The chicken is the real winner here, it is very moist and crispy. Top quality chicken and this location has the ideal hours for late night cravings. My friends really like the pizza, I’ve personally never tried it myself. The sides I stay away from, they need to not leave things like their mac & cheese in a plastic container on top of a food warmer, you get a very powerful and unpleasant melted plastic taste in the food. Stick to the pizza or the chicken and you are golden. The people that own this place are awesome, once in a while they blast techno music in the late hours and I love it.

Came here lastnight after a concert at the Pony. Their fried chicken is one of the best in the area. Only got wings, but need to try their legs and breasts. Their chicken is crispy, and not dry. Their batter could use a little more spice, but still be happy if they didn’t change a thing. Kennedys used to be the spot, but hasn’t been for the past few years.

Not only are these guys the best late night option for fresh food in an otherwise dead town, but the owners showed us a great time while we waited for our food. I recommend the potato wedges(with cheese, of course). The brothers that own this place are a riot and made our trip awesome.

This is my go-to spot after a night of drinking in Asbury Park. There’s always an «interesting» crowd here late nights but don’t be intimidated. Walk yourself in there and order up a «center breast». It’s a chicken breast with the bone somehow cut out leaving just a thin band of connective tissue in the back which you just peel off, leaving you with some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. They also do this chicken sandwich that is just great. They seriously just take a regular chicken patty but put it on a toasted bun with fresh tomato, fresh lettuce, mayo and american cheese. Its so damn good! Also their pizza can match up with any of these pizza joints around here but its only $ 1.50 per slice. Can’t beat it. We also love their desserts which they actually make at the owner’s home. They have banana pudding, red velvet cake, cherry cheesecake and this really tasty carrot cake. They even make great fries. We love places that do the small things right and«Crown» as we call it does just that. Definitely go!

This is by far the best and freshest fried chicken I have ever had — however do not expect any frills — takeout is the way to go. Been there twice and expect I’ll be going back again fairly soon. I have to drive a total of one hour(round trip to have it). Wish they would put a location closer to home — it would then become a weekly thing for us for sure. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.
