It was super crowded, and the place looks kind of not that clean. Service was just so so. Whatever, I still love the icecream though.

5 stars: specifically for the CANDYAPPLES!!! SERVICE: ZERO stars if possible!!! There was this one younger lady that was very RUDE to me, she rushed me through my order & kept telling me to go to the cashier, then she said to the cashier«NOCOUPONS!» Wow, really? I had NO intentions of using coupons at all! THATWASRUDE! I will NOT be back, back, BACK! :snap:snap:

How to tell desert from dessert? There are two«s» in dessert and they stand for sugar and spice! ;) Their 50 cent coffee is what drew me in to this place! Amazing price for such a nice pick me up. Throughout the day the waffle cone smell adds magic to the Catalina as you sight see along the beach. The fudge is a bit decadent but the candied apples are perfect for sharing, some people maybe disappointed with the Dryers ice cream but that’s all they have here on this island. If only a restaurant could turn Catalina Island’s signature«Buffalo Milk» drink into ice cream. :D

This place has so much potential. I loved the smell of waffle cones and ice cream saturating the entire area. Dessert Island has a wide variety of ice cream and desserts. The employees here don’t really care, however. They were gossiping about other customers when we were right in front of them. I think a lot of employees in Catalina should be replaced, including the ones who work here.

Caramel peanut apple was superb, having it sliced up and ready for consumption on the ferry ride back to Long Beach. Oddly enough, the leftovers didn’t turn burn and disgusting after a few hours. The churro lacked the delectable crust. I wonder how long it has been in that warming display case… Dessert Island also sells Dreyers ice cream and fudge.

I can’t find decent coffee on the whole damn island so I just always end up here. They have fraps, expressos, lattes, and regular coffee. They don’t have soy substitute though, which I could use… my drinks are always around $ 5. This place is more of an ice cream store. They have dryers ice cream and also make their own waffle cones. I recommend going to Big Olaf’s Ice Cream down the street though. They also make various fudge, cookies, scones, and chocolate covered apples. The apples range from $ 8 – 11. I never got one, but they look awfully good.

Ice cream that oozes down my hand. Melting ice cream on a hot day Licking the ice cream off before it hits the floor… Crappy service, but an awesome view of Avalon bay. Sitting on the wall outside munching, licking slurping, gulping… My chocolate chip double scoop ice cream cone. Mmmmmm…shoulda got a third scoop… Wipe my sticky hands, wipe my sticky face… Some on my shirt… some on my pants… I feel like a wittle kid again…
