent basis. Lately, they’ve slipped.
The prices were always on the higher side, and never properly labeled. There is no store I know of other than this one that charges more than $ 16 for a six pack of Sculpin; they charge $ 20. In fact, somewhat «usual» craft beers that you can find in any store that sells good beer are consistently overpriced.
Then comes the issue with freshness. I purchased a 15 pack of All Day IPA a few weeks ago, and each and every can I opened exploded. After the 2^nd can did it, I checked the date on the box. It was sitting in the store for over 5 months. IPAs have a shelf life of only 3. And they constantly keep stock scattered on the floor, even though the box itself specifically stated that it must remain refrigerated. Bottles are consistently dusty, as well.
Which leads me to why I felt it necessary to write this review. Last night I went back for the first time since the All Day incident, and made sure to check the dates on the few IPAs I was considering buying. Of the three six packs I looked at, all of them were dated no more recent than December. I took a look at the All Day 15 pack. The date was clearly smudged off, a sign that perhaps someone let them know they were selling outdated beer. I grabbed a stout and a six pack of Yuengling IPL to be safe.
And then comes the best part. 2 of the six bottles of the IPL were actually regular Yuengling! So not only do the owners of this store not care about the product they sell, they are dishonest on top of it.

Wide selection of nothing anyone actually drinks as far as wine is concerned. All the basic sub $ 12 wines and overpriced bottles with great marketing. Liquor selection is far more decent

This is a great liquor store in Bayonne. They have a large selection of craft beer and wine. It is priced fairly. I don’t really come here often because it is on 440 and I have to drive. Meh. But the selection warrants a stop if you’re planning a party or want something that ShopRite liquor doesn’t carry.
I am not a hard liquor person so I have no comments on pricing or selection. I glaze over that.

Super friendly staff! They treat their regular customers very well. Always a smile and ask how you are, no matter how busy. The entire staff are professionals and you get the same service from every employee. They are always fully stocked on everything. Very knowledgable on wines. And they carry a lot of oddball items.

This is a good spot that has a large variety of wines, beer and whatever else you like to wet your beak. I even tend to find harder to find items and the staff is pretty knowledgeable of where everything is. I like all the tacky décor of all the liquor signs all over the place.

Great place to in Northern NJ for affordable & newly released spirits! They have an excellent selection of wines in all price ranges & the staff is very helpful as well. It’s also right off of 440 so it is easily accesible.
