Went there tonight and the bartender that is shorter and a brunette was rude as ever and every time she is working and we have been there she is very unfriendly and short unless she knows you and has horrible service. Will never enter this place if she is working again. Can’t stand her and for being a place to where it’s suppose to be fun and have a great time with music and friends, she makes it horrible. And the remark she said after a situation happens made me and my girlfriend extremely pissed and didn’t even finish our drinks that we had just ordered. We left in anger.

Been here for St Patrick’s Day, and had a blast. I’ve had their wings and were extremely salty. Told the waiter about it and just simply said that’s how their wings are.

This is my favorite bar to frequent. All the staff is amazing and they have great live music and bring in some awesome groups. Best place for the nfl season games and welcomes all team fans to come and enjoy their game. The food is delicious and well cooked. Definitely my go to for a drink and to relax. Very spacious and also kid friendly while the kitchen is open which is awesome for a football game so the whole family can come.

I came here for an event last night at 7PM. The staff was friendly and extremely efficient getting all the guests inside, even at the will call line which usually is an issue. We were behind about 100 people and it only took us 5 minutes to get our will call wristbands, and 21+ wristbands. The venue itself is a decent size, although I am from LA so most of their venues are tiny. Bar prices seem average, my boyfriend had Lagunitas all night(24 oz) for $ 7. The sound is really great in their as well! Food also came out extremely fast which is a huge plus. Their Parmesan garlic fries are delicious. Overall, I would definitely come back to this venue again!

This is by far the worst establishment I have been in. I just turned 21 and all my friends are older and we went out for drinks after work. We had already had some drinks on us when we came in looking for 2 of our friends who told us to come by this place(they weren’t even there and the drinks we had were 2 bud lights and fountain drinks from Taco Bell). While we notice our friends aren’t there and are trying to give them a call, the manager or bartender, I am assuming, came up to us and said we couldn’t have any open drinks and we needed to leave. We didn’t even think of them before we came in but we were like«oh okay we will throw the drinks away then, sry about that»(not like we needed them anymore). However she just insisted no we need to leave and even took a drink forcibly away from from my friend who is 28. So we just left. why go somewhere that is so threatening. I guess we could have been like«wait let us show you our IDs» but again why convince someone so hostile and bitchy and then continue to spend your money there. We will never be going here again. We went to firehouse down the street and had a much better time with better service.

I am not sure why this place has horrible reviews! It is a bar that serves bar food and also serves as a venue. It does its job well in my opinion. Drinks are well priced. The food is perfectly fine for bar food. I wouldn’t expect a gourmet meal from here; I am rating them based on what they do. I have seen Murs, Robert DeLong and Rx Bandits here and had a blast all 3 times. I always find parking, never have a hard time getting in, and for a small bar venue the sound is good. I will keep coming back for shows.

The food is usually really good but there is one female bartender that is HORRIBLE! She is rude, bitchy and slow as hell. The Burnette with a large chest that she loves flaunting while only tending to the male customers. She can’t make drinks and gets mad if you bring your drink back because it isn’t right or tastes like crap. I like this bar and usually everyone that works here but she is a reason we will not visit much anymore. We usu have a big crowd that brings money and tips well but to be treated so poorly but her isn’t worth it.

This place is pretty bad. The bartenders have a rude«I hate working here» attitude and make horrible drinks. The bartender had the nerve to correct my husband and mention his«small» tip on our large bill(overpriced drinks and food). Why are they still in business? Idk?! If you want to spend money on drinks; do not spend it here. You have been warned.

I have never liked B Ryders. It is always dead & the prices are outrageous. Now to top it off the female tending bar on my last visit was terrible. She was extremely curt & didn’t add anything to my experience, simply took away from it. Luckily I only interfaced with her once, but each member of our 5 person group had similar interactions with her. I understand people have bad nights or something could be happening in her personal life, but the least you can do for a person is be courteous, especially when they are purchasing $ 7 bud lights from you. To top it off the back door to the smoking area was propped open by one of those chunky chair bar stools. The bartender came back from behind the bar and kicked the chair down so the door to the smoking area would be closed. I’m not talking a gentle kick, she straight up went Jackie Chan on the chair & it almost hit a girl that was sitting just to the left of the door. No apology from the bartender to the girl she almost hit, or to us for her unnecessary force to move the chair. It takes 30 seconds to pick a chair up and move it. I’d hope the bartender representing your bar wouldn’t be so primal in resorting to kicking a chair rather than picking it up and moving it. The piss poor attitude your bartender displayed has solidified the fact that I, and the group I was with, will not be returning.

Pretty bad when you have to teach the bar tender how to make both a Black Russian and a gin & tonic. Both came out awful because of the bad cheap booze they use in house. Band that played dramamrama covers was decent.

Bartender Adrienne is wonderful! 14 televisions including a huge projector screen behind the stage. Eleven different beers on tap. Nice size bar with two stages, a pool table, shuffleboard, and video game. The shuffleboard pucks need replacing, owner said he is working on that. Owner bought a shot for the bar… thank you! Food was very good. I had a Buffalo Chicken Salad and Fish Tacos… will update when food arrives.

Came here with some friends on a Saturday night. The place was dead. They had karaōke, so at least that was entertaining. The drinks were OK. Did not live up to all the hype.

I used to like this place enough to want to plan an event here. Bringing a big crowd to this Grill on a Saturday night would bring great business to a local company. However,… That never happened. After being told to speak with the owner about details of this event I attempted. 2 months of calls & calls &CALLS,… I have yet to speak to the owner of B-Ryder’s. I strongly believe that this part of the business can be handle by a manager if the owner is to busy to return a phone call for business,. after more than 2 months of trying. I’m sadden that I wasn’t fortunate enough to work with B-Ryder’s but I hope they strengthen this part of the business quickly.

My friends and I love it here! Whenever there is a band its pretty fun. I’ve heard the apple martinis are awesome but i have yet to try one. Probably my only complaint is it’s a hit or miss. Just because it’s the weekend doesn’t mean it will be busy so stick to the nights with a band or sports game.

This is hands-down the best place in town for football… Lots of TVs, great food, awesome employees… Plenty a room for everyone. And the owner Brian is a hell of a nice guy… I highly recommend this place for football, lunch, live music and anything in between.

B-Ryders is the place to go for live music. Having seen Members Only(best 80’s dance band EVER!) several times, not to mention Unwritten Law and other big acts, I for sure know a good local live music venue when I hear it. Most times you can reserve a table for groups at these shows. I look forward to getting some hot-LA bands on the ticket here in the future. #JennaSyde and the Watchers #Alpharock #Pottymouth

I’m giving B Ryder’s Bar & Grill a four star rating simply because they provide a venue to showcase local music artists, and those are too few and far between around these here parts! It is obvious that it is set up to primarily be a sports bar, but the two very different identities manage to coexist nicely. I came here recently for the first time to see the Bakersfield band 1916 do a live show. It was a fabulous concert and B Ryder’s was a nice venue to have it in. The stage was plenty large enough to house the entire band and there was plenty of room directly in front of the stage to have a decent sized dance floor. There were plenty of tables in front of the stage to sit at and enjoy the band. It was obvious who was there to see the band as many of them were dressed in kilts and Irish heritage shirts, did I mention the band plays Celtic Rock, but there were a number of people there who looked like they came for the sports. The bar is at the rear of the restaurant and has six television screens suspended over it, all of which were playing sports programs. There were four more screens on the adjacent walls also broadcasting sports programs and that area was full of patrons wearing sports jerseys enjoying a refreshing beverage(or 2 or 3 or 24) while watching. There is also a huge widescreen tv at the front of the restaurant opposite the stage area also broadcasting sports. Every direction you looked were either sports games or inebriated Irishmen dancing their tootsies off. It was quite a sight to behold, I tell you. Members of both groups chose to play nicely for the evening, with one of the sports jersey clad patrons joining the kilted folk on the dance floor for a while(perhaps during the commercials). There was even a billiards table next to the dance floor which was being used quite a bit in the early evening. The beer was good and not horribly expensive. My friend and I ordered the appetizer platter which delivered, exactly as promised, a plate full of deep fried bar food which satisfied our hunger but probably didn’t help our waistlines much. I think it is important to support those venues showcasing and supporting the local Bakersfield music scene.

Amazing place to visit! I drove from Manteca to Bako to see Fear and the nervous system, and this place didn’t disappoint, food was good, drink prices were good. Stage is big and could fit a hundred people(?) Overall had a great night at this place.

We were bored so we found a notice in the Bakersfield Californian for live comedy. Unfortunately the routine was equal parts sexual innuendo and profanity and not that funny. It makes me wonder where one goes for true comedy in Bakersfield.
