Not much I can say about this place. Worst food I have had in a long time. Even for airport food it was pretty bad. Flat soft drink, stale bun, frozen chicken patty. Enough said.

If I could give this rating a 0 I would. The most horrible hospitality experience I have ever had. My husband and I have been sitting at this bar for almost 45mins waiting for a pizza, which our waitress didn’t care to inform us that was burnt so they had to make a new one. In a snarky tone none the less. Do not waste your time at this bar. The A terminal is pretty depressing as is, I suggest getting tanked and/​or getting food at Legals Seafood (pre security) before your flight.

Beware of intentionally deceptive pricing. They have some items listed on menu but no prices. They tried to charge me for a top shelf whiskey, the manager claiming all whiskies are the same price (I ordered an old overholt and they charged me for a knob creek! $ 14.25!!) but, the waitress had just offered me a Jim beam at $ 10.25. Lying at all levels. Disrespect for customers, as I suppose in an airport you are fish in a barrel. And most people don’t have ten minutes to stand and wait for a manager like I did. Rude, too. Not the waitress’s fault, though she certainly had no clue what she was serving.

I don’t understand why people ranked it so low. Mellow out. Have a drink, eat some food… and calm down. Don’t be a hater. These people are really friendly and nice. All the waitresses came to see all my pictures of my kids and hubby. I had a great time eating here and waiting on my flight. Why not Gallerybar? Something is wrong with you if you expect Ritz Carlton dining service and banquet hall if your coming from the Ritz. Geez… it’s awesome!

Only thing keeping me from giving zero stars is that Unilocal makes you give at least one. We only got a couple of sodas and some popcorn so I can’t base this on food (though they just get it from across the hall). The service was appalling. Our waitress was rude and paid no attention to us. She needed to finish her text message before getting our drink order. We couldn’t even get her attention to pay the bill so we left a ten spot and left.

In all fairness, this isn’t the most terrible airport bar I’ve been to. While the space got a decent facelift from the old Sam Adams bar, the drinks were a lot better under the old régime.
I can tell because my bloody marys were fantastic back then. Today, not so much. I even had two just to be sure and both were pretty terrible, so I switched to the very overpriced glass of wine.
The space is still small and during peak time, it will be difficult to find a spot to camp, but if you linger long enough, you’re bound to get a seat.
For those complaining about food, this place serves food prepared by a different vendor across the hall, so if you’re not that hungry, just skip eating.
Finally, I still haven’t made up my mind about the service. The first waitress was clearly having a bad day and not in the mood. The second one was much friendlier and seemed happy to be there.
All in all, not terrible, but there’s room for improvement.

This place was disgusting. Not only was the space dirty, but the wait staff was rude and the drinks were pricey. When I asked for my bill, the waitress sent a man over TO SIT AT MY TWO PERSON TABLE WHILE I WAS STILL THERE. He sat down awkwardly and said «the waitress just told me to sit here with you.» I hurriedly gathered my things and waited for my receipt at the counter so as to avoid sitting with a stranger in my bubble for 10 minutes. So awful.

Food is not that great for the price. Service is good. Not much food options in the southwest airline airport terminal.

Well the service wasn’t great but the pesto pizza is what earned this not so fine establishment two stars as opposed to one as it was, while not special, comforting like a warm winter’s fire. Our waitress wasn’t the chirpiest bird in the forest… I’m sure being a waitress at an airport is a tall order and I’m sure some days you wake up on the wrong side of the bed but when in the food service industry you just gotta pretend, fake it until ya make.

Food was cold and under seasoned. Comes from right across hall. (much cheaper there too) I got the buffalo chicken sandwich Well actually I got a cold fried chicken sandwich. No hot sauce no blue cheese. My husband got the Cuban. Although it was cold it did have plenty of meat. Oh and wait we got the bottom of the bag of chips. Not one whole chip on our plate. Staff only smiles at each other and not the customers. Oh and it says bar but they are out of half their beers.

Don’t bother walking into this traveller’s trap. The food looked and tasted like it came from a gas station, the beer was flat, and our waitress had minimal regard for our table.

The food was good. The servers were friendly. It was the only sit down place to eat in this terminal. I wouldn’t say that it was worth the price paid though. But then again, it is airport dining.

Tuna was supposed to be seared fresh for a a salad. I got a crappy tuna salad. Greens are ok…
Better off getting a sandwich and sitting in the airport area.
White bread as a side. Very mediocre for $ 12

They need more space. Always crowded, but that’s because this is the only sit down bar in that gate. You have to wait a long time to get seated, hope I could say it’s worth the wait, but it really isn’t. You just don’t have a choice if you want to enjoy a drink before your flight. Recommended if you get there very early and have at least 2 hours to kill… otherwise, you’ll miss your flight. Also, noticed that the food is from the deli accross, which is at least $ 3 cheaper if you buy it from there. Yeah, you dont get to sit down and enjoy a beer or glass a wine with your sandwhich, so I guess you pay that extra fee for a table and chair. Looks like the gate is under renovation, hopefully it includes to expand this restaurant.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Have about 10 items on the lunch/​dinner menu and they were out of 4 of them at 12 noon. Beer was warm and the cheapest wine they had was $ 13? Couple next to us waited 30 mins for sandwich and salad and had to get to go to make their flight. Save your money, time and frustration and go to the deli next door.

I had some of the worst service i’ve ever experienced here. Yeah, I’m not expecting anything mindblowing, but they were straight up rude to me, completely ignored me. Nobody that works here gives a flying fuck. Not to mention that they were out of the first SIX beer choices I ordered. That’s right, SIX.

Ugh! Super long lines because the space was soo small and you aren’t allowed to stand outside the partitions. I HATE this gate. this is the only actual bar here, and the other places to get a beer have super long lines also. Very unpleasant. This place was very crowded as well and I had nowhere to sit and relax and drink a beer and read my magazine! That is something I enjoy doing at airports but it is always difficult at DCA because of overcrowding. Annoying!

Must be new because they have very little available that is on their menu. For example they have only two beers for purchase. Probably just under par for an airport eatery
