You will never deal with a nicer bunch of guys. I’ve bought several used Jet tools on craiglist knowing where to go for parts if anything goes wrong. Helpful people willing to give advise. Not often do you go into a store and they give advise to get a cheaper tool after you explain what you plan to do with it. Such was the case years ago at the wood workers show in Puyallup. Neil asked me some questions on my plans for a table saw. He pointed me to the Jet ProShop. I should have listened. I bought the Jet Xacta saw. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. But as a home owner who occasionally builds, it’s more than I need. Couldn’t beat the price though. I bought it new for what people are selling it on craigslist for. This is your place to go for your major tools. Now it they could stock up on bandsaw blades for woodworking?

Had been told about this place for years from fellow blacksmiths and machinists as the place to go when looking for drill presses, bandsaws, etc. They get lots of surplus items from manufactures and offer them at substantially less than retail. Scored a jet drill press from them today at close to 40% less than if purchased elsewhere locally and 25% less than the cheapest online price i could find. And with that savings was able to afford a more well built and sturdier model than i could afford if purchased elsewhere. Def give this place a shot first before any major tool purchase as you could save a lot.

I purchased a Powermatic table saw from Neil and received excellent service. They helped load the saw onto my trailer for me. When I was setting it up I realized that I was missing some screws. Neil sent me a bag of screws the next day with more than I needed. The price for the saw was also extremely good. It was a surplus model but brand new which is my preferred purchase since you get a new unit for the price of a used one. I purchased a Powermatic band saw from a guy on Craigslist and it had an issue with a wobbling wheel. Neil spent time with me to diagnose the issue and even offered to let me borrow parts to see if it corrected the issue before I paid for them. He even pressed the bearing onto the wheel shaft for me. Furthermore, the saw was missing the fence and I could only find the equivalent Jet fence on Amazon. I bought the fence and Neil swapped the Jet rails for the correct Powermatic rails, no charge. I’ve never had a business offer me such great service! The band saw runs perfectly now and I paid a lot less for the parts than they were advertised for online. I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to buy a vise while I was there without any research or price comparisons. Neil recommended a Wilton mechanics vise and showed me the small details that made it a quality unit. I purchased the model 21500 and when I took it home I looked it up to see what the reviews were. Not only were the reviews great, I paid about half of what the online stores were charging before shipping! I have to say that this business is the best business I’ve ever dealt with and that says a lot because I’ve dealt with some stellar mom-and-pop shops. It’s nice to be able to trust someone when asking for recommendations and buying it blindly knowing that it will suit my needs and the price will be better than practically anywhere else. Thanks Neil!

They are nothing fancy, but really great service and prices. I needed an odd part, and they said they should have it and come on in. I was apprehensive, but they took my broken part and came back in two minutes with just the part I needed! Worth a call before you buy any brands they carry.

Disclaimer: I’m a little disgruntled by a bait-and-switch Craig’s list add they ran for to-good-to-be-true metalworking lathe. Most of the the lathes they had at the time I visited were pretty banged up. They’ll leave it up to you to determine if the scratches and dents represent any serious flaws. I consider myself OK at inspecting machine tools. Decent enough to recognize that, after I found a broken DRO scale, the only reason to torque down the carriage clamp and then remove the clamp’s handle would be to disable anyone else from discovering the same… That said, there were some deals(drill presses and band-saws) that I’d definitely go for if I were in the market.

This place sells surplus equipment from Jet, Powermatic, Oliver, Performax, and Wilton… some others too I think, whatever they can get their hands on. My Jet drill press came a little costmetically dinged, but the price was well worth it. The Bandsaw was perfect, just surplus… the boxed was just slightly blemished. The people there are expert machinists, and can fix anything they sell. They stand behind the products they sell for life. If you’re a little more savvy than the typical woodworker, I totally recommend this place for your tools and equipment.
