Fun hole in the wall bar/pub. I got the bacon cheeseburger(bacon was incredible). Girlfriend got(delicious) French onion soup and a decent chicken quesadilla. Really nice Staten Island sample for someone coming from out of town. Nice place for a quick bite with decent beer selection and vast liquor selection.

Went here recently on a Friday night to pre-game before a show at the St. George theater next door. I really liked this place… cool dive atmosphere with a great internet jukebox. It was crowded but we still got seats at the bar. Ordered pierogis and mozzarella sticks both were good and pretty cheap. Drink prices were cheap. The owner was there and thanked us for coming which was a really cool touch I liked. The bartenders even bought back with the owner there which means Steinys knows how to run a real bar. Walking distance(one block) from ferry Apparently the women’s restroom was gorgeous. The men’s restroom… not so much lol

Came here for a friend’s going away party. She really enjoys Karaōke so I believe that’s one of the main reasons why this establishment was chosen as well as how close it is to the Staten Island ferry. There was an abundant list of songs to choose from. The bar area was narrow but long. For whatever reason I wasn’t in a drinking mood that day. I had one drink which was okay. Service was friendly and attentive to our large party. I’d definitely recommend this place to people who enjoy singing karaōke in a laid back atmosphere.

Stopped by here for quick cheap lunch as the options in the area are quite limited, and was not impressed. The bar food have no flavor and nothing special. The bartender was nice but didn’t really focus on the tables as opposed to her bar guests. The seating is very uncomfortable as they are high stools and everything in the bar looked like it need a make over. Most likely a locals spot but surprised since I saw ads everywhere to try this bar out…

Not impressed at all. The place was pretty packed when we came in and there was only one lady serving the whole restaurant as well as bar tending so the service was slow. Not a very large beer selection for a pub and they only had one local beer. My boyfriend’s wings were under cooked as well as the guy’s sitting next to us. My Reuben was pretty boring and the potato salad had no seasoning. Just a very basic bar experience and they’re cash only so that’s a little inconvenient.

Decided to explore SI and ended up at this bar since it was close to the ferry. As soon as I walked in the crowd was yelling«Alice? Who da $uck is Alice?» Not a great 1st impression. I love dive bars but when I see dudes older than me getting drunk at 2pm on Sat in July, I get worried, but that is just me. The bar itself is your typical dive bar. The GF and I sat a table near the bar and had a couple of Guinness as the bartender played back to back cockrock anthems. Buckcherry, etc. I was surprised there was no Kid Rock or Limp Bizkit but it was headed that way. The crowd was older, 45+ and mostly male. If you are a female alone, I’d think twice about going into this joint. The bartender was friendly, they apparently serve food but we did not eat there. I can see this place being a great place to get s&itfaced. The crowd looked like it was local and for the most part friendly. Next time I am in SI, I will check it out again and see what it is like at normal drinking hrs.

Being true tourist we had to take the ferry from the city. We decided to walk around a while and stumbled on this small pub on our way. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the second we we walked in. Couldn’t have had a better first pub experience! Everyone should leave the ferry station and walk the town and stop by.

I was just looking for a pub on Staten Island to watch the New York Rangers match. The bartender, Phil, made me feel welcome, right away. The Flagship Summertime Ale is excellent! I live in The Bronx, but I will come here for a beer when I am on Staten Island.

Amazing amazing amazing ! Only a short walk from the ferry stop. Check out the specials board for incred options. We got the guinness burger. Drewl worthy! A true American feed. AND the barmaid is a doll. She basically gave us the best recommendation for buffalo wings and where to go on the rest of our Staten Island adventure. P. s. Try the flagship beer. It’s a Staten Island native and absolutely perfect with a burger !

Took the Staten Island ferry to Staten Island to pass by the Statue of Liberty. We decided to stay for lunch. This was a hard one. Not a lot of good options close enough to walk to the ferry station. I came across them because of Unilocal. No regrets. The place is small. It is a bar. They have a small but effective menu. I had a few kids with me and worried about taking them in — but it was excellent. The staff was so friendly. The food was decent. I had the onion soup and it was quite good. They have one table by the window that can seat more than 2 otherwise it’s couples only(or sit at the bar). I like this place. So friendly.

Looking for a pub /swanky bar atmosphere come to this bar. Great for bands and people who want get a quick beer. Not fancy or looking to please. It reminds me of one of those trucker beer stops out in the country… Which can be cool if you’re into that sort of vibe.

First and only bar on Staten Island! I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a dive, and cash only. However it is what I consider cheap. My buddy and I were drinking Coors Light pints and they were $ 3 normal price, $ 2 for happy hour. The bartender was friendly and made conversation with us. She was about 40 I’d say and seemed to be an «islander.» The crowd seemed, um, eclectic. Lots of interesting people, I’ll put it that way, but everyone seemed nice and we chatted a bit with the gentleman seated next to us. We didn’t eat but we did see they have food, which is good to know. Overall a good experience that rests almost completely on our bartender and the cheap beers. Side note: I struggle a bit with reviewing dive bars because really they’re all 1 or 2 stars. However, most of what makes me like a bar is the people, and we had a nice time here. The service was good, the beer was cold and cheap. Four stars and I’d come back if I was in the area.

I had a lot of fun here. I went here on a Sunday and the small crowd was having a lot of fun and seemed to be getting freaky, or maybe I was just getting drunk.

Antoinette opened this bar to serve drinks to her friends. Their food is disgusting, the bar has Manhattan prices with old men singing depressing songs. No motivation to be a great bar in an upcoming neighbourhood. Depressing, expensive, and troll women. Stay away!!!

After taking the Staten Island Ferry across the way from Manhattan, a few friends and I(tourists) decided grab a drink on a Saturday morning«yes morning», so we walked up the hill to what looked like the Main Street. Steiny’s seemed like they were just opening(I could be wrong). Anyway, there were a few people already there, seemed like everybody already knew each other. So five us took a seat at the bar and ordered our beers, the bartender was Michelle, she was nice and kept us entertained the hour we were there. I ended up doing three tequila shots and drinking a couple of beers, so I was in good shape before the clock hit noon:) We ordered a couple of plates of chicken wings to get some food in our system. Steiny’s does not have a fryer, and these chicken wings were awesome!!! So order away! So I give Steiny’s 5 big stars for Michelle! Go check out this nice bar with a great bartender!!!

Bad business. I sat for 20 minutes with girlfriend on a slow night and was ignored the whole time. I finally found some courage to request a drink in the politest way possible, just because I thought it would be more awkward to walk out without ordering something after everyone else had already left. I also left a tip only because I felt similar anxiety due to not knowing what type of people would treat customers so poorly and I didn’t want to offended anyone more than I did by simply walking in. It seemed like some locals were having a great time when I first arrived so maybe it was just me. I couldn’t figure out what I did wrong and hopefully I never will since I’m never coming back.
