I make better crab cakes than these folks and I live in San Antonio, far from the famous Chesapeake Bay. Service was slow. People were running around disorganized. Took forever for the food to come out and when it did their ‘famous’ crab cake was a huge disappointment, including being overlooked.

Run away screaming. The gentleman next to me at the bar left after waiting 30 minutes for an order of fried shrimp. The bartenders figured out that he left, then set the plate on the counter behind them. Waited for someone else to order shrimp 15 mins later, then reached back and handed her the plate. I told them that the tonic in their gun is bad but the bartender refused to open a bottle or change the tank. Place should be boarded up.

Excellent waffle fries. The fried shrimp — you call this a shrimp? It’s flattened and has more breading than protein. I think Costco has better frozen prepared battered shrimp. Wake up! Update your supplier. Don’t let accountants run your company. Get plump fat shrimp. Try batter it fresh with beer! Packaged tartar sauces. Needed a lot of lemon to elevate the food. Again… Great waffle fries.

I chose this place after looking at all options in the terminal and was so incredibly disappointed. Thankfully, I only ordered one appetizer first, because I was then afraid to order and/or try anything else. The first drink I ordered was horrible. I did take a chance and order a different drink and it was good. Service was good, too. She was really nice. The hostess was not. Ultimately, I’d rather starve than go back.

Only giving it 1 star because of the service that was okay. I asked what was good but they couldn’t even give a recommendation. The only reason I came here was a guy boasting that this was a great seafood place. Baltimore — if this is a great restaurant, our California 2 star seafood will probably be a 5 star our here. Horrible food! The famous crab cake tasted a day old. Actually the entire meal Tasted like hospital food. And the crab soup was returned. We won’t comment on that. Just don’t order. I should have stuck to chipotle. Reasonable price and would have been satisfied. I have a 2 ½ layover! Baltimore airport– Please bring better restaurant establishment for folks that travel so far and come here for a couple of hours.

Just had food their before catching a morning flight, why? The service was horrible, the food was just nasty. Ordered a veggie omelette missing veggies unless you count what seems to be an entire red onion. I am pretty sure it wasn’t made with real eggs, toast tasted funny and the potato wedge things were just as nasty as the rest of the meal. So glad before tip the cost was almost $ 14.00. No wonder people were only drinking there and if people did eat it was a couple bites and that was it. I will not return here and BWI is my home airport. If I could give a negative star I would. Skip the nasty food, high prices and poor service and eat anywhere but here.

I had 40 minutes before boarding and I love crab so I was happy to see Phillips on my concourse. The hostess was lovely, the waiter came quickly, and I got my Phillips Bloody Mary quickly. I ordered the crab bite appetizer and things went downhill. After 30 minutes I finally asked for it to go. To apologize the waiter said they put in 8 instead of 6. I got on the plane, opened them, and they were WAY overdone, close to burned. What the heck? Next time I’ll go to Obrycki’s.

Probably the worst airport restaurant I’ve been too. Friendly staff is the only way it gets a star. Simple salad ordered that took 35minutes to serve… Signature salad, but I ended up getting a house salad instead. 10 $ for some not so fresh romaine lettuce. I got the chicken added which was a bit dry as a bone for another $ 7. The bar seating on the end is impossible to fit your knees under so don’t bother and it’s as dirty as a liter box. Stay away.

Ok where to start, hummm! Well at 5:15 the place was empty — to be expected. No one to greet you — ok Bartender not attentive– not acceptable Asked for sunny side eggs — told only do scrambled. Which is funny because a few weeks ago I got two sunny with my breakfast. They say that if your hungry enough you’ll eat anything. I guess they were right as I was hungry and looking for a solid breakfast. Oops! I was not expecting what I experienced here. The egg omelette I got was like eating those fake rubber eggs you see in restaurant display windows. No flavor, rubbery and very sad. Even with their sprinkle of old bay did not help the texture or flavor. I wish I could rate this place higher but it looks like Breakfast is not their thing. The bartender/server was too busy setting up the bar I was virtually left to fend for myself and get sweetener myself and salt and pepper. Oh well guess I forgot I was in a self serve, WAIT I wasn’t.

Excellent service, but everything else was abysmal. My fiancé was craving seafood, so we stopped in and ordered the appetizer sampler. For $ 13 we got 5 over fried shrimp, 3 quarter-sized crab cakes, and 3 microwaved egg rolls. Everything tasted like salt, and they didn’t even have the pride to make their own sauces — we got bottled egg roll sauce, and a cocktail sauce that we literally opened at the table. Fiancé also ordered a beer, the Phillips red(their special, apparently developed for a craft brew competition in 2001 — it didn’t win). It was not as described and was overly hoppy. Baltimore should sell this space to Legal Seafood like in Philly. The prices are similar, but the food is significantly better. Not that it could be worse.

Really terrible. This brings shame to the city of Baltimore. Let’s start with the bitter beer brewed by the chain. $ 8 for bitter water. Let’s continue with the appetizer platter that consisted of frozen microwaved egg rolls, frozen fried shrimp, and frozen tiny crab cakes that were mostly filler anyway. They don’t even make their own cocktail and tartar sauce, which is just lazy.

Sat in restaurant Got a seat(self serve) NOBODY waited on me 11 min. Place was ¼ crowded. Incredible. I walked out Servers standing around laughing. Lol I won’t return. What a joke of a restaurant but it always goes back to the servers Lack of attention. They even waited on a couple who sat next To me and came in 5 min after me. Really? Lol Sad place

Bottom Line: I sure wish BWI would fill this large restaurant space with a better establishment. Airport food is dismal. When I am delayed or layed over and hungry, I want to sit down for a relaxing meal that is of decent quality. Aside from Cafeteria 15L at the Sacramento Airport which is kind of like a gastropub, I’ve rarely found good fare at any airport which is such a shame. Admittedly, I find non-airport Phillips to be undesirable so this place is even worse. The food is overprice and not good and service is apathetic. Phillips gives Maryland seafood a bad name but many unsuspecting travlers may never know that Cheseapeake Bay seafood is superior to what is served here.

Crab cakes for breakfast? Yes please. It’s not cheap but the morning servers were excellent. Fluffy scrambled eggs were complimented by a perfectly fried crab cake. A lot better than fast food!

The food is pretty good for airport food but unfortunately I have to give Phillip’s a lower rating because the atmosphere was almost hostile. The hostess was not friendly. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to follow her or not because after asking how many(more like just looking at me with a disgruntled stare so I told her how many in my party) she just walked away. When I caught up with her, she turned around and stopped and I asked if I was supposed to follow her, she didn’t say a word but just pointed to the table… Well okay then. Another waitress was following the manager around through the tables and yelling at him while people were trying to eat. He was trying so hard to ignore her but it was hard for everyone else to. Thank goodness our food was good and our waitress was not rude or I would have had to leave.

Have no idea why this place got ‘meh’ reviews. The food was amazing! Customer service was one of the best, and atmosphere was wonderful. Coming from out of town, it was the best place we went all week. Crab cakes and stuffed flounder were the best I’ve ever had… and I’ll picky :) Nice job!!!

Hope we complete ruin you day, are goal is to ruin your week, please don’t come again. Lets have some cream of water soup. And a $ 29.00 breadcrumbs cake

Ate there yesterday between flights! Ordered the double crab cake dinner! Their«specialty»! The sides were bland and lukewarm! As for the crab cakes, they were 75% or more breadcrumb fillers! Maybe 2 oz or a little more of actual crabmeat! Gave it two stars because the service was good and waiter was pleasant! Save your money and grab a quick sandwich if you are hungry! $ 40 for squat thrust!

If ever I feel the need for prepackaged frozen food dropped in a deep fryer, I will bypass this place and just get a fish filet from McDonald’s. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat before catching my plane and my boyfriend and I couldn’t even finish the sampler platter. The crap cakes(yes crap) were dry and flavorless, the seafood egg rolls were full of processed mush and the breaded shrimp were disgusting. Sad when you have to go to McD to get fed.

So glad that I came here before my flight because the disconnect between the kitchen and front of house is hilarious! Im sitting by the kitchen window and have heard three messups in ten minutes! Half the menu is fried food! Anyway.. .. Im happy with my beer.
