Food was amazing! Walk in and tell the lady behind the counter what you want. Ribs and meats are on display right in front of you. Restaurant is very clean and the staff is so nice that it truly melts your heart. I got the rib sandwich which came with a half pound of ribs and the banana pudding was so good I needed to be carted out. Portion size is amazing also as you will definitely not leave hungry as if you do that’s your own fault

Wow! What a great place! I’m so ashamed I never been there after living in Arlington for 35 years. We reserved their over flow room for a family gathering after a funeral. Super nice folks and outstanding food. No one was disappointed. This place has Texas embedded deep in its walls. Most BBQ places of the city just don’t offer that. At Bodacious you feel like you’re deep somewhere in the Hill Country

A bit of dive but the food made up for it. Had the pork ribs and the brisket, both were very good. Friendly staff, good stuff!

If you are in Arlington this is a solid choice of Bar B Q. I just love the smell of the place as I walk up. I have had thier sliced beef and turkey sandwichs many times and can attest to the flavor of thier meats. I also like thier potato salad which is mustard based. The staff is friendly and get you through the line pretty quick.

Been eating here for 20+ years and never been disappointed. The ribs, beef and sausage are amazing. At one point we were eating there at lease once a week. If you get a chance, check thhem out.

Great BBQ and really liked their pinto beans. Not the fanciest place around but after you have tried it you won’t care. Nice people you enjoy giving your money to. I had the slice brisket with sausage combo plate. Enough for two meals plus some pretty darn good banana pudding.

This is the first place I ate at upon arrival in Texas and I was hungry. How this affects my view I cannot tell! It’s a old school looking BBQ, cafeteria style with all the old coke and tractor signs you’d ever want to see. They have all kinds of BBQ meats to choose from and you can add sides like corn, beans, slaw etc. too It’s a real fill your belly kind of place. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but something tells me it’s not as authentic as it once was. Nonetheless worth a visit if you’re in the area!

When I travel I like to look for little«mom and pop«places. I have found that they are usually where you can get the best home cooked meals when away from home. I came across this place and decided to give it a try… and I am glad I did. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food and everything was DELICIOUS! It is a small restaurant close to Cowboys stadium. If you are in the area, you MUST try it!!!

The bbq was excellent. The corn was plain and the bread choices left something to be desired. But the taste of the bbq meat was outstanding. However the woman behind the counter was rather brittle toward us. A party of 6 who had clearly never been there. The handwritten menu is not very clear or even in an obvious place. I stated several times I didn’t understand how it worked. The woman seemed frustrated with us and there was NOONE in line but us and only three or four tables eating. Again, I want to stress the bbq meat was excellent. I’m not from Texas so I’m used to different«baked beans» but their beans were very tasty as well in all I give it 3 stars

The best thing about this place is the free refills. Seriously. The meat was cold. The mac n cheese was terrible. The corn had no flavor. They didn’t even butter it. The décor is hideous. The meat taste ok but it was nothing special. I def won’t be coming again. I’m from NYC and I was hoping to get that good ol Texas BBQ. I could have gotten this in Nyc. I have had better ribs at chilis.

A most excellent place, man. In the mood for some Texas BBQ, my dad and I stopped in here for dinner after having visited Arlington’s Six Flags earlier in the day. Despite being nearly devoid of patrons at evening primetime, coming here turned out to be a great decision. We were greeted shortly after walking in and immediately chose 2, 2-meat combo plates: he got the sausage links + chopped brisket, and I opted for the pulled pork + rib tips. At a joint like this, the side dishes are almost as important as the main course, and Bodacious did not disappoint. Terrific baked beans, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and pre-wrapped bread slices to soak up the bar-be-que juices, a quirky touch. As you might imagine, having all this laid out before me was sheer nirvana. I also got a sweet tea from a plastic pitcher which led me to believe it was homemade. The banana pudding parfait capped off a delightful meal. There was a decent condiment selection; it’s always good to see my favorite Tabasco on hand, and they also had a chili pepper oil that I wound up sloshing over my pulled pork. To top it off, pro wrestling was being shown as we ate, which made for a hugely entertaining meal. Nothing says ‘Murrica like eating smoked pig pieces while watching fully-grown men taunt and then whack each other with ladders and chairs. Very glad we stopped by, as once again Unilocal did not lead me astray. This place is, like, totally gnarly!

So many people rave about Bodacious and I hate to the one that doesn’t. I don’t eat beef so I can’t speak for the brisket but I do eat pork(yeah I know weird) I happen to love good BBQ and ribs are my favorite. I have friends to proclaim this the best BBQ place in Arlington and that could be true as I consider Arlington a weak town for BBQ and that is my opinion because I’ve yet to find a place that just«WOWS» me. I ordered the ribs and turkey, they were good but not overwhelming. The ribs were not fall of the bone tender and it just wasn’t smoky enough for my taste. As a female, I can smoke some ribs and chicken so I expect BBQ restaurants to at least be as good as me. The portions received were good portion size I couldn’t eat the whole meal but my meat required sauce and I think the meat should speak for itself. The sides the broccoli pasta salad was excellent and the potato salad was really good as well. Would I go here again? On my on probably not but with friends sure. It’s still good but I’m still in search of my go to BBQ place in Arlington.

This place is awesome! Surprisingly uncrowded. Moist meat, great sauce, generous portions. No beer or wine, but has a BYOB policy. Gotta love this state… and this place. Get. In. Here!

The meat was AMAZING! the sides were not very good. I think their pasta salad and potato salad is the exact as WalMart. Pricing is a bit high($ 15 with drink) but it’s a niche place.

Heard about this place off Unilocal had great reviews and boy I am glad that I found it. My friend and I are from California and wanted some authentic Texas BBQ after a long day at Six Flags. When we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff and they cut your meat for you right in front of you. My friend got the ribs and I got the chopped brisket sandwich. I would say this was the best beef brisket I’ve ever had by far and the sides were superb. I got potato salad and pinto beans which were excellent. Their chocolate cake was also amazing. Overall great environment, great food, and great service highly recommend! If you’re looking for some authentic homemade Texas BBQ this is your place.

Well… I would’ve taken a pic to share, but I didn’t consider writing a review until I was finishing. I made a happy plate though! :D The Slow-Smoked Q: I’ve had each of the meats at least once, and they are all very tasty. My favorites are definitely the brisket and turkey. Both are the best I’ve had… juicy and smoky flavor. I like them without the sauce, but I love their sauce so I top them off. Sides: I ALWAYS get the cole slaw, because, well, it’s amazing. I’m not even a fan of cole slaw, but I’ve actually gotten some to take home. It’s fresh, seasoned well, and not dripping wet. The beans are good as far as beans go. Dessert: That banana pudding though… you won’t want to share… with anyone… no matter how much you love them. ;) It feels like it belongs in your mouth… a long lost friend that you’ve been reunited with… «and it feels so good.» It’s worth it. Trust me. Service is always very friendly and very helpful. I’ve seen the same faces here for years. That’s a good sign in a small business.

When it comes to Bodacious BBQ, I’m old school. I was enjoying the mouth-watering ‘que at Bodacious BBQ when Arlington was much smaller. Before the mall sucked. Before the new Texas Rangers ballpark opened. When it was just an open field and some small buildings between Six Flags and Main street and the Cowboys stadium was still in Irving! We’re talkin the early 90’s people!
I say all that to show just how long this awesome little place has been serving up amazing barbeque to the people of Arlington and the entire Metroplex. I can honestly say I never had a bad meal or bad service here. The pork, ribs, and signature sauce is fantastic and their sides are amazing. I live out west in Utah now, but I still think about Bodacious and it gets my mouth watering. Gotta get back soon!

Such high hopes here with the reviews. Unfortunately I prefer BBQ where I don’t have to put lots of sauce. I prefer moist and flavorful meats. Brisket — dry without the sauce Pork rib — doesn’t fall off the bone pulled pork — something is missing, I do not know what The portions are good.

Awesome awesome awesome While visiting Arlington, I had one goal in mind, eat some good BBQ. The hotel recommended I eat here and I’m glad I did. Pulled pork sandwich, Mac n cheese, baked beans and a Rootbeer. It’s right near cowboys stadium, rangers stadium and Six Flags. I’m happy!
