2.5 stars Small little sit yourself place with a pretty big bar. I opted for sitting at a table, so I could look after my bags and had room to read. I was greeted by the busser as soon as I sat down and the server came over a few moments later. I ordered the Crabby Mary, which is a Bloody Mary mixed with old bay, rimmed with old bay, and garnished with a crab claw. It was good, but there was a TON of salt. I think the rim was garnished with salt and old bay, which is just overkill. Old bay is salty enough! I also ordered the crab omelet with home fries. Omelet was a little dry. It needed a sauce on it. I put hot sauce on it like any normal person would, but it would do the trick. I’m not a barbarian, so I don’t do eggs and ketchup. Gross. There are too many places to grab food in BWI for me to go back to here. I’ll try somewhere else next time.

I had an hour to blow on a layover at Baltimore so I decided to try some local flavors out and was very happy I did. I sat my solo self at the bar and was greeted with a menu and asked about the local beers(when in Rome). I settled on a Powder Monkey Pale Ale for beer and ordered a crab soup for my light lunch. A fellow weary traveler and I got chatting and it came up that I never had a Crab Cake. She insisted I did and mentions she had crossed over from another terminal just to get her crab cake fix. I was sold. I ordered the crab cake broiled a la carte(per the bartenders suggestion). While I wasn’t especially sold on the crab soup, the flavor of the crab cakes more than made up for the soup. Plus the bartender was very attentive and not once was I worried about missing my boarding spot. A worthwhile option at the Baltimore airport!

2.5, rounding up to 3 because for airport food it doesn’t suck *quite* so hard and isn’t *that* big a ripoff. Been here twice and got the same thing, crab and shrimp salsa and the crab and shrimp piadina. The first time both items were excellent(though the potato chips were kinda off-tasting) and the sandwich was piping hot. There was lots of crab and shrimp in both items and lots of artichoke in the sandwich. The second time the sandwich was barely warm, the seafood was fishy, and they were skimpy with the filling. The first time the person behind the bar who heated up my sandwich was a white woman, but I didn’t take note of her name or appearance. The second time it was Jeff, a dark-haired white man with a full beard. So if he’s there next time I will pass. *Just to be clear, I don’t blame Jeff for the staleness of the shrimp and crab or the stinginess of the sandwich’s filling; I know that’s beyond his control(unless he gets to decide when something is past its sell-by date). I blame him for the poor reheating job. All ya had to do was nuke it, dude. I know you’re a bartender and not a chef, but srsly. Hot Pocket heating isn’t even Bachelor 101, it’s Dorm 101.

Our plane landed at 7:30am and after a very long morning, it felt like lunchtime — we were hungry! I was hesitant to get food at an airport restaurant, thinking I could get a better value at a chain. I ordered the breakfast burrito for $ 6, assuming it’d be rather tiny and just okay. Boy was I wrong! It was very big, hot, and the tortilla was so soft! The seasoned potatoes definitely gave it a kick of flavor. ITWASTHEBESTBREAKFASTBURRITO I’VEEVERHAD and I can’t believe I only paid $ 6 for it in an airport.

Crappy food with crappy service. The only reason for not giving one star is because of the ratio of my ratings and this place is slightly better than a one star. Too slight to really notice. Ordered mini crab cakes and a salad. Cakes are microwave TV dinner crab cakes and the salad… Well… This merits a photo. Doesn’t even come with dressing: D Service was slow but our waitress was nice. They are just understaffed.

We ate here because we were waiting for our connecting flight. The sign on the outside announced they were selling a. pack of crab cakes for an exhorbitant amount of money. It seemed Ridic to me. I have no idea why they would cost that much. It’s a good thing they didn’t sell JUST that. I had a hamburger, and they got my order wrong. I said no mayo/sauce, and my bun was slathered with their sauce. It’s a good thing that I usually take the bread off. The other members of the party i was with didn’t seem to have a problem. Trying to get refills was a joke too. I was drinking Diet coke, and each time he’d refill it, he’d refill it with regular coke. UGH. PAYATTENTIONPLEASE. it wasn’t like they were super busy either.

I enjoyed a crabby Mary in here this morning after arriving at BWI. It was 10.50 for a single and 3 bucks more for a double. It was a delicious Bloody Mary and It included a small crab claw, that was a nice addition to the drink! Also, we ate the crab melt, which was 17 bucks. That seems expensive, I know! But, it’s a good price for an airport because there was sooo much crab on there!

Avoid like the plague. Staff is nasty and arrogant for no reason whatsoever. Food is below average, place smells, really not clean and they charge you .30 for a plastic to go fork. What a joke.

I gave this location 4-stars in the airport world as we have to keep our prospective in tact. I’ve had the crab cakes here before and they were good, pricey, but good: again, airport. This time I wanted something without any grease so thought I’d try an oyster app & flatbread. I ordered the Rasher Roasted Oysters and they were OK, nothing to write home about and I won’t bother with any of the oysters again as you only get«3». The Crab and Shrimp Flatbread on the other had was actually a nice surprise, tasty in fact. It hit the spot that my pallet was asking for. The big thing I need to add was the service. I was taken care of by Lauren and I have to give her kudos. Too many travelers walk up, demand immediate service, smacking their watch as they are the only important person in the entire airport, even though the server is already helping someone else… I can stop there, you all know the idiots I’m talking about. Anyway, Lauren kept her cool and did her best not to let this person get under her skin and took care of the clients she was engaged with. She truly did a tremendous job! Thank you Lauren. Because of Lauren, I rate this restaurant 4-stars. If you happen to be a lowly traveler, hungry, and have time to burn, stop by and see Lauren and the rest of the crew.

EXCELLENT!!! The crab cake was perfect! Mostly crab meat and delicious! Lightly crisp on the outside and so moist on the inside! The French fries were hot and crisp! And the Coke slaw light and delicious! My server was polite and very efficient! Highly recommend!

Great Airport restaurant. Great service, fair price. Crab cakes represent Baltimore quality. FI’ll bar, will come again, whenever I fly thru BWI.

I was a fan of Obrycki’s Downtown Baltimore location. Meanwhile, with that gone this is the only location left and unfortunately I haven’t seen crab(whole crabs like the original location had) on the menu here yet. Meanwhile, for passengers with layovers on Southwest this small, in terminal restaurant, allows for a taste of Maryland without leaving the airport, and it brings much better service(and food) than Phillips Seafood(located also in the airport). This is the rare airport dining option that brings good food(not great food) with solid service, for a fair price(remember you are in the terminal where everything is always more expensive) and also a local flare. For those looking for a bar, there’s a full one here, too. Portions are generous. If this is your first time, try a Maryland favorite with the crab soup(they do add a fair amount of crab in it). This place does a good job at integrating local blue crab into their dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We last ate breakfast here and were blessed with excellent service and a quick turnaround on our meals. The Crab Cakes Benedict is worth ordering(even though it’s $ 19). It comes with a pile of crab! Also, the simple Crab Frittata(basically an omelette) is a dish that one can start with if they’ve never had blue crab before. In short, all their breakfast items hit the spot and cater to those looking to garnish a local experience. (We haven’t eaten lunch or dinner here yet — so it wouldn’t be fair to comment on those entrees — but for breakfast it’s worth a visit.)

The Baltimorean in me cringes every time I think about the fact that airport terminals are the last place Obrycki’s exists, but I’d rather have these locations than nothing at all! The original restaurant used to be one of THE places to go for famous Maryland crabs… Now you need a boarding pass in order to enjoy it. Luckily, I fly Southwest a lot and have had layovers at BWI twice in the last month. Instead of running out to the curb to meet with family as I usually do, I’ve been able to kill time and fulfill my crab cravings all in one! Airport food is expensive regardless. I’d rather spend $ 13 on 3 crab sliders here than $ 9 for a to-go personal pizza or a pre prepared salad from Starbucks. True it’s not the best crabcake I’ve had in my life but it does the trick. The service is much friendlier than at nearby kiosks and while it may take a little longer than a coffee stand, they get you your food pretty quickly here too.

A solid joint to grab a taste of Maryland on your way through Baltimore. Prices are about what you would expect in an airport for crab cakes, etc. Had the lump crab cocktail once, but wasn’t that impressed. The crab cakes are what people come for. Service can often leave a lot to be desired here. Came in well before closing during a late layover one night and was rushed because they wanted to close the kitchen(with a full dining room). They were certainly trying to rush me and the others out as quick as they could. Came back during lunch hours on another layover. Service was poor and nearly non-existent for everyone in my section. So, if you are willing to put up with less than stellar service, you can get a decent airport meal here and have a bit of the local taste.

The Good: Fine dinning(kinda) in the airport! The Bad: na The Rest: Not a bad beer selection; had the Flying Dog Snake Dog IPA and it was great! Ordered the Crab Dip and a cheeseburger(I know but I have been eating seafood from FL to MA for two weeks straight!) Crab dip was good but crackers were just ok(like Ritz).

Keeping in mind I am rating this as an airport restaurant with associated prices, service portions and freshness, this was actually a very good restaurant. Our service was good enough and I was pleased that our food was delivered to us all very fresh, if not together. Food? Fantastic overall — the crab soup is straight authentic Maryland and, like the crab dip, was pretty full of crab compared to what else I have seen throughout Maryland. The Chesapeake wrap was piping hot and served with a good flavor though not distinctively from the area. I was slightly disappointed in the portions — the dip was VERY small for $ 7.25 though the wrap was fairly priced at $ 10.50. Atmosphere? It’s visually appealing, but slightly uncomfortable as it is packed in very very tight. Overall? In town, this place would be roughly 3 stars with potential for 4 with larger portions(or lower prices) and more comfortable seating. In an airport? This is your place for lunch or dinner. Enjoy.

We’ve all been there — flight delay. Yippee! Obrycki’s makes it a bit more tolerable. I splurged and went for the grilled crab cake. It is served with fries and slaw and is $ 20. Yup, pricey for airport food. Know what?!? it was a really good crab cake and I was satisfied for my long flight across the nation. My server was friendly and fast. So while I had time to waste, he treated me like a busy traveler and got me fed and on my way fast. no qualms with this crab cake!

Not the greatest, not the worst. While passing through Baltimore, we chose Obrycki’s so we could get some Maryland crab. Prices were steep(as expected in an airport) and service was so-so. — Crab cakes were small but had decent amount of crab. — The Crabby Mary(bloody mary) was unique. Good garnishes, but not very spicy for a bloody. — The crab soup was good but needed some additional seasoning. — Coleslaw and friends were mediocre.

I agree with most of the reviews that this place is pretty good for airport food. I got here in the morning and ordered a bloody mary which was very large and garnished beyond ordinary which I love! For brunch I ordered the crab fritatta which was a little bland but it’s not their fault I was trying to order light from being on a diet. If this restaurant could improve their service, it would be GREAT. Unfortunately, I had to flag our waiter down a couple of times which I prefer not to do. They weren’t super busy but maybe just didn’t have enough people working.

I’m from Atlanta and the best crab cakes I’ve ever had was 20 years ago at Ray’s On The River. It hasn’t been the same since and no restaurants have been able to live up to Ray’s old standard. To me, the perfect crab cake is lightly seared on both side, packed with seasoned chunky and flawless lumps of crab meat and barely there creamy filling. As a bonus, there should be no hint of crab shards. I had a layover in Baltimore so I had to try Baltimore’s famous chunky crab cakes. I’ve always compared every crab cake to Ray’s 20 years ago. Being confined in an airport, I had to make the most of my choices. I picked Obrycki’s Restaurant and Bar. I cant tell you much about the beer selections but Obrycki’s Famous Crab Cakes are pretty darn close to old Ray’s On the River in Atlanta. I was too excited. I ordered two crab cakes with cole slaw and fries. One was plenty but with two cakes I was stuffed. Obrycki’s crab cakes are deep fried. Cut it open and you find 90% lumpy crab meat and %10 creamy filling. The reason I didn’t give this place five stars was because I could taste a very small amount of crab shards in the cakes. That is a given for most crab cakes as long as there are no shells. It’s still not as perfect as Ray’s but deserves 4.5 stars. I spent $ 32 on this meal and I was satisfied. This place is a total must-try if you are waiting for your connecting flight in Baltimore.
