Love this food and cook from the cookbook too! I am from LA but have to go here every time. The soups are so good and different, the chili is so good(easy to make too). It is much easier to sit now that they have moved but the food is the same and consistent.

have had better. Cook and owner can be grouchy if you mention a needed improvement in the service or food.

What a yummy treat! I say treat because while the healthy foods will make you feel good about your nutrition, I always feel a little bad about the $ 15+ leaving my wallet for a soup/salad/sandwich duo. Everything is always delicious and flavorful, though I have always enjoyed sandwiches the best despite the«soup» in the name. Some of the salads can be a little heavy on the dressing, but the friendly staff are always happy to let you taste before committing to a lunch choice. What really stood out to me about the great staff and owners was when a friend and I came for lunch after a 8 mile power walk in the summer heat. We hadn’t realized the restaurant was cash only and recognizing our exhaustion, the owner happily gave us our lunch for an IOU to come back with the cash later in the day! The food was 10x more delicious with the side dish of extra kindness!

My new favorite brunch spot! BTW, I’m seriously NOT a person who cares about healthy or local, but in THIS case, I think it only adds to the quality. Even the coffee is amazing, and I’m really particular about my coffee. Pastries wonderful, bacon awesome, husband enjoyed his quiche, smoked salmon thing, grits yummy, bet the steel cut oatmeal is, too. still not finished, resting between trips(HA!), but no doubt it’s all great! The huge spread includes beverages all for $ 15. Oh, credit cards now accepted, too! Ambience is great, wish there was more patio seating. Fresh tulips on the tables! Even has a cute kid’s corner and high chairs. We came at a busy time, so had to ask for more coffee mugs and the forks had run out, but they got right on it. So coming back soon, maybe even with our little people.

Our first visit to a Souper Jenny and we love it! The food is healthy and delicious and artfully presented. The décor is cute and I love the fabulous bookstore collection. Sunday Brunch was a great opportunity to sample lots of dishes. My husband said it was the best bacon he has ever eaten. My favorites were potato latkes and the spinach apple salad. Coconut Danish was also very good. Highly recommended!

What an impressive Sunday Brunch. My daughter and I had a super delicious and relaxing time at the new Souper Jenny at the Atlanta History Center. For only $ 20 per person you can choose from a large buffet of hot and cold items, amazing biscuits, pastries, juices, teas, coffees and soft drinks. I’ve posted a picture of today’s menu. Some of our favorites included the quiche, bacon, sausage, French toast, salmon tartine, chicken salad and the pastries. Wait! I forgot the cheddar grits. Omg. I really like the space at this Souper Jenny — — it’s at least two stories tall with floor to ceiling glass windows that look out onto Buckhead. There’s also great seating outside. Souper Jenny shares this large space with the Bookstore and Gift Shop for the History Center. So books are scattered throughout the space, and diners were enjoying flipping through some interesting titles. Monday through Saturday this Souper Jenny serves its usual assortment of soups, salads and sandwiches. But on Sunday the format shifts to this Brunch which is served from 11 am to 3 pm. This is my new favorite Sunday spot.

Despite the namesake, I’ve been here several times and never gotten soup. However, I’ve always enjoyed their salads, sandwiches, and pastas. The food is really delicious and seems pretty healthy. The place has a nice patio and they open up some doors for the inside when the weather is nice. I really wish this place was open for dinner or at least had a takeout option. As things are now, it’s either a weekday or Saturday lunch option. One downside to the place is that it’s very pricey. The portions are large so you can make it a good value if you’re smart about it. I go with my girlfriend and we get the lunch special for $ 15. It’s enough food for both of us for a normal lunch(we’re not huge eaters).

Nice Healthy Lunch. Went here for lunch with a co-worker. Great soup! I had the Tomato, Artichoke, Parm Soup. I was looking for something light, and this place hit the spot. There was a line, but it moved quickly. The portion sizes are great, unless you are a mammoth. I’ll be back. I passed this name to the rest of the Audit Team.

I was trying to be healthier but eat something different for lunch. I’ve exhausted my options within walking distance of my office, so any chance I get a chance to drive out for lunch, I jump on that opportunity in a heartbeat. My friend took me here for a quick birthday lunch. I was slightly worried that Souper Jenny would run out of their better lunch options by the time we got there around 12:45/1PM, but there was still a decent amount left(all the options were still available). I ended up getting the Bengalese Chicken Soup and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Both were pretty tasty but the chicken in the sandwich was a little dry. The soup was flavorful and seasoned nicely, but nothing mind blowing. No one heard me complaining as I finished off the bowl of soup right away. Seating is always a bummer to find during peak lunch hours. It’s not the most diverse lunch crowd — I noticed I was the only non-Caucasian person in the room. But hey, soup and salad and sandwiches didn’t come from Asia. The combo is great — a choice of two of the following: soup, salad and sandwich, with a drink, cookie, a bread roll and some fruit. I love the Souper Jenny concept and maybe when I’m feeling adventurous, I’ll walk the mile over to for lunch.

I really like this place. It was my first time here and the food was delicious. I had a bacon lettuce and avocado wrap and I blown away how good it was. I ordered the special that came with a bowl of turkey chili. I loved it. The service was great friendly and so warm I am definitely coming back.

Eh it’s a nice idea but everything is pre-made elsewhere, and served as-is. No changes. I got the chicken cordon bleu. It was good, but nothing to rave about. With a soft drink it came to $ 8.64 for just the sandwich and a can of coke. Way too expensive in my book. I get the whole hipster love the earth mindset, but it’s too expensive and the one-size-fits-all, small menu leaves a lot to be desired.

Souper Jenny has some of the best chili I’ve ever had. I have had hundreds of different variations of chili and this is, by far and away, one of the best. If you are ever in the Atlanta area and you are looking for a clean lunch that is not heavy take a trip to Souper Jenny. Their cookies are fantastic as well!

Best black bean burger I’ve ever had in my entire life! The bun was freshly baked and the patty was seasoned to perfection. I look forward to trying more menu items! Everything looked and smelled amazing. Also they’re staff is very patient and helpful. She even offered me a few samples. I’m so happy to know that this place is around the corner !

On a chilly and gloomy day like today, I couldn’t think of a better place to grab a healthy and wholesome lunch than here. The location is adorable. All of Jenny’s locations are made to look like little cottages complete with cozy couches, painted chairs and throw pillows. This location is popular for its soup and sandwich offerings. Today’s goodies included a fall root veggie soup, an eggplant Parmesan soup, and a pita sandwich stuffed with zucchini, arugula and sundried tomato goat cheese. Yum! Warmth and goodness all over. Comes with a complimentary cookie when you get a soup and salad. Tis rare but I actually enjoyed the crispiness of the cookie. I’m also obsessed with their rolls. I don’t know where they come from but they’re always so soft and chewy. The soups and sandwiches change daily, the only thing that stays is the turkey chili. If you’re vegan or have dietary restrictions, they have lots of great offerings. I only wish it were bigger so I wouldn’t so often find myself sitting in the front room that is often exposed to the elements. The lines run out the door so the door stays open, rain, sleet or snow. Oh, and they don’t take cash.

Soup, soup, soup! After trying Jonah’s attic I eventually wanted to stop by Souper Jenny, especially with soup being involved. Verdict was roughly the same. The concept, the atmosphere, all nice and wholesome, but nothing that’d reel me in as a staple. I find the restaurants, so far, are lacking«spice» so to speak. Not as in there isn’t anything spicy, there is plenty under that, but it’s missing something for me to fully give it a hell yea. If you’re vegan or in a gluten-free lifestyle then it’s a lovely stop off. Plenty of options, all fresh and pretty delicious, but frankly… outrageously overpriced. Not sure what’s with Atlanta milking the organic cash cow, but eh, they’re pretty decent eats. They seem to usually have several soups you can choose from which switch out. They also have some nice sandwiches & salads too. I’ll definitely make my way back for some of Jenny’s soups… but that might just be it. If you’re familiar with Jonah’s attic, then it’s similar with the buffet. You also can get soups to go from big bowls to small. As others have mentioned, they make great lunch break food or if you’re just on the go.

Best chicken noodle soup for the soul! Although my bf had insisted on going for months, I had postponed on going here until now when he had his wisdom teeth pulled and needed something soft. Sandwich and soup are not my thing, but, to my surprise, this place is awesome! All their soups are very flavorful and they do not skimp on their ingredients, what so ever. Menu changes often, which I like so that I will not get sick of the routine menus. So far, I tried their pretzel turkey sandwich, chicken cordon bleu, their signature turkey chili, chicken noodle soup, and shrimp & andouille sausage. Everything has been thumbs up =) Oh, one tip, don’t forget cash!(They only take cash or check)

Apparently I was hungry and didn’t even know it. I was rendered speechless after the first bite of the sandwich, and definitely lost inhibition after the first taste of the cool, flavorful gazpacho. Words finally came back after I gobbled up the last crumb of the sandwich and slurped the last drop of the soup. Today’s sandwich special:. Roast Beef, Swiss, Horseradish Mayo, Mixed Greens and Tomato on Challah. It looks like a small sandwich but it definitely is filling. I also got the gazpacho soup. I’m glad I got the bowl because the cup looks too little. Apparently soup and sandwich comes with a roll which is soft and fresh. We also got two different cookies but I didn’t try it. I was disappointed I couldn’t call in multiple orders for pick up. However, service is quick as everything was pre-made and ready to be packed into a paper bag. The atmosphere is relaxed and homey. There are also some tables in front and outside. Parking is crowded but there were some spaces available. This place gets a 4.5 star so that I may go back and try again before I give the official 5 star stamp. I am excited to go back! Maybe next time I’ll have room to get a smoothie at the sister store next door!

I still stick by my initial 3 star review but the extra star is simply because I have a zillion more Pros than Cons. 4STARS! Here’s why: Negatives– *expensive for soup or salad or sandwich. *creative soups but I usually add salt *the lines are stupid long and they box the hot soup around 5 in large containers. Positives– *if not the MOST! the staff is absolutely wonderful! I love Marshall and all staff members are genial, always helpful and eager to explain. They seems to enjoy their jobs very much! *the large stored soups are delicious and easy to grab for microwave lunch day *the food is great! Healthy and made fresh. Soups are all great. From curry sweet potato to everything vegetable. *sandwiches have cool spreads or a fruit preserve instead of things like mayo and mustard. I had one with a jam spread, spinach, ham or turkey I forgot – and a giant wedge of Brie. Yes?! Yum! *sounds weird but the rolls they serve soup with are the bomb. Get extra. Give in. Do ittt Oh and before I forget– I had the tomato basil goat cheese soup today and it might be my favorite of all time. My Dads Turkey Chili is my second favorite of Jenny’s. It’s great. And they serve it with sour cream and cheese if you want it.– yes I do! And last but not least,(quite possibly the best of it all) their cookies are stupid. My favorite is a chewy one that tastes like toffee. Or maybe the oatmeal one. Either way they’re my jam.

Great place for a healthy, yet filling lunch! You must however time it right or you will NOT have an indoor seat/wait in a long behind line. The menu changes everyday. Lunch specials will give you the best bang for your buck. Today I had a bowl of gluten free turkey chili(known as «my dad’s), creamy brie/roasted pear/apple butter & arugula sandwich on challah bread, chocolate chip cookie, coke, water & a fresh orange to go… a ton of food, right?! All that for $ 13CASHONLY! You’ve gotta be a soup and salad/sandwich fan to enjoy this joint. Its real artsy-fartsy-eclectic like. Stay at home moms & grandmas love this place for baby day out. Beware that the space is not abundant, but just right. They have about 11 tables in two rooms, a long family style table in the center of the room & a couch for dining. You will more than likely bump into someone, but as long as ‘excuse me’ is in your vocabulary you should be good to go. Enjoy new experiences & expand your horizon! Happy eats & Happy New Year
