We love this place! One of the cleanest places to eat. The atmosphere is far superior to the California Soup Plantation, although the corporate office tried to conform the Aurora location to the California restaurants. Luckily they only got as far as removing one side of the restaurant’s glass panels, which helps as a sound barrier. Food is always fresh, the staff cheerful and helpful; the table staff are always removing the used dishes quickly. We take advantage of the senior pricing after 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday. We go at least once a week for a heaping dose of veggies and soups. Baked potato options are great, too. My husband loves the tapioca pudding, which is apparently specific to Sweet Tomatoes. We’ve been going to this location since it opened, so we have seen some changes: smaller muffins, especially the chocolate brownies; change in the soft serve ice cream(not as smooth), inconsistent focaccia; and now, no salt and pepper shakers on the table. We were told it’s because the shakers were being stolen! Okay, these changes are on things that are not very nutritious anyway, but we noticed. This restaurant will always be one of our favorites!

Food was edible but not quite up to the good level. Everything was filthy from the dishes to the floor. Hygiene standards will keep me away from here indefinitely.

Always very clean, love the salad bard and the soups have improved a lot, wish they had cre or marinara sauce on the bread bar, but I love this place, my 3rd visit and definitely not my last and the staff is very friendly.

Kind of a sad salad place, although the only one I could find in the area. It’s lunch time, but only about 5 people sitting there. The salad bar was pretty sparse; it was basic salad fixings and nothing else. The pasta salad at the end looked grey and like out has been sitting there awhile. This chain could make a ton of money being in such a fast food saturated market! But the locations I’ve been to have been lackluster at best.

It has been about 6 months since we have eaten here. We noticed a few changes that we were not happy with. The biggest one was the ice cream. It use to be a really rich, fluffy frozen yogurt. Now it’s heavy water based goo. Not cool. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Second thing is that the slices of bread use to stay nice and warm in a towel under the heat lamp. Now it just sits out by the muffins and hardens. Third thing is that there are no longer eggs at the salad bar. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the soup was really fresh and yummy.

Sweet Tomatoes is probably my favorite buffet place(minus Indian buffets — those places are amazing). They have a variety of soups, salads, and desserts available throughout the day. The options seemed very limited at my most recent visit when I went there for a late lunch, as there were only two pasta choices, two pizza-like things, their usual soups(a lot), but plenty of baked goods(muffins, cornbread) and soups. Perhaps, this location just doesn’t serve as many options? Whatever the case, I thoroughly enjoyed filling my tummy with fresh vegetables from the salad bar, and blueberry/chocolate muffins with ice cream at my most recent visit. Yum.

It’s been a five year hiatus from all Sweet Tomatoes, due to it being my ex-wife’s favorite places to eat. My current and amazing wife asked that we go because she wanted a good salad. So, I honestly know of no better build your own salad place than sweet tomatoes. This location was well kept, some of the patrons were a bit sketchy but the food and service negated these issues. We were pleased with our meal and are very confident that we will return soon.

Stopped for lunch and the salad bar was very good and fresh. The chili was also excellent. My wife enjoyed the tomato chipotle bisque soup too.

We met friends here for dinner and now we want one in Anchorage, Alaska. The veggies were fresh, there was a large selection of fresh veggies and a variety of salads to choose from. They also had baked potatoes with several toppings. My only complaint was that the cheese was full of bacon bits from other people spilling things between serving bowls, but when I brought this up they brought fresh cheese. There were hot pasta dishes to choose from, at least six soups, plus a variety of breads including corn bread.

It was JUST okay. Nothing to write home about. Other locations seem to have more fresh tasty food

I’m glad I have an option in town for a healthy salad, but Sweet Tomatoes just fails to impress. The price is steep for a salad bar and the salad bar itself just isn’t very impressive. The soups and pastas are nice but probably not a good idea if you’re trying to eat healthy, which I suspect most of their customers are trying to do. The place is decorated like a hotel room and feels as sterile and personality-free as one as well. Service is quick, but not very friendly. It’s just a big«meh» overall.

Definetly not what it used to be. When first arriving i asked the lady making a salad if it had meat in it(I dont eat meat). She politely said no and filled the salad in the serving bowl with no tongs for me to serve myself with and proceeded to talk to a coworker about a break. I then asked someone else if another salad had chicken in it. She said no. When i sat to eat it, it clearly had chicken in it. I got some soup and some pasta but it all tasted cheap and from a box. The only good thing about he whole experience was the ranch dressing but I should’ve saved my money and eaten lunch at home. I will not be returning.

So I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. The salad bar is okay not the best but the ingredients were fresh and it was clean. The food on the hot side seem like it just came out of a plastic bag not very good at all. The thing that got me was that the lady that was busting the tables kept putting the dirty dishes that were already in her hand down on our table 1st before she grabbed our dirty dishes. It really grossed me out and therefore I will not return.

A great manager makes for a great experience. Food was excellent, service equally excellent, but it starts at the top. We were a group of 5 seniors, 3 of the group in their 80’s and two with walkers. Eric, the manager, was most helpful bringing out fresh lettuce while we were going through the salad bar, and then getting us to our table, helping with our coffee, desserts and trays. It’s difficult getting out, but it was well worth the effort going to a restaurant with such excellent food and service.

This location is kind of trashed. It’s like both the customers and employees like trashing this place. Some people there care a lot while others don’t. It makes for a mediocre experience. The food was pretty good and the kind waitresses picking up our plates gave it a touch of home. I might be back but as of right now, I want to check out the other locations to see how they size up. From what I’ve been told, this is not the best location.

I wasn’t so sure about Sweet Tomatoes but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was plentiful and very diverse. The salad bar is full of little goodies to fill your plate with, but don’t overdo it there or you’ll miss out on their ‘made from scratch’ soups which were delicious. If you’re looking for more than soup and salad they have pasta, breads, pizza and even a soft serve machine with plenty of toppings you can add. Bonus, the manager even stopped by to see if we were enjoying our food and topped off our water glasses. I’d definitely go back, it’s a solid buffet at a good price.

I love a good salad bar and while this place isn’t fancy(what buffet style really is) it is really solid for toppings and freshness! After the salad there is a great selections of soups(had a great cheesy cauliflower tonight) and a potato bar(my 2nd favorite stop), and a great selection of breads(I go for the focaccia!). Also I tend to not head to the pasta bar and dessert ice cream section but other people love it. Staffing was a little short(not stellar that night at the register), however the manager Jason was excellent and made our stay pleasant. Friendly attentive girl clearing(didn’t get her name). I will always go here for my salad bar fix!

I was looking for Souper Salad for my Post Gym Workout meal. I stumbled upon Sweet tomatoes. It was about 8 dollars for lunch. And Well worth it, from the salads to the array of soups and the mac and cheese. The warm muffins and biscuits. The ice cream and jello. Multiple drink options besides soda for the health conscious. I know where Ill be going when i need an energy fix after the gym from now on. And friendly employees from the Cashier to the servers coming by to clear the table.
