BWI Cell Phone Parking Lot

Close to the terminal, and great people watching.
I once saw a guy here take off his shirt then use it to wipe his Dinali.

Love the cellphone lot. Gives me a chance to wait without having to circle the @$#$% terminal for the #%@% time while I wait to pick someone up.
Only complaint is that I have to circle the entire terminal in order to reach the lot (which in other airports I have been to, there is usually a pull off before the actual airport), but the express lane def made it easier to get there.

Nicely done, BWI! Now I don’t have to circle the terminal terminally. LOL
Not too busy or crowded at 10 pm on a Tuesday night.

So it appears that the waiting lot is being renovated or they just cut off half of the lot for funsies. I have never seen an airport waiting lot so full. I am thankful that parking gods were in my favor. Now I sit in darkness, in my car, with a whole bunch of people who are also sitting in their cars. It’s feels like the beginning of a rumble. This operation used to be along side a paid parking area. The last time I used it (December 2014), I had a hard time following the signage to get to the ‘new’ area which is across the way. However, the new area is much larger which is great news because the older area was really tight!
Nice place to chill while you wait for that phone call or text that says «I’ve arrived!». You’ll have plenty of company there waiting for the same.

As far as airport cell phone lots go, this one is great. It’s super close to the terminal so you don’t have to circle the entire airport to pick someone up, and the lot has ample space. Outside of that, not much else to say. It is just a parking lot, folks. Lol!

I’m not sure which airport created the first Cell Phone Waiting Area, but it’s genius. The cost of parking nowadays and even getting to your parking space can be a journey. So, the Cell Phone waiting areas are perfect for picking up folks. Just park, wait for the text or phone call after they get their luggage, drive over and pick them up. The lot is large enough to accommodate many cars. Because they moved it from a smaller lot, the signs are not quite up to date to get you there. The distance isn’t close, but people shouldn’t have to wait too long when you finally arrive. BWI pick up, like all other airports, is a zoo. Thanks for putting one in this airport.
