The ice cream, the corn dogs & the fries are hella good when you have that craving for something good but bad. BUT their Unilocal says they close at 10, I went at 9:30 a few days ago & they were closed. I just tried to go again about 20 minutes ago & they have a sign that says they’re closed for business until 01⁄25. It’s 01⁄27. I just wana know when they’ll actually be open so I can get me some dang ice cream.

The issue with this place is you have Dairy Queen right across the street pretty much. This place doesn’t take cards, CASH ONLY! They have an ATM but why pay a fee to pull out a twenty just to spend about eight bucks on ice cream. They offer nothing more than Dairy Queen, IMO Dairy Queen offers more of a selection while gladly accepting my Visa.

Simple ice cream, but can taste so great on a hot day like this. The rest of their food (onion rings, fries) etc are nothing special, but not bad if you’re hungry considering there’s no other options around this area.
Prices are reasonable and kids are happy.

Good ice cream! Reminds me of when I was a kid. I also used to love the fries, but now they are too greasy and gross. The people that work there are very nice. But would I get anything other then ice cream when I go? Um no! The rest of the food is nasty!

awesome ice cream! awesome food! the only thing is they don’t have an up to date credit card/​debit card machine. You have to use this ancient machine that connects through dial up and then put money into their register. It’s so stragen… it also charges you $ 1.75 to use it.

I love Foster’s Freeze and have been eating at their restaurants in other locations since I was a little kid. Very little kid!
I went tonight to get milk shakes and such for me and my landlord. But there was a non-​disabled person parked in the handicap space and so I had to park where I could to go in, while waiting to order another customers berates me in front of children and other customers there and when I finally spoke to the employee, they said they cannot call the police to deal with it as they «don’t have a phone». After getting ready to order things continued to escalate between me and the other person and I had to leave. I talked with the employee and my landlord talked to the manager «on the phone» and they said they won’t do anything about it. I will never ever go back to this one. I miss the old days!

My wife and I eat here regularly. For about the same price as a typical fast food place, you get fresh hot food cooked to order. Their fries are crinkle cut, the old fashioned kind, unlike the artificial ones served in fast food places. Burgers are cooked when you order the old fashioned way on a flat top grille.

I’ve loved foster freeze ever since I was a little girl :) my all time default fav is the oreo cookie twister! Everything else is great too when I’ve tried! when I hear «foster freeze» I think «heavens calling?»…haha. loveit.

I love this place! ive been coming here since i was a child. I love their triple cheeseburger! and their 4×4 is for the ultimate in hunger. the owner still remembers me after all these years as soon as he hears i only want mustard pickle and cheese he turns around and smiles and says my last name to confirm who i am. I havent had anything bad here, I dont think there is anything bad here. its all good!

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I want to induldge in fatty greasy food. First off the burgers are delish beef cooked the way you request, very flavorful and juicy. The only dessert I order is the banana split. The cashier was polite, the it’s always quiet. It’s small inside but I always manage to find a seat. Foster freeze, is so much better than dairy queen. IMO. I only wish there were a foster freeze where I live, but when I go visit family I make a special trip here.

For what it is, it serves its purpose very well.
Their steak sandwich is a real steak grilled and cutup by request and which had grilled onions. Very good.
$ 1.00 special fried burrito on fridays was surprisingly good.
Banana split was $ 1.99, standard fair. Corn dogs were 2 for $ 2 and I slathered them in mustard so they hit the spot.
Service was friendly and helpful in choosing items they liked. Thanks for the tips!

I usually don’t like «fast food» places, but this is really, really good. Okay, so this is not Ritz Garden room — it is a street food stand. But — each time we went there, several locals and families are outside, waiting for their orders. As I sat on the bench, waiting for the grilled cheese and steak sandwiches, I saw bunch of ice cream creations being passed through the window, and wanted to eat each and every one of them. It is too bad I am lactose intolerant. But — my family is not. A real peace of Americana, run by an Asian-​American family. I have never had texas toast grilled ham and cheese this good before!

Of course, if you want a really good burger, Froster’s Freeze is not the place to go. However, if you want a delicous root beer freeze there is no better place in Antioch, or around, for that matter. Most of the ice cream there is pretty good. So, if your looking for some ice cream, specifically a root beer freeze, this is the spot! it’s on HIT!!!

After a crappy experience at Humphrey’s on the Delta, it was Foster’s Freeze to the rescue.
I wasn’t even hungry for dessert… I just wanted to end the weekend on a high note.
Had I not spotted a toddler with a junior-​size cup, I would have ordered way too much Smores Twister. Thank you, Random Kid, for saving me a couple hundred calories.

Yeah, not quite the place I grew up knowing, but not bad either, I have to agree with the previous review about the burgers, NOT the same as they used to be. I recently got the fish and chips and it was decent. Hit the spot, but yeah, not nearly what it was 20 years ago… :-(

I used to love Foster’s Freeze… but the quality of their burgers has gone way way down. They just don’t taste good. They taste like formerly frozen burger patties. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was unsatisfied and didn’t even finish my food.
