Came late at night, and service was on the slow side but very friendly. Ribeye special was delicious especially for only $ 13. Burgers were high quality and desert was large and tasty.

Before the chain was sold in 2008: Excellent food. Attentive, experienced waitstaff. Tap beer was always available. Side dishes and appetizers were fresh. Baked haddock was excellent. Bourbon glazed Steak tips fantastic. Since the chain was sold: Simply good food, but inattentive understaffed waitstaff. OK side dishes that seemed to be reheated from a freezer. Often out of favorite beer(Guinness, Gansett…) Entrees under–(or even over-) cooked. This week: Closed.

Aww, we used to love this place. It’s really gone downhill lately. The service was much better then the food. The décor needs some updating with it’s dirty carpets and mismatched tiffany lamps, it didn’t feel very pub-like. The beef dip sandwich was overdone and the bread was already sodden when it arrived(think glorified white bread trying to hold up a steak, ain’t gonna happen). I had a Picadilly Amber which had too much bite but I hoped it was made locally, so I didn’t want to knock it too much. It came in a big elaborate glass that made me look like a warrior and had my grandmother giving me the evil eye. It was the equivalent of an 8 ounce but it’s size and shape gave the appearance of a Big Gulp. I don’t know what else to suggest in this area but I don’t think we’ll be going back. Picadilly has gone silly.

This is a cheaper place, really just a «joint». It’s survivable for the money, don’t expect gourmet. Their specials are a good deal, use their coupons, they save significant money, by the time you’re done you get a passable meal for a fair price. It’s all in the expectations.

Service — Poor; lacking attentiveness Atmosphere — Poor; carpeting was dirty and seating area untidy at the time of my visit Food — Good; their saving grace. I especially liked the chicken pot pie Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone.

After being seated right away, it was @10 minutes before our waitress finally showed up, with an apology. However, I heard the same apology from her at other tables that took her so long to get to. We ordered our food and when it came, my side was not correct. The lady that delivered it(not our waitress) gave me such a look when I told her it was in correct and what it should be. Then our waitress came with the correction and it was not correct again! She had written down what I ordered correctly, I could hear the woman that delivered the food comment on what I said, but I guess she wasn’t listening, and told our waitress something else. Food was just okay. No hurry to return there, the only reason I went was because of a groupon. There was a complimentary magician, didn’t make the food appear any better. When it came to paying, it was about 10 minutes wait for waitress to pickup the bill. Oh and they should play something different through the ceiling speakers. It was right over our head and very annoying.

The food was GREAT but the service at this restaurant is TERRIBLE. It was 4 of us and first the hostess was extremely rude… basically argued with my friend about how many people there were and tryed to correct her. Then… We got seated… ordered our drinks the waitress took 10 minutes to get us those… dropped the drinks off to us. didn’t even ASK us if we wanted to order an appetizer or anything… and disappeared again for about 15 minutes this time. When she came back she goes how are the drinks? We were like ummm can we order? So she puts the order in… the food took an acceptable time to come… that was probably the only plus. Then. We ordered another round of drinks right as we got the food… that took 20 minutes… and last but not least she hands us the bill. My friend was talking to the waitress about how he wanted it split down the middle between two cards and she WALKS away right as he’s talking… She comes back and says she CAN’T split the bill down the middle… she asked her manager and said she can’t. So I argued back and said oh really because everywhere else will do that. Can I get that confirmed by a manager please? She rolls her eyes and says sure. She comes back WITH the check split down the middle between the two debit cards JUST the way I requested and goes… I got one of the other girls to do it the manager is on the phone… no apology nothing and just LEFT. Bottomline…the food is delicious! But service is awful. Do Take out!!!

I am not one to write reviews but just had a horibble experience and this restauraunt. First the hostess tried to correct my wife when we said how many people. Second the waitress did come promptly but seemed bothered when I handed the restaurant com gift certificate. After we placed our drink order it took another 10 min to place our order. when my wife s soup came the waitress was like hello hello to her to hand her soup and never said excuse me. The refills took a while to get once ordered the part that got me was the waitress saying they couldnt split the check with two cards After asking to speak to the manager the waitress came back able to split the two cards The good news is the food was great.

I LOVE the home cooked meals at this restarant. The food is always tasty and the place is clean. I like the décor/atmosphere as well, the wood on the walls etc. I would recommend this restarant for a nice meal. :)

We waited a good 20 minutes for food and I did not get what I ordered. Then the waitress wanted to argue with me that I really order the chicken foccicio which has guacamole and mushrooms– both of which I cannot stand. Tuna melt is what I really ordered. The melt was good once it arrived(another 10 minutes). The chicken blt hubby order with onion rings. The rings were over cooked and the pickle on the side was just mush. I really cannot describe it. It was over ripe, dark green, soggy and limp. Refills were extremely slow.

We’ve eaten at various Piccadilly Pub’s, and this one did not impress me. The food was GOOD. The service was SLOW. The person we had was nice, we just didn’t see her much. The presentation was GOOD. The booth we sat in needed maintenance, there was a big whole in the seat. I liked the location in Worcester better myself, but try both and let me know what you think :)

Gets worse every time we go. 5 years ago, would have been 5 stars for it’s catagory — casual pub/family place. I want it to be the way«it was.» However, after walking to the car after our last visit, all I could think about was«we could have saved $ 30 if we went to McDonalds.» It gets one more chance — maybe in a year or so.

I don’t know what happened to this place. The service is still great, no complaints there at all. But the food? I really have no idea what happened. EVERYTHING seems to be different and nowhere near as good as it once was. My husband and I dine out 2−3x a week and Picadilly was always in the rotation. I particularly LOVED their side garden salad and their italian dressing. But even that has changed(salad is much smaller, lacking the toppings it once had, and the dressing has changed). Their pub grub appetizers no longer impress us(chicken tenders have changed… huge disappointment). Their sandwiches are just«eh» and their meals? Forget it. I ordered a steak on one of my last visits and it was absolutely awful. Actually, probably one of the worst I have ever had. And the waitress saw I didn’t eat it and didn’t want to take it home but never even bothered to ask if there was a problem(I typically speak up when I have a poor meal but this wasn’t even worth the fight). We used to visit this place(this location or the Shrewsbury Street/Worcester location) at least 2x a month, if not more. Now we will only stop by if we are literally right near one and don’t feel like driving anywhere else(which has been maybe twice in the last 4 months).

With an area full of various restaurants, you would think a place would try to cater to a better style of food. This is not one of them. In fact it has been compared to another of my least favorite restaurants, Applebees, but in fact I think Applebees is almost better than this one. This is a chain of restaurants around the area and they all are terrible. The location is right off the Mass Turnpike on a main road. The outside looks like a house and the inside doesn’t match. It is a collection of pine wood tables and paneling and is just all around bad. The service here is not too bad but not too good either. The bar in these places is smack in the middle of the place and contains the scary locals that frequent the place. The menu is just a collection of whatever they had in the fridge that day, almost like they threw leftovers together and called it a meal. There are seafood and steak and pasta dishes that all taste terrible. They are just not creative, not unique and not invdentive at all and this place is just a below average Friendly’s with chain restaurant feel and bad quality. Skip this place if you want a better experience elsewhere!

What you’d expect from any Piccadilly — comfort pub food like Guinness beef stew and baked sole with lobster stuffing, and a roast turkey dinner complete with cranberry sauce, potato, vegetable, and stuffing — but what you will also find at this Piccadilly is fun clientele and fantastic, diligent service. You’ll be glad you went!
