The food is so good here and the service never disappoints. We have been here many times and We always have a great experience. It’s also different each time we visit. Their menu changes seasonally, but everything is always great.

The vibe of this place is fun and lively. Our server was very pleasant and was able to accommodate our table of almost 20 people. We ordered the pineapple guacamole with plantain chips, chicken empanadas, grilled shrimp, and spinach and cheese balls for the appetizers. I liked the apps and house bread more than my meal! Although the steak I ordered was cooked perfectly, I thought it and the sides that came with it were oversalted. The desserts were delicious. I would recommend coming here for the apps and maybe treating it like tapas for a meal. If I had another opportunity to try out the food, I might try out the lighter fare and see how they are. Otherwise, is it a place I would revisit on my own? Probably not.

Summary of Experience My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at Cuba Libre. I have to say that as far as service goes, it was one of my most enjoyable experiences ever. The food was just incredible, packed with flavor and fresh. The drinks were well made and refreshing. Our server was extremely knowledgable about all of the dishes and drinks. The Details My wife and I both had a grown up drink I had the Pomegranate house mojito — $ 11 made with Brinley Gold Shipwreck spiced rum and pomegranate juice. Not amazing but laid back and refreshing. I enjoyed it. My wife didn’t much care for the flavor. My wife had the Guantanamo Bay rum punch — $ 10.50 made with Brinley Gold Shipwreck spiced rum, pineapple Juice, pomegranate juice, coconut and a few more assortments of juice. It was better and bigger than my mojito. For appetizers we skipped the appetizer menu and went for tapas. You can choose two for $ 16.50, 3 for $ 24, and 4 for 31. We chose to have 2, because we weren’t exactly breaking the bank for dinner since we are staying at Caesar’s lol! We had the Coconut Crab Fritters: Jumbo lump crabmeat, fresh grated coconut, peppers, fresh herbs. Sweet chili dipping sauce and Papas Rellanas: Potato croquettes filled with beef picadillo. Sweet and spicy guajillo pepper sauce. Crispy onions and Manchego crema. These dishes were just delicious and we were both amazed at how good they were. The Papas were actually better than the crab fritters and we are both crab fritters fanatics. For dinner, the OMG moment of the night. This food was just amazing. My wife had Churassco a la Cubana — $ 28.25: All natural Black Angus grilled skirt steak, roasted garlic boniato-potato mash. Parsley, lemon, onion sauce. Watercress salad and red wine vinaigrette. The potato mash is splendid. Just bursting with flavor. Very tender meat, a truly impressive dish. I had the Ropa Vieja — $ 23.25: Shredded beef brisket stewed with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, red wine. Maduros and steamed white rice. I enjoyed this dish more than the Churassco. I don’t really like plantains, but they paired nicely with the dish. Finale I will definitely come back to Cuba Libre here and we will be trying the one in Philly too. In between our tapas and entrée we were given complimentary warm Cuban bread with a mango cinnamon butter. This was just a treat that we didn’t expect. It was a fabulous touch to the excellent service and I had to give a 20% on this nearly $ 100 dollar excursion. Every penny was well worth it. Love this place.

I went to Cuba Libre several times while in Atlantic City for the Europa Expo. The restaurant is located at the bottom of the Havana tower in the Tropicana. The vibe is exactly what you would expect: like you are in Havana. I ordered the chicken, beans and rice plate every time I ate here and it was absolutely delicious. Their alcohol is priced relatively inexpensive and they have some damn good margaritas. The service was excellent: extremely friendly and fun staff and they recommended some great tequila drinks. I will definitely stop by next time I stay at the trop.

Pros: The location is great with surrounding things to do and there are outside parking lots all around that are cheap. $ 5-$ 12 for the night — just depends which lot you go to. The place is upscale and exciting especially during the weekends. The food is really good but a bit pricy — what do you expect in a place like that in AC though? So it’s understandable. The waiters/waitresses are very professional and their mojitos are to die for. They make the best but some may like it stronger so be warned that their mojitos are a bit on the light side. Cons: The only thing that I did not find appealing were the greeters. There are too many girls standing there as if they have no work to do, and they need training on their customer service. My husband and I did not feel welcomed because they never said«welcome to Cuba Libre, how can I help you?» Or however the hell they are suppose to greet their customers. One of them had the audacity to ask my husband, «what do you need?» Well let’s start with a table and some upscale customer service at least. Who ever is the owner needs to check their front greeters and fix that little mess that is going on. Recommendations: Love the food but please add more vegetarian dishes!

Can’t say much for the dining experience but can speak for the dessert. My wife and I normally don’t dine in hotel restaurants but they had a Chocolate Torte in their dessert menu that just brought us in. It was worth the visit because the atmosphere is inviting and fun, very nice Cuban’esq feel.

Beautiful decorations, very friendly staff. Did the«15 Tastes of Cuba» tasting menu. My only wish was I had skipped lunch. There was so much food and everything was flavorful. In regards to past comments about the drinks being«light.» For anyone who has traveled to the region knows they are masters at masking the liquor taste. Very lovely drinks. This will be on my repeat list for next time I’m in Atlantic City

Review for Nightlife & Drinks They charge $ 10 after midnight and it was EMPTY. They create a hype so you think people are in there. The DJ on Friday 10⁄16 was corny, played music from two summers ago, no classics, no hits… sad excuse for a Latin night For being a «Rum bar» we weren’t even sure if there was alcohol in the drinks …they abruptly put the lights on and kick everyone out like a high school dance.

Came here for my Birthday dinner and what a great choice. The waiter suggested a taste of Cuba special they had I tell u it was out of this world. Only one minor change to the menu since my boyfriend doesn’t eat pork they substituted it w grilled chicken which we greatly appreciated. We each order the special for 39.99 and I tell u it was well worth it! We were so full by the time dessert came but we still made room for that lol! It was nice and relaxing since it was a little empty but it was a Tuesday night. It was just what I wanted. Was able to have a conversation w my boyfriend while not having to scream over the music. Great date night place. Great place to take the family as well. We will definitely be back!

A review of Nightlife and drinks only. Pros: 1.Varied Latin music 2. Two floors for dancing 3. Beautiful Décor 4. No Cover Cons: 1. Expensive & Watered down drinks 2. Waiting on line to get in when NOONE is inside 3. Overcrowded dancefloor Generally my take on a night here is because someone else suggested it, or because we had a bit too much to drink somewhere else and it gave us happy dancing feet as a result. Either ways, I’ve had many fun times here. The points that I mostly take away is that for such an elegant place, their bartending is horrid! I’ve had everything from a regular vodka tonic to a margarita and it has never been on point. The other thing that really annoys me is that there is absolutely no dress code, so it’s gorgeous inside, you dress up for a night of dancing, and next to you are drunk tourists in cargo shorts and sneakers elbow bumping you bc they want to take up the whole dance floor attempting to tango. Nothing against tourists, since I’m from Jersey, but a minimal dress code would help class the place up a bit, maybe even a guestlist. I do love that there is no cover, especially since Martini next door is $ 10 to get in, and in this area you usually want to bar hop, so a cover really kills the vibe. The other great thing about no cover is that you can go right next door and get a $ 5PBR and shot special to make up for the watered down drinks here. If you want to make it a date night, food here is super pricey, so just make sure you budget correctly. Sadly one of the many reasons I haven’t eaten here, bc it hurts my soul to pay that much for latin food, having other great places in philly serve it at one third of the cost. The DJ is always a good time, they have dancers and performances on Sat nights. I would say a lot smaller than the Atlantic City one, but still the same ambiance, so at least go check it out.

This is my go to mojito place. The grilled pineapple mojito — the best! Also a nice happy hour spot & the food is great.

A co-worker hooked me up with a generous coupon for Cuba Libre, so when we ran into the AC version and while looking for some dinner in the Tropicana, it was like fate had led us there. The hostess was bitchy but our server was super good. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share, which were insanely well made with fresh ingredients and she made sure everything came out when we were ready for them in courses. The scallop ceviche will be memorable as well as Shrimp-Corn Fundido. The coconut mojito was to die for… it went down really fast. I loved the smoothness of the coconut in my glass. The coconut crab fritters were tasty and had a nice texture, but I wasn’t in love with the malanga fritters. There just wasn’t much going on there for me… it was like a plain, Cuban hushpuppy. Maybe it was too much grease after indulging in the freshness of the appetizers. The atmosphere was nice and Cuban theme-y, but I am still curious to see what it’s like in the Philly Cuba Libre.

We came for lunch on a Wednesday around noon. We almost missed out because Unilocal only shows dinner hours. My mom absolutely loves this restaurant and she was just exuberant knowing we were going. No need for the menu, she knew she wanted the Churrasco! Our server Brian. or was it Ryan? Ah. He was great! Very attentive and engaged with us. Empanadas to start, yum. I have had the seafood paella. I like it, but it is very salty for my taste because I use little salt in my day to day. Love Arroz con Pollo and Ropa Vieja. We shared some tapas and they were mostly a hit, one miss. Maduros are always delicious. Papas Rellenas were very good. I really liked the Grilled Baby Octopus-it was my favorite. I did not like the Coconut Crab Fritters they were over fried and bland. My stepsister is a bartender and normally doesn’t care for Mojitos, but she figured if anywhere is going to do it right it’s going to be Cuba Libre. And she was right. I love their Café Cuba Libre with coconut milk. It is so frothy and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. Desserts are always good!

The bartender was overwhelmed when we were there. He seemed to be taking care of all of the tables, as well as all of the people ordering at bars. I don’t think that the situation was handled well. We were asked if we wanted drinks, and then he walked away for ten minutes. It took quite a while to get the drinks that we ordered. We ordered a few small bites, it took a while for them to take our orders for these as well. The mojito was very good. A little sweet for my taste, but perhaps I need to stop drinking mojitos. I was hoping for an interesting list of rums, but the options were pretty typical.

They have the most amazing food. Do not skip the pineapple guacamole. You will regret it. Instead of eating a main course I suggest ordering several tapas. You can experience several smaller played as opposed to one large meal. The entrees are not that interesting. The service is great. Our food came out quick and everything that arrived to our table had an introduction. All the garnishes were edible. An example is the caramelized onions on top of papas rellenos the caramelized onions not only look pretty but complemented the dish

Killer mojitos and great food! Latin love! Located in The Quarter shopping, entertainment, and dining section of the Tropicana AC it’s a good spot to experience some Latino Heeeeat! Cool theme restaurant look without being too cheesy. Kind of a throwback décor to Havana Cuba in the 1950’s when it was a nightlife destination of glitz and glamor. Personally, I like these kind of Disney faux-destination looking spots as they are fun to me. Not every place we eat at has to be all upscale, fancy, and serious looking. From the times we have been there we were pleased with the atmosphere and service and the food. No complaints here as we enjoyed the guacamole, chips with a trio of dips, chicharonnes, sweet plantains, black bean soup, malanga fritters, ropa vieja, arroz con pollo, and yuca fries. Of course tres leches cake, flan, and dulce de leche ice cream make good dessert choices. Prices are fair considering it’s on a casino property and should be expected to be a little higher. Service has been terrific each time. Grab a late dinner here with a pitcher of mojitos or sangria to get a good buzz on, then hit the floor to shake your groove thang when it turns into a dance club with hot Latin beats. Latino Heeeeeeeeeat!

The drinks are amazing, the bartenders are knowledgeable and the appetizers are good — the trio of dips(?) stands out — try it! We’ve had dinner twice and weren’t impressed with the food or the service so we will stick with happy hour and noshie food. The rum drinks are so good and the mojito is insanely tasty — plenty of lime and the right amount of mint. There are many bars to choose from in the Quarter and Cuba Libra is one of only 3 that we like to frequent. Salud!

I have mix emotions about this place. My friends and I came here for appetizers and drinks with the idea of staying until it turns into a club. We shared four appetizers, guacamole, spring rolls, chicharones and papa rellenas. I have to say none where good and I ate them just to eat it. I will not be eating here again since the food is not good at all. Our waitress was super nice and was very good with drink recommendations. Now lets get to the club part, the music was great and a very mix crowd. I would be coming back just to party and have dinner some where else.
