Great ice cream. They also serve Starbucks coffee though we didn’t get any.
My wife and I both got waffle cones. She had salted caramel and peanut butter. I had the peanut butter and cookies n cream.

Needing a fix for Ice Cream/​Frozen Yogurt or Gellato when in Avalon? See these folks! Not sure what you want? Ask for a sample and the friendly server will get you handled. Only draw back is it can get a little cramped in the order line area and you gotta move fast. Check out the Mint Chocolate Chip and Espresso Chocolate.

Excellent service, fair prices, creamy delicious ice cream served in perfect waffle cones. Their sweet desert may have taken ten years off my life but it was well worth it. Absolutely perfect. Especially on a hot, Summer day!

I was expecting a lot more from this ice cream/​gelato store. On the island scoops looked like the best place to go to for a tasty treat on a sunny day at the beach.
The service was average. I sampled several flavors and thought it was very mediocre. The lack luster of flavors really did not leave an impression on me. To be honest, the flavors were bland.
Do not get pumpkin or pistachio. I would suggest going to another dessert store if you can.
The ambiance is very cute but unfortunately does not deliver on taste.

First, don’t get discouraged by the line. It is pretty slow but totally worth it. We were trying to decide between here and another ice cream place on the street but they offer homemade ice cream so we opted for here. They have a pretty extensive menu and lots of gelato as well. I didn’t want too much so I got waffle bowl instead of the cone but they still gave me 3 scoops! I went for the triple chocolate and if you are like me and love chocolate– this one is for you. I did try the salted caramel chip and it was good. One thing I found interesting was that their mint chip is blue and not green — -intererstingggg. Again, long line and they are a little slow but totally worth the wait. They do offer Starbucks coffee as well.

I came here a few weeks ago and got the coconut ice cream. It was so tasty and creamy. It was nice to have a homemade ice cream for only a few bucks. My frien had mint chip ice cream, which was blue. She was also raving about it. It was also nice that it was open late. You can grab some ice cream and then sit on the beach and look at the moon.

The staff needs a lesson in customer service. My child was trying to decide what flavor of ice cream he wanted, he didn’t even take 2 seconds to decide and the guy looked so impatient and annoyed, and we were the only ones in there! They advertise that they serve Starbucks coffee and my mother asked the cashier which brew it was, he just shrugged his shoulders and rudely said he didn’t know and just stood there. Ummmm ok… The ice cream and coffee were good but the staff is super unfriendly.

You can get two different flavored, which is awesome!

Great place to stop for a sweet treat while exploring Catalina Island!
The shop seemed clean and the servers were fast and friendly.
The Baileys Irish cream gelato was delicious. I like the portion sizes. They have a small size that’s just enough to satisfy your gelato craving.

Large variety of homemade ice cream and gelato, right on the main street so it’s very easy to find. You can mix ice cream flavors, but not gelato (out of respect for those with nut allergies in case the scoop picks some up and transfers accidentally to a different flavor).
That large Kahlua espresso was a perfect treat after a weekend on the island. Rich, creamy, and fair-​priced at $ 5. Unexpected with such a great location.
Would I go again if I were in Catalina? Absolutely.
Would I go again if Scoops were actually in LA? Maybe. Only if I happened to pass by.

Good ice cream! Scoops has a decent selection of Gelato and ice cream. They also serve Starbucks — which might be one of the few, if only place, in Catalina that serves Starbucks.
They do sample their Gelato and ice creams. Since their ice creams are home made, I went with that option. I tried a few, but decided on the coffee chip.
There isn’t any seating inside, but outside is the beach and main street. Ice cream was good. I would come back when in Catalina.

Yum! Good ice cream. It’s located in a great spot on the main strip, right across from the water. The staff wasn’t the friendliest, but we enjoyed our ice cream. The gelato unfortunately can’t be put in cones for some reason, so you have to get ice cream if you want it in a cone, or get the gelato in a cup and have them place a hollow cone on top like they did for me.

To start the Gelato is great… but service not so much. We arrived at 7:59pm and there was a guy standing at the door not letting anyone in. We were the only ones (2 of us) outside the door and asked him if he would just let us in (we had been in earlier to sample) turned around without opening the door and just shook his head. Talk about poor hospitality. .don’t go for the service .
Baileys and triple chocolate were delicious.

Will not serve two flavors of gelato in one cone. Why? «Allergies». Just an FYI before you waste your time here when there are other places you could be going nearby.
Pretty sure this is the only place on earth where you can’t get two flavors on one scoop. SO LAME.
