Decided to try Jack Brown cleaners on 2222 near 620 since the other cleaners in the HEB shopping center only seem adept at stripping all the buttons off and misplacing clothes. When I first walked in I was concerned because the place smells like a billion cigarettes were smoked in there. I thought there was a possibility that my clothes might come back with that smell, but there were plenty of clothes on the racks so I figured it must not be a problem for all those people. I went back to get my 5 shirts(laundered and pressed) a few days later. I took them into my car with the air off and smelled them and they reek of stale cigarette smoke. I went right back inside and talked to the attendant but he said only the owner could resolve this. He told me to call back the next day and speak to Chris. I called the following day and explained what happened to Chris. He said I was the first person who ever brought it up. I guess all of his other customers are smokers too! He said he would not provide a refund or reimburse me for having them recleaned at another facility. He only offered to reclean them at his facility which I pointed out would yield the same result. He never once apologized or even seemed to care that I wasn’t happy with his work. He seemed indignant that anyone would be unsatisfied with his efforts. Needless to say, now I have to find another dry cleaners and spend more time getting the same shirts cleaned at further expense. Avoid this place unless you love smelling like an ashtray and enjoy poor customer service.

In the one time I needed to use their services I have been pleased. I had a pair of shoes(I believe boots) that needed to have some sort of repair. They were very quick and efficient. The service that I was also impressed with was my belt hole additions. I had three belts that were recently purchased off the rack and of course I was an in between size in my high waist? I needed about three more holes added to each belt. The shoe repairman also added holes to each of my boots immediately. There was no waiting for them to be done and there was also no additional charge!

I’ve been using JBCs on 2222 for over 5 years and have never had any issues. It works this way. 1. Drop of dirty clothes 2. Talk sports with the manager Chris, who is a great guy. 3. Pick up clean clothes 4. Talk sports with Chris 5. Pay The one time I had a minor issue Chris resolved it to my satisfaction. And it is convienent to have the breakfast taco trailer next door as well.

I haven’t used a cleaning service for my daily clothes before but I will definitely use Jack Brown Cleaners again. The price was reasonable and the service was good. I dropped my clothes off on Saturday and they were ready earlier than I was told. Thanks!

Just got a shirt back from the Northland location that had a hole burned through from the inside. When I asked the manager to claim responsibility for doing this he denied and said it was there when I brought it in. After the fact, he has documentation on the receipt in his system but not on the one he gave to me initially. His claim is that I was able to burn a hole, from the inside out, through my shirt with a cigarette ember. Although I questioned the plausibility of that statement, he assured me that must have been what happened. I don’t even smoke! On top of that, I asked for medium starch and my sleeves were not even pressed. The starch was there, but no crease. My slacks also had two creases going down each leg on front and back. I have had bad experiences with unpleasant lady at the Jack Brown near campus but thought that was an isolated incident. Apparently not, I will never go back here again.

My experience here was less than great. After giving up on 2 other cleaners in the 620/Anderson Mill area I gave Jack Brown a go. I was initially pleased with my order eventhough the prices are a tad higher than most places. My pleasure was soon turned to disgust when I got ready for a business trip and discovered my beloved khaki’s and standard trade show get up were not in the bag. So disappointing and since my flight was early that morning I had to retrieve them after my trip. The most disappointing part is that the cleaners saves your phone number so I’m not sure why they didn’t call to tell me the pants were back at their locale?
