This is a great place in a little bit of a rough part of Asbury but they have valet parking and security so you have nothing to worry about. Now about the food the appetizers were good, the stuffed artichoke was of the hook, The salad was absolutely amazing family style with the dressing on it. I ordered stuffed veal chop that is bar none one of the best veal chops I’ve ever had I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed

eyyyyyyy. This is the place to be for old fashioned Italian fare and décor. Pics of the owner with Sinatra, Springsteen, you no the deal. The neighborhood is super sketchy but they have valet parking. The food is kind of pricey but for what you get its totally acceptable. A chicken dish may run you $ 30-$ 35 but you get a salad and basically food for two days. Drinks were strong and came out from the bar in what felt like seconds. If I lived closer I would eat at the bar here all the time. We were young for the crowd but who cares about that. Great place for a family dinner. They have some large round tables and there are just to many great apps to choose from. A party of six is ideal. Looks like the back dining area can be closed off so im sure they do private parties. Dinner for two cost us about $ 150 with tip. We both had leftovers. Italian leftovers are the best! Service absolutely matched he price as well.

This place is definitely old school but wouldnt say it has a great ambiance like the other italian places i have been to. Chicken piccata was well made but definitely overpriced. The food is definitely above average but not worthy of anything above 3 stars based on overall experience.

I love Jimmy’s, every time I come here I am truly pleased! The stuffed artichokes are absolutely delicious and I love the calamari! The house salad that comes with the meal is a favorite of my wife’s and she actually tries not to finish it so She can bring it home… that’s love! The dinners and specials… I have never had a bad entrée… dem meatballs, those are some good meatballs! Desserts and coffees are on point and I am currently so full but all I can think about are my leftovers!

Food was good, wine list had some great selections that were reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive. They lose a star because the entrée prices are just too high for the area. The place is literally in the middle of the hood. Luckily, they valet your car and have a private lot. Definitely overpriced. Two apps, two entrees, wine, dessert, coffee, tax, and tip came to over $ 200.

No terrible not great. The wait staff was attentive until the main course. Then the waitress disappeared. Had to flag her down to ask were the food was. She said she realized it and just spoke to the kitchen. She should have told us as well. When it did arrive I had the stuffed veal chop. Both enormous and delicious. Kudos for that. Others at the table not so much. The seafood platter came out warm. The sides that came out, two small bowls of sticky mashed potatoes. We ordered broccoli rabe, it was forgotten. The veal parmigiana sauce not up to others sauce. As only one of the group was there before, and it was over 5 years ago, we decided that because of the other reviews we had to try, but will not be back. Too bad as it looks like it is jammed every time we drive by.

Jimmy’s is an old fashioned Italian restaurant. Came here last weekend on the way back into the city to grab a bite to eat. You need a reservation and none of us were abiding by the dress code(no tanks, sandals, etc… yikes). The servers were nice older women and it seemed to be the spot for seniors. I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical especially since it was so so quiet in there. The food was great. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. Jimmy’s didn’t have a ton of gluten free options, but I got chicken and sausage. It was great.

Jimmy’s is real old school Italian. With borderline gaudy décor(think Staten Island First Communion), Jimmy’s has still managed to survive amongst the newer and trendier establishments that have opened up in the area these past few years. Nothing«hip» going on here. It’s your standard Italian menu accompanied by generous portions and friendly service. Food is very good, and their red sauce is excellent. My boyfriend and I both agreed their calamari is off the charts. Really nothing innovative on the menu, but I really enjoyed the Chicken Pasquale which was a nice change from my usual chicken parm order. We came here with a group and it was a lot of fun. We had a huge round table we were able to get through a reservation made for in advance. I would definitely recommend for an authentic New Jersey experience reminiscent of scene out of «The Godfather.» Jimmy’s brought me back to my college years spent living adjacent to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. Jimmy’s is a little off the beaten path, but they provide valet parking.
