Organic Day Spa

Excellent mani/pedi’s, some come with a touch of a massage. I’m not a fan of the cryptic appointment setting, it’s always a yes, and then you come in and wait. Still, they are the best around.

I have decided to update my review based on the last experience I had at Organic Day Spa. I called for a last minute appointment as I live literally next door but was at a doctor’s appointment so didn’t know exactly when I could be in. I gave a window of time, however, the person that answered the phone kept stating the earlier time. I told her no… I don’t know if I could make it by then as I am at the doctor. It will likely be 15 – 20 minutes after. If it doesn’t work, that’s OK… like I said, I live next door and understand that there are other people who make appointments. I said this about 3 times. The MD was 2 minutes down the street so no need to call on my way and I couldn’t very well call while in with the doctor.
When I arrived, I was VERY disappointed that Sadie chastised me loudly in front of other patrons and kept on saying over and over that if I am going to be late, I need to let her know. It was overkill. I got it the first time. I TOLD the person who answered the phone that I didn’t know exactly what time I could get there and completely understood if she could not fit me in. No big deal. Basically, I was just seeing if she had some time at the end of her day. Instead, I felt berated and treated like a little child… scolded and yes… other customers heard and kept looking at me. I felt very uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, in fact, that I did not even return to have my gels taken off.
I still give three stars because up until this point, it had been great. But I felt like a naughty child the whole time I was there, she hurried through my nails and they cracked and lifted as a result and I will not be back. Partly because I am moving but even if I were staying, I do not expect to be treated this way especially in front of other customers. It is disrespectful and rude, especially given the circumstances WHICH I EXPLAINED PRIOR. Hey — it’s not like I’ve never waited before and it’s not like I don’t tip.
Sadie typically does a great job but stay on her good side unless you want to wear a dunce cap and sit in the corner. And whatever you do, don’t just stop in or try to swing by. Evidently easy going is not her style. Just make an appointment and stick to it unless you enjoy feeling like a fool in front of the entire establishment.

I love this nail salon, but beware of MiMi she is so rough! This was my second time to go to her and this time she cut me with the metal foot file, I don’t like how much she cuts away on the side of the big toes, when she pushes back the cuticles it is painful, and not once have I gotten out of there with my toe nail polish not messed up.
Seems clean and nice and the rest of the people seem nice.

By far the best manicure I’ve ever gotten. I had Nina do my nails and I am SO impressed. I even had to write a review and I never do. That great! My go to salon for sure now!

They do a great job but if I male an appointment I should be seen before some lady walks ins. Seems to happen quite often, other than that a great job.

I was going to another place for almost a year and was treated very poorly, I checked out the Organic Day Spa and was surprised how nice everyone has been, they are very nice, clean and I love Sadie she is honest and will tell you if a color will look good or not. I highly recommend this place. I wished I had not wasted my time and money at the nail place in the Galleria

Danny is off the charts phenomenal! I’ve had acrylic nails for 25 years and NEVER loved my nails as much as I do today! Danny is fabulous! My pedicure, done by somebody else was also OFF THE CHARTS wonderful! I’m going back EVERY TIME I’m in town!!! He even made me a mimosa!!!

What a relaxing and rejuvenating experience! The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and offer exceptional service. The atmosphere is soothing, and the nail apart is beautiful!

I wasn’t sure where to go being new to the area and very picky when it comes to nails. I had stiletto nails done for the first time since moving to Austin. I was surprised and impressed that I didn’t have to explain what I wanted, just showed a pic once and they came out exactly as desired. I’ve had two different techs so far and both take great care with perfectly sculpting each nail, something that few salons will do. Great customer service plus you get a mini massage with each service!

I’ve been to ODS twice now and both experiences were good. The first time I went with a friend, we had to share a tech, even though we’d made appointments. So, that slowed things down a bit.
My gel manicure by Sadie (on second visit) was excellent — she’s very attentive to her work (i.e., evenness, no polish on skin, etc.) and the gel lasted for a good two weeks, which is unusual for me. The shop is clean and they always offer water or other beverage.

I wasn’t very impressed with the way I was greeted but it is all good! Sadie has been taking amazing care of me ever since I sat down in her chair. She has done an amazing job with my calluses and my cuticles! The place is clean and definitely up to code! Plastic bag liners in all of the pedi bowls and plenty of sanitation equipment everywhere. I am very impressed and will definitely be back in the future!

Very friendly, the workmanship was good.
My only complaints are the use of scrub blocks used on feet that aren’t new for each client, that’s gross and so 2001. The same for the nail buffing block. Yuck. They cost very little and it’s non hygenic to reuse. Cmon.
I didn’t care for the oil used in the massage, it heats up after a long massage. I’d prefer lotion.
This is not «spa» like in any way at all.
I’m surprised at the salons I’ve visited in the Lakeway area they are like little chop shops.

Kevin does a beautiful job with acrylics, very thin and natural looking! They have great prices, offer cash discount and end treatments with a nice shoulder massage! Easy parking, clean workspaces and friendly staff… and the cherry on top is they play HGTV :)

Danny and Nina always do such a wonderful job! My favorite place to relax. I have learned to call ahead or make an appointment since this is a popular place on the weekend. They are very friendly, thorough, and consistently the best nail salon in the Lakeway area. I have tried several others and none compare in quality.

Really enjoy this place for a mani and pedi. Just be careful if you sit next to the lady who wants to talk on her cell during your whole appointment. Place probably needs a sign for the customers to respect others during their appointment. Would have went relaxing appointment if not for the chatter box

Love the services here .l always have great experience about the pedicure soo relaxing! Im very picky about my shellac and I absolutely love it. I have a lot of compliments on my nails .I’m glad I found this place from Unilocal and 5 star from me.

I’m very impressed with this nail salon. I live in Los Angeles and normally get my nails done every two weeks. I always get acrylics with gel polish. Normally after about 10 days they would start to chip off on the sides or sometimes break, but the nails I got done here are still going strong and it’s been 3 weeks! I’m due for a fill, but I’m surprised how perfect they still look and how strong they are after this long. And I’ve gotten so many compliments from both men and women. I am moving to Austin soon and this will definitely be my go-​to nail salon!

This is my second visit to the salon. I am impressed with their workmanship, attitude and cleanliness of the establishment.
I did not have an issue getting an appointment. and one was only with a hour notice.
Bad experiences and dismal service are my experience at other salons. Organic Day Spa is not one of them.
Danny and Kevin are just 2 members of the staff that I am familiar with… I highly recommend either one of them.

My new place for all things nail! After going to another salon for the past 9+ months I… hesitantly… decided it was time to try a new place after being treated very rudely and given poor service on my most recent visit. It’s REALLY difficult to find someone who can do acrylic overlays correctly. I have super thin nails and polish doesn’t stay on so I’ve been having overlays done for years. So when I find someone I like, I stay with them (visited same salon/​person for over 8 years before moving to Austin).
Organic Day Spa is beautiful! Really serene with pale green walls and plants. It truly feels like a spa, not just a cattle herd ‘em in and out nail salon. And all of the staff could not be more polite or professional!!! Very catering to all of your wants and needs. They offer wine, sodas, water, and Keurig coffee.
After reading some other reviews, it seemed Danny was the guy to try for nails. First visit — yay! Success! Second visit, wow! He’s really great! Doesn’t damage my nails, takes his time, having had any issues with lifting, just the right shape… perfect! And, Danny is super skilled with fun nail art — but if you want über creative funky fun ask for April. She hand-​painted leopard print on a few of nails in just a few minutes. Actually they’re both great! And Kevin is really skilled with nails also.
After my nails were finished, I got a long, very relaxing hand and shoulder message from Danny. Talk about upscale at average girl prices!
Now onto the pedicure. SO many to choose from. The Green Tea is amazing and good prices. Nina was wonderful! Very meticulous. Really cleaned cuticles and removed any dead skin. Nice message. And, the message chairs are nice and new and fully functional. A+!
Overall: Simply the best I’ve been to in Austin — in every way. One of the reasons I liked the salon I used to go to was because they were super fast… well, that came with a price. Lifting nails, cutting cuticles, subpar pedicures, etc. When visiting Organic Day Spa think of it as a «spa day» rather than just another errand on your list of things to do. Trust me… I know that can be exceptionally challenge for some people (including myself), but just sit back, relax, breathe, and let them work their magic for about an hour and a half or two while sipping champagne. It’s worth it!

Best nail salon experience I’ve ever had. Professional, personable, and attention to detail. Danny had gotten me in last minute and started by helping me chose a nail color and one that match one of the manyyy gel colors they had to chose from. Nina had worked on my pedicure while I was offered something to drink. Best pedicure I had from the deep foot massage, hot stones, and color. Danny had started prepping my nails while still in the chair and was very easy to talk to. Plus he kept my glass full :) my gel manicure was flawless and not at all rushed. They even threw in the cheetah design I wanted on both my hands and toes, which April does a great job of. I drove quite the way to the salon, but I couldn’t be happier that I found it. It’s hard now to go anywhere else once you found an establishment that’s relaxing and all about quality! Thank you and I will most definitely be back.
