My boyfriend and I each had the steak kebabs — he got the jalapeño mint sauce and I got the orange sesame. It came with two skewers, one full of steak and one with red bell peppers, onions and a chunk of pineapple. I stabbed a piece of steak with my fork and it was so tender it fell apart. It was juicy, well seasoned and cooked just right. The veggies were grilled perfectly and once I was done, I used the bread to soak up all the juice. Amazing. It was just the right amount of food for $ 7.50 although it was so tasty, I think I could have eaten twice that amount. I’ll definitely be going back to this place to try the rest of their menu.

Let me start by saying that Trey, the owner, is VERY nice. He makes everything from scratch in his trailer. You can tell that he is very passionate about his food. He even brought us a steak & mac bites to try on the house. This got Trey an extra star. The food was good, not great. The prices were a bit much. $ 8.50 for a steak & veggie kabob with a slice of bread. Although the steak was cooked well and flavorful, I’m not sure if it was worth $ 8.50. We also tried the chicken curry burger. It was interesting… very sweet, not much curry taste to it. The steak & mac bites were the best. Crispy and juicy! Not sure if I would come back for the food necessarily(mainly bc of the price), but I would come back for the great, friendly service.

Bought a half price Groupon and found ourselves incredibly lucky to stumble across this little gem. Owner was incredibly nice and recommended some great choices. Steak kabob was well seasoned and juicy. Greek chicken slider was fantastic(and hardly a slider. It was huge!) Grabbed our food and enjoyed it at Zilker Park. Great evening. We’ll be heading back soon.

Got a half price coupon from groupon. No one told me it was a trailer with picnic tables. I expected to go to a restaurant. This is only a trailer! The food was not even worth the half price that was paid. My lamb kebab was full of pepper and burned my mouth. The perogi did not taste that good either. The portion was small and had to go elsewhere to complete my meal, so I would not be hungry in an hour. Not a good deal for your money. It will be better to spend it somewhere else.

What can I say? This man knows great food! The rib eye kabobs are to die for and that jalapeño pesto could not be any better! The steak and mac sandwiches are also a dream! Everything is delicious and the quality of the food is impeccable. Please go check out this food truck, its now located in front of the BC smoke shop on Lamar near Barton Springs. DOIT!!!

Trey’s has temporarily moved since they are doing something with the usual location. They’re now right outside B.C. Smokeshop(conveniently?), close to Barton Springs on Lamar. Their special was the curry chicken burger with a mango sort of sauce. My fiancé ordered this and loved it. We had a Groupon so that’s how we heard about these guys. I think they’re running the same deal on now. Anyway, I ordered the steak kabob with jalapeño pesto and it was very good. We also had an appetizer of hummus to start, this was a very generous serving for $ 5, a huge pile of home-made hummus with warm, toasted pita and cucumbers and celery. We chowed down on this before the food arrived. The man making our food was nice, he even brought it to us. We would definitely come back to try their other kabobs and whatnot.

I think the Word Art design really threw me off, but I never thought about trying this place until its last day in the Lamar lot. I’m really glad I did though. We had the steak mac and Greek chicken sliders. Very tasty! The sliders are served between slices of bread potato bread with leafy greens in between, so it’s very firm and doesn’t fall apart on you. The steak mac was fried and crispy, but not overly crispy. Same with the Greek chicken. I really liked how it all held together very well while delivering consistent flavor with every bite. Overall, I really like their sliders and hope I can go back to try different items!

With zero interest in Treyz solely based on outside appearance, I grumbled when the hubs wanted to grab some more morsels after eating at Odd Duck. «OK, whatever…» But then, what does he come back with but a fried steak and macaroni & cheese sandwich. {insert Homer Simpson sound} So yum! I didn’t care for the heavily cornmealed, fried pierogis, but the sandwich has me curious to see what else is on the menu.

My wife and I wanted to stop by and get some trailer food after a nice evening stroll at town lake. We have seen these trailers across from Alamo Drafthouse for some time, and knew that the Odd Duck to Farm trailer was located there. After ordering a couple of items at Odd Duck to Farm(15 – 20 minute wait for the food), I strolled over to Trey’s trailer and checked out what they had going on. I was greeted by a nice kid at the counter listening to Cypress Hill on the radio, which brought back some hazy memories of their concert I attended back in the early 90’s at the Irvine Amphitheater… We started off with a few pierogies, which were different than the seared ones that I am accustomed to, but nonetheless tasty(its what inside of them that matters). I came a few minutes later to order some more food and he even remembered my name.(and I can only assume the man I speak of was Trey — who else would remember a customer’s name for anything beyond 15 seconds?). Then we had the Steak Mac slider — which was kick-ass & very tasty. My wife and I both fought over the steak mac slider. Later, I went up asking if they had a hamburger patty I could buy from them to feed my hungry dogs. they had run out, but super-cool Trey wrapped up some of the fatty parts of his pot-roast that he wouldn’t have served. How cool! My dogs were in heaven, and he was just so cool about the whole thing. Trey is freakishly friendly and helpful. the food is excellent, and we will definitely be back again. Odd Duck to Farm’s food was good as well, but the service from Trey really set the two apart.

Ok, so you got lucky Trey’s… you are set right next to Gourdough’s and Odd Duck, some staple trailers in Austin. You are certainly on the radar, if only due to a geographic blessing. Well, your grub is pretty solid also, despite the long wait. I am sure that you craft everything by hand. The concept here is fairly unique. Offering everything on homemade breads. Homemade breads you say? Yes, I do say. Potato molasses bread and foccacia. I mean, you can see the oddly shaped loaves from outside. The menu is pretty expansive, in terms of «Mediterranean» food, which seems to be what this joint claims. The offerings include pierogis, kabobs, and breads. Also, they have a couple of specials running daily. We ordered a lamb burger, a pierogi, and a slice of bread. Now, at $ 1 a piece, the bread was certainly a big profit margin for Trey’s, but it was delicious. The foccacia bread has a sweetness and denseness that just makes it taste like a well buttered slice of bread on top of a mountain, where everything tastes great. Furthermore, the heartiness of the carbohydrate held up to the thick lamb burger, which also had a strong variety of vegetables – spring mix, tomato, onion. The pierogi was not bad. Especially for $ 1. The pastry dough added a nice butteriness, and the potato, cheese, and prosciutto filling paired well together. It was not mealy, watery, or salty. Just sort of a nice balance, though ordinary. Trey’s provides a great option for those wishing to have something different or wanting to NOT wait in line at Odd Duck or have a sweet diet-buster at Gourdough’s. I would certainly recommend Trey’s to anyone who enjoys some handcrafted offerings for your digestive and metabolic purposes.

Good food, good prices, prompt service. I think all those waiting for Odd Duck are missing a gem in Trey’s. The guy is super nice and the food excellent. I had the Porchetta for dinner. Big size restaurant portion. Good hunk of porrchetta(pork belly) perfectly prepared over a bed of risotto and with sun dried tomato bread. I normally dislike risotto but this was just great. I asked how long it would take, and the guy was spot on too.

It was hard fighting the smells of fried donut from Gordoughs, but I did it, and boy did it pay off! :) Love love love the enthusiasm of the guy taking our order! He was really really excited to take our order. That just made me more excited to try their food! I got the steak and mac croquette slider. Omg yum. Just a chunk of steak and mac ‘n cheese deep fried on a what looks so simple, yet oh so delicious pieces of bread. Oh and it comes with some sort of green too. It’s very minimal and doesn’t take away from the amazingness of everything on there. My friend got the special which was scallops with gnocchi and cabbage. The scallops were huge and soooo flavorful! However, as scallops tend to be, it was not filling at all. The perogi crust was meh, but man, the filling is whoa delicious. I got the proshooter(filling with prosciutto) and my friend got the americanized(no meat).

Prompted by a groupon-esque deal to try this place out. Conveniently located near Zilker Park, this kabob stand offers unique flavors, which I enjoyed. I tried the chicken with orange chili sauce and steak with tomato and jalapeño preserve sauce. Delish! However I found it to be pricey($ 8.50) for a stick of 5 cubes of meat, a stick with mushroom, pineapple and onion and a slice of focaccia bread. The parking lot can be a challenge to get out of.

There is something about that trailer park that just inspires greatness. All 3 of the food trucks located there are just amazing! I was lucky enough to try Trey’s a few weeks ago. My friend and I ordered 3 different sliders and 2 different kabobs. I can’t even get into how amazing everything was. We would take bites of each and then just look at each other like, how is this possibly this good. The most impressive slider was definitely the mac and cheese one. They take mac n cheese and bacon and meat and fry it into a ball and use it as the patty on the burger. It is . I mean, come on, who isn’t totally in love with mac? Definitely give this little trailer a try if you’re passing by on Lamar. They have covered and uncovered seating and you can bring your own drinks/beer!

I did go to Trey’s with the best of intentions, determined to ignore the Charmed + hip hop-inspired logo emblazoned on the truck. But, I was just not impressed! Their selection certainly seemed good, and maybe I’m just terrible with the«make your own» concept, but I was fairly underwhelmed with the final result. I ordered the chicken kabobs with the sesame glaze as per their recommendations. The chicken was just… chicken. And the sesame glaze was just… sesame glaze. The two didn’t come together to give me some amazing combination or even amaze me separately. I felt like I could’ve picked this up at your average Chinese take-out place! However, I will say that their skewered vegetables are GREAT. The mushrooms, bell peppers, onions — all delicious and juicy. And the bread was good! Perhaps the vegetarian choices are preferable? Or maybe another meat? Anyway, I MIGHT be able to give this one another try if I just have three skewers of those vegetables instead… though $ 6 seems like a steep price to pay for a few vegetable slices…

Trey’s is one of the trailers in the S Lamar park anchored by Odd Duck, which I have dubbed the SoLa Trifecta Trailer Park. I went here with the goal of eating from all three trailers. I only made it as far as Odd Duck and Trey’s. By the time I finished these two, my gut was fighting the notion of Gordough’s. This is due largely to the fact that I don’t understand the notion of moderation. Odd Duck was the first stop(review to come). Trey’s was to be the intermediary, with Gordough’s to finish. Trey’s offered a decent variety of Mediterranean treats. We decided on the steak kabob, the pirogi with prosciutto, and a lamb burger special. The kabob had all the right flavors, but the meat itself was a little tough. The Lamb burger was oh so yummy. The slight gamy taste of lamb with fresh veggies and feta cheese. My only complaint was the bread. I’m all about crusty bread, but not when it’s so thick that it takes away from the actual sandwich. Add to that that the crust really tears your mouth apart. The pirogi was interesting and delicious. It looked like a taquito in appearance, but the creamy potatoes and mild flavor of prosciutto was distinct without being overly salty. By far my fave from Trey’s. Trey’s has a long way to go to stand up to Odd Duck and Gordough’s. They made a good choice by finding a spot here, as I noticed many people unwilling to wait for Odd Duck made their way to Treys. With a little tweaking and hard work I think Trey’s will make a good addition to the SoLa Trifecta Trailer Park.

Since we were in the lot for«Odd Duck Farm to Trailer», we decided to give Trey’s a try as well. Kebabs seem to be the main attraction here, and I sampled a shrimp kebab from a fellow diner’s plate; it was good, although it had a strong lemon flavor that was perhaps a bit overpowering. The veggie kabob was quite good, though, with good grilling on the veggies and a nice overall flavor. I also tried one of the«steak mac» sliders; it was interesting, but a bit heavy. Coupled with the«bun»(a foccacia like thing), it was a little too«bready». Bottom line, Odd Duck is a hard act to follow in this space, but if you like kebabs, you might well find something you like here.

This is a great new truck to try out in austin! Don’t be intimidated by the celtic knot and firey emblem branded on the trailer. And don’t be turned off by the completely insufficient label of «mediterranean food». Don’t forget, there’s ALWAYS something special about an austin food truck. They”re not just kabobs. The special ingredient for this trailer is the plethora of delicious sauces that can be added to your meal. Here’s the drill. Pick a meat. Each different meat is marinated in a unique and delicious base. The lamb for example is marinated in soy sauce and the chicken in a white wine sauce. The next step, is to pick your sauce. This is the fun part. I can vouch for the orange chili sesame for the chicken kabob. And the tomato jalapeño preserves with lamb. I have a feeling that no matter what you choose, it’ll be insanely good. The next step is to order one of the other delicious things on the menu just for a little extra. For example, the butternut squash soup has a perfect texture right in between creamy and chunky. I also had my eye on the pierogis and the steak mac. Next time. next time. Anyway, your meal will include the kabob of your choice, a skewer of veggies(bell peppers, onions, and pineapple) which is beautifully browned on the grill, and two slices of the perfect foccacia bread to eat with your meal, wrap your meat in, dip in your butternut squash soup(if you ordered it), soak up your remaining sauce, or eat plain. The great thing about this place is that you could come back over and over and always eat a completely different meal. I am definitely a fan of this crazy new austin trailer!!!

I stopped by Trey’s on South Lamar on a whim this afternoon. It’s located by some old favorites — right in the same parking lot as Odd Duck and Gordough’s. When we first arrived, they were out of propane, but the gentleman working the stand — Trey? — offered us a cup of soup on the house while the propane was replaced, so we stuck around to give the food a try. The butternut squash soup turned out to be piping hot and very light, complete with fresh veggies… carrots, squash and onion, I think. It was delicious, and I was impressed with the customer service. Trey’s Cuisine has only been open for a few weeks, and it shows in the amount of care he put into our service. When the propane came round we ordered kebabs and warmed ourselves at one of the firepits set up amongst the picnic tables. I tried the lamb and chose the recommended tomato jalapeño preserve. The marinated lamb was well done, yet super juicy and tender, and the sauce didn’t disappoint! $ 5.50 gets you a skewer of lamb, a skewer of fruits/veggies(I had bell pepper, mushrooms, and a chunk of pineapple), a piece of toasted bread, and the dipping sauce. Overall I was impressed — the selection of sauces alone makes me want to go back and give the kebabs another whirl. This place is a a great addition to the South Lamar trailer collection!
