Best burgers in town! Used to have carhops on roller skates back in the 1950’s. This is a historic place for old town Antioch. Many a teenager stopped here for a burger and shake after a night out on the town in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. It’s reminiscent of the 1973 movie, American Graffiti. You can even see the photo of the original«Hazel» on the wall. She and her husband Bill built the place in 1947. So glad to see the owners continuing the tradition and serving good old fashioned burgers and shakes.

Great burgers. The willy is big enough to feed four. We got the big willy with a double patty with all the topping. It had the best meat to bun ratio. Has that quaint diner feel. Not a lot of room for dine in though. But the food is awesome. The shakes are good too. Have not tried any of the sides yet. FYI there is no AC so be prepared if you go on a very hot day.

Had lunch with a colleague-Ordered a Hazel burger with onion rings, he ordered a Monty daily special with fries. Took some time in the lunch rush, but the burgers were juicy and cooked to order. Prices were on point for the quality. It’s not McDonalds. Good diner food. Will return.

I felt bad for giving them a so so review for having to put up with the manager woman’s bad attitude cause everyone else is super nice. I love the food and I have been going here for years. At least once a week I place a large to-go order for me and my work crew and I even tip a couple bucks even though it’s to go, but today was the last straw. My favorite miserable manager decided to charge me .35 for a side of mayo. I can see charging for sides like bacon or extra cheese, but charging for a condiment? Fine, you just lost my business for 35 cents. It’s about principle. LEARNTOTAKECAREOFANDVALUEYOURREGULARCUSTOMERS.

My girlfriend has been going to this establishment since she was a child(she’s in her early thirties) now! She introduced me to it 3years ago and oh… my…gosh!!! *drools and craves it at the moment* AMAZING!!! We each get a double Willy burger with everything!!! It takes us 2 – 3 meals but gah it is sooooo fabulous! The Customer service is awesome and the Chefs are fast with the orders! The only down fall… We moved 6 hours away!!! So we get it maybe 3 times if that a year when visiting her parents! The upside! It’s still there and running strong and I can’t wait for July and eat there at least 2 times!!! Hopefully it will still be around when we move back in a few years after college… Gah most mom nd pop places are 100 times better than chains! Thank you Hazels and we look forward to eating at your DELICIOUS establishment!

My husband and I recently moved to Antioch. We have been warned by friends and family that there aren’t many good places to eat in our new town. On a quest to find our new go to burger joint, we found Hazel’s. After reading their reviews on Unilocal,we decided to give it a try. Well, the reviews were right! This place was great. I loved the old school décor of the place. The staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. The food… My husband had the Willy Burger & Onion Rings… why anyone needs that much of a burger is baffling. Considering the size, I figured the burger would be dry and lackluster. But I was wrong. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The onion rings were cooked to perfection. They were cut nice & thick unlike those gross onion rings from Burger King. I ordered the Hazel burger. I loved it! The patties were nice and juicy. There was something about the bun that was delicious — it kinda had a sweet taste to it. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room to try any shakes. Hopefully we’ll have room on our next visit. We will definitely be back!

This actually happened to me last year but less then a year ago. So I don’t know if they’ve had new Managment or replaced their employees since then. This also wasn’t my first time eating there but it sure was the last. I was in there with an old friend and we were catching up with one and other. All I wanted was a smoothie and some fries. I look at the menu and see the«milkshake and smoothie» section and accidentally ordered the pineapple milk shake but miss took it for a smoothie. When my order came out I took maybe a few sips out of it and realized my mistake. I asked my friend if I wanted it since he might like it which he didn’t. At this point I’ve only had the shake for about 3 minutes. It takes me about 5 more minutes for the waitress to pay attention to me and we are sitting at the bar where she pretty much stayed. My friend and I had to say excuse me about 20 times. She was odiously ignoring me. When she does respond it’s just a plain«what?» So I tell her I thought my milkshake was a smoothie but it was my mistake, but that I’m unhappy with my order. She told me if I wanted a new one I’d have to pay for it then instantly walked off to talk shit about my to the«chef» INFRONTOFMYFACE. I odiously could hear her. She said that I had my smoothie for about 15 minutes and she wasn’t gonna waist her time. I’ve been there many times before with my parents and myself with almost the same exact problem with my food and they have always either remade or refunded my order. I’ve even had an on call order made for me before and they messed up and my burger and they refunded me for that burger. Mind you I don’t exactly look my age at times, but that is no excuse to give the worst customer service I have ever received. Also the server looked around my age. Anyways, I feel that it’s a great place to sit down with your family, but if you’re in your early 20s and just with friends, prepare to be talked shit about.

Whenever I’m in Antioch, I always try and make a stop by here. Hazel’s Drive-In is a family owned business and they have been here since 1947, so they know how to treat their customers. They are Cash Only, but they do accept ATM cards with a transaction fee. Tax is included in the prices of their menu items. I always enjoy ordering their sandwiches with fries combo, as they will load you up on their fries! Their Hazel Burger is my favorite, as the size of this burger is big & delicious. They are also famous for their Willy Burger! Yes, it’s $ 12.50 with fries, but it’s gigantic! It’s a nice burger to order if you are willing to share it with someone. All food is fresh and made to order. I like their burgers & fries more than In N’ Out, Five Guys and The Habit. It’s always nice to enjoy eating at a locally owned business.

I realllllly love this place. I recently moved to the Antioch Area from the Central Valley and found this hidden gem. I love the fries and the burgers. I end up with the same order almost every time: cheese burger with a side of chili cheese fries and large Pepsi. Call me fatty, oink oink! The decorations inside are vintage and cute like a 50s diner which is totally a plus for a cool dine in experience. The only thing I’m not too crazy about is the customer service and I’m BIG on customer service. Whenever I call in my order the girl answers, «hazels.» I’m assuming that’s their thing and then after I place the order she says«is that it?» And then says«okay order is up in 15.» Then hangs up. It doesn’t make sense to me, but whatever that’s why I always choose to take out! I love their food bottom line.

We LOVE hazels! Delicious, fresh food! Great burgers and the best milkshakes you’ve ever had. The menu isn’t extensive, but everything is great, their cheese fries are also amazing. Home-y atmosphere, great employees. A little small inside, so if it’s busy there’s a tight squeeze but it’s still good!

You need to check this place out! This is a cool little place that has been flipping burgers and slinging hash since 1947. Stopped in a noon on Saturday and there wasn’t a table to be had, so I ordered to go. Ordered the cheeseburger with everything(LTOP, mustard) and it came out quick. Nicely seasoned 1/3lb beef seared nicely with a little pink on a nice squishy bun, delicious! ! It was great value at $ 4 bucks and it includes a bag of Lay’s potato chips. I understand now why it was so packed.

I come here every week EVERY WEEK for a good reason PROS –Good, affordable food –friendly staff –GIGANTIC burgers(Especially the willy) –their Deny sandwich is to die for –cute waitress –AWESOME waiter who is insanely friendly. I wish I knew his name CONS –they charge $ 1 for using a card –the other waitress is very rude(if you’re a picky eater she will roll her eyes when you complicate your order a bit). my experience is slightly diminished when I see that she’s the one working, not the cute one. –fries are likely not cut fresh, they look and taste frozen overall, I give this place an 8. I freaking love it. I go here when I wanna bulk. Great gains are found here.

The classic burger joint that hasn’t lost their charm. Since 1947 they have been slamming cheeseburgers and shakes out their little drive up joint. Pretty sure it’s a family run business, which is always a plus and they will put bacon and mushrooms on anything. Win.

I’m a lover of drive-ins and diners and was excited to finally eat at what seemed like a promising establishment. Sadly, there was nothing memorable about our experience at Hazel’s. The service was lackluster, the ladies working behind the counter were uninterested in their customers and the food was unimpressive. I highly doubt we’ll ever return.
