You’ve always got to appreciate a diner cook who knows their way around a deep fryer. Four of us went to Metro Café and ordered a mix between breakfast and lunch items. One had catfish wish was fried PERFECTLY and still flaky and moist, another had the fajita which came out sizzling and smelling delicious and I had the beggars bouquet which had perfect hash browns with a side of bacon. The individual serving us was super attentive and very polite. I don’t recall her name but she was tipped well for her great service to our table. The only misstep were the beverages, we didn’t order alcohol but fountain drinks that seemed to be watered down. We sent them back with no problem and drank water instead. This place is a thumbs up and I’ll be back.

The food was really good, the waitress was really nice and friendly but there was a lot of stairs to go up. Not good if you have a disability.

Well, this was definitely a neat little spot. We were feeling hungry and it was crazy to find out that alot of places here in downtown Atlanta appeared closed. The ambience of the place was pretty great and layout too. The service here was pretty good, food was, on a 1 – 10 scale, about an 9. I ordered the ‘Tour of Milan’ and got the Turkey Sandwich meal. It was overall really good and the dessert was pretty great. I am visiting from San Antonio, TX and really enjoyed this place alot. Go visit this place if you get a chance!

What a great place. Delicious food and beautiful people in one place! The karaōke was upbeat and the enthusiasm was contagious. I’ll return soon. Thanks Metro for a great time.

It was a convenient stop for lunch w/one of my favorite Docs after a business expo 2 weeks before X’mas! Enjoyed the food. Turkey burgers and fries were delicious and filling! Couldn’t stay long for dessert but will have to come back. Truly enjoyed the retro 80s ambience too.

It’s okay. The good? Well, 24 hour service, the rye bread was good and so was the service. Not so bad: Food was okay but a bit greasy for my tastes. I would pick this over eating fast food but if there was a better place I’d probably go there. The restaurant looks like a converted bar?

Man, Metro Café is legit with their deserts! They were mammoth and they were soooo«freakin» delicious! Oh and to top that, I ordered their Deep Fried Calamari which was probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time, and it was ridiculously a lot too! It took four guys to finish it all. What a great deal too! What’s really cool after you have your meal upstairs, you can go downstairs and sing your heart out because they have karaōke every night after 8pm. Their bar is also open during the karaōke nights and serves great drinks! So you know the olé saying, «Drink up because the more you drink, the prettier they get!» Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

I dined at this place twice before and didn’t have the issues I did this time. First off, downstairs was basically like a club. A lot of noise and drunk people. It was about 3am so I expected it but it was my first time experiencing this. The other times I’d come(also in the wee hours of the morning) it was quiet. Anyway our waitress was HORRIBLE. I usually am very understanding but she pushed my buttons. My food came out and my toast was burnt. Literally black. When she place my food in the table I immediately said I wanted more toast and asked why would she even serve that? Also asked for butter. 30 minutes go by, no toast. No butter. At this point i had asked literally over 5 times. Well what do you know? I FINALLY got my toast… along with the check. Food has been finishe. Oh, never got the butter either. Just a bad experience all around.

Nachos! I love the nachos from here. This location is kinda setup like a night club, but it doesn’t really feel like a night club. They have a bar downstairs and sitting room upstairs. I ordered my food to go and didn’t have to wait long for it, so they are alright with me!

This place has really good vibes, I was in Atlanta for a conference this weekend and came twice. The staff is all very pleasant and enjoyable and at night it becomes a party scene with karaōke every night, but it’s fun I promise. My first time, I came beaten and exhausted from travel and was welcomed by my gracious waiter. I was in town from Boston and that Southern hospitality was just what I needed! I ordered a Philly cheese steak with Texas fries. Maybe I missed home(Texas) or whatever and that prompted me to get the Texas fries but the safest bet was regular fries as the Texas fries were semi overcooked. The cheese steak was great! Then I came back around 1 for an order of buffalo wings and french fries which was delicious. This place is fun and convenient– I want something like it in Boston where I go to school

Came in on a Sunday afternoon with my gf, ordered an egg white all meat omelet and she picked the strawberry pancakes. As a side I picked the home fries which were delish, added a dash of ketchup yum! I was feeling the funky neon lights, the restaurant was fairly empty but i’m sure this is place gets rocking towards the evening. Def recommend!

Entrance on International. Greek food, rock and roll on the sound system, sports bar. Oddity but the Reubens was f great and the beer ice cold. Don’t expect the staff to fawn over you. Let them know what you need and they will be happy to get it to you. Worth a try.

I was in town for a conference and looking for a place to get an early breakfast before the first session of the day. This place was perfectly adequate in terms of the food, but nothing special. It was virtually empty at 7:30am on a weekday but the staff was exceedingly friendly and welcoming. My Mediterranean omelette was a bit overlooked and flat, but was generous with the fillings. If you’re looking for a quick middle-of-the road diner breakfast, this place is fine and the service is great.

I went back after a night on the town and had a lot of fun! Dancing, karaōke, the whole nine! The food is just ok but after a night of drinking, we had no complaints. I will visit again just because it seems like a fun place to hang out and all the patrons were so personable.

I am a Waffle House Saturday breakfast guy. But finding myself in downtown Atlanta on a Saturday morning and the Waffle House with a 3o minute wait I decided to give metro café a try. And I wasn’t disappointed. It is a diner atmosphere in the midst of the city: mirrors, neon lights, noisy, busy and constant motion. Not to mention the incredible cake display as you walk up the stairs to the dining room. In short, exceeded my expectations: pleasant prompt service, excellent vegetarian omelette, basic grits(no salt, which is fine with me since I can add my own), a good bagel and reasonable corned beef hash(not the best in the country but pretty good).(And yes I over-ordered but left with a box of leftovers for another day). Prices are higher than what some might expect but OK by me. After years of driving by on my way to work I am glad I finally stopped in. Worth a visit and will be back

24 hour bar with good service. It’s the hang out spot for people in town for meetings/conventions and trying to hook up. The drinks were good and not watered down. It can get crowded since its seemingly the only place open late in the area. The layout has balconies such that you need to watch for falling drinks. We had multiple drinks fall on us from different areas while sitting on the first floor. I would not go back though. Too many old Cougars who inappropriately touched my husband to the point of other men commenting about him getting«action» since these men watched strange women grab his butt and feel him up as they squeezed by… and no they didn’t need to squeeze.

Lost another star. I only went because my business partners wanted to go & I didn’t want to be the cranky one. Tomorrow I’ll be the top cranky B**TCH! HOW can u mess up pancakes?! When they are so thick & dry they taste like couch cushion stuffing! Waitress Maria was nice & on point though. NOT going back for breakfast!

We went here for late night karaōke at the request of out friends. Upon entering, the mirrors and neon that are EVERYWHERE can be a bit off putting. I guess they are going for a 50’s diner theme, but just took it a bit too far A friend of ours wanted to go upstairs first(where food is served 24 hours) for a late night breakfast. He said that the omelet was really good, and his meal was reasonably priced. The cheese grits were just grits poured over a single slice of cheese that was placed at the bottom of the bowl. Considering most of the patrons here have had a good bit to drink, given their hours, most people probably aren’t that concerned about the quality of the food. The downstairs portion of the restaurant is mostly taken up by a long bar surrounded by bar stools(which can be hard to navigate around when it is crowded) and a small area for karaōke singing, which is apparently what everyone comes for at night. The variety of music sung was good… very entertaining. The well drink prices, in my opinion, were ridiculous($ 6.50 the cheapest liquor possible… and NOT strong pours either.) We spent over $ 100 here, which in my opinion could have been much better spent on good craft cocktails elsewhere. The fun feel in the crowd bumped it up to 3 stars.

Again, we all know how much I hate diners and diner food. Overwhelming menu full of bad food. But this one… this one… YUM! I had my 1st gyro here years ago. It was so good! Please go visit. Nice and clean inside and located off of Peachtree.

Midnight Snack Metro Café Diner is extremely convenient if your visiting near downtown Atlanta! Parking can be extremely complicated unless your stopping by in the evening for a midnight snack! I purchased the sampler platter for $ 12(very reasonable). However the sampler was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted! The chicken tenders are terrible(uncertain of the batter) the poppers were even worse. My side order of French fries were my best choice. I also ordered a Key Lime pie slice. It was pretty delicious! $ 29 dollars later with two sodas and my only regret is getting out of my bed at the hotel to visit this facility. The karaōke seems pretty popular and the place was definitely consistent with customers. There was one homeless gentleman out front asking for spare change. The young man was very polite and I didn’t feel threatened because there is plenty police on patrol. I’m on vacation and have no plans to return!

I was in town for a legend conference and we loaded this place up with drunkenness on a Tuesday night. It’s really bright and neon-y. Bartenders are really nice and they work quickly. Drinks are super cheap. There was an hour wait to get on karaōke so that was not cool. They also space out the singing in between playing a song that the waiting gets even longer. Definitely had loads of fun but I wonder what this place is like on a normal week.

3.5 Stars** Went with friends… We’re all here from different cities staying downtown Atlanta for a special occasion. It was great to get here and get started right away. I only have ONE complaint… And it’s a very easy fix — the food is classic diner, so I’m sure accommodating a customer with sautéed peppers and onions in their peppers, onion and ham omelet shouldnt be to difficult, but it was. It’s OK because the service, people watching, wings and desserts were kickazz awesome! We’ll be back before we leave this city… That’s a guarantee.(Be prepared to either hand over your to go box, if you have one, once you step outside, or bring some spare change for the friendlies who reside on the cold/hot streets of Atlanta. I’m convinced they enjoy this place as much as a paying person does!) #MirrorsGalore #WatchYourStep

The food here is your standard diner food. However, the reason why this place gets 4 stars is because of the service and the dessert. Regarding the service, I have to say it is some of the best service I have ever received at 3am. Everyone was courteous, friendly and knowledgable. Our waitress Dakota was really awesome. She got my inappropriate sense of humor, didn’t mind me telling her things I’m sure she didn’t want to hear and she gave excellent dessert recommendations. I’ll definitely be making another semi-drunk trip here in the near future.
