Still my favorite Bayonne bar but I wanted to leave a new review since I had a better chance to try things on the new menu. No complaints about anything. I am a HUGE fan of the sandwiches here. The new apps are great as well(try the pretzels). Also, you’ll always find friendly waitstaff. A great place to eat!

Great local bar, super bar pies, great apps and good burgers and fries. If your a sports fan and love wings, cheesesteaks, burgers, thin crust pizza and fresh pints this is your place. Super sports bar, great jukebox and relaxed vibe.

All in all it’s a great place. Even on a Friday night. Crowd is friendly never too noisy and atmosphere is always a good vibe. The nachos could definitely be done better in terms of how they’re made in terms of I’m gonna say«mixed». The wings are great. They’re crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside. With the blue cheese and their buffalo sauce it’s an amazing thing of beauty. Everything is priced very fairly as well but with me coming from the other end of jersey city it says a lot for me to drive to the other end of Bayonne to come here.

«Typical Bar Pie»…that is a Vanishing thing of BEAUTY~! No one makes them any more and Since Patsy DiAngelo passed away, Bayonne hasn’t had a bar pie as great as this! If they took everything else off the(really nice) Menu, I wouldn’t mind as long as you can get a good Bayonne Bar Pie. I am a fan of Lees Tavern in Staten Island, but this is another genre. Lees makes amazing«other» pies, but for an authentic thin simple Bar Pie, Starting Point is the place to be~

good atmosphere, good pizza, great music, sports and friendly bartenders. The New York shrimp is also a winner!

Standard sports bar. The food is done pretty well. The pizza is very good and thin. Above average mussels. Don’t expect 5 star cuisine but if you are in the downtown area of Bayonne and want to watch some games on TV and are in the mood for some pub food it is not a bad place to stop.

After reading Celeste’s review, I had to try this pizza from a bar. I was hoping it was going to be a hidden gem after eating Lee’s Tavern in Staten Island. Unfortunately the very thin pizza turned out to be a typical«Bar» Pie. Also served in Big Apple Pizza on Broadway. This pizza was really thin and could been half eaten by my 5 year old son in one sitting. This was a decent tasting«Bar» Pie. The bar is quite impressive. Not dirty and the people seem friendly. I can’t see myself ordering the pizza for myself, but my son sure enjoyed it. I will definitely come back with friends or with the wife for a few drinks and sample the menu. The bar gets a high rating because I felt the bar as a whole was pleasant and the people were friendly.
