I’ve come a couple of times, but not too often as this place is far away from my digs. What is with this store? Every time I stop in I smell puke, and it’s completely disgusting. Thankfully, it’s just at the inside of the store, not everywhere. I find the staff to be helpful and checkout people polite. It’s a lot like Fred Meyer, but just a step above in quality of goods. Wish there was more of a produce department.

Like others reviewing this place, it is a typical big box store experience. You either love coming here or you hate coming here, but you need to because this place has lower prices on food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies than the neighborhood grocery store. I prefer the cleanliness and atmosphere of the Target stores as opposed to the chaotic, long waits at the cash register, and not very well-stocked quagmire that is Wal-Mart.

Meh, it’s Target, you know what to expect. Very typical Target layout, though it is ever so slightly different than the Dimond area location, but not enough to comment any further. Cleanliness wise, it was acceptable, which seemed comparable to the Dimond area one as well. Staff seemed to be equally as invested as the Dimond as well. Meaning the customer service is average and what you would expect from anyone of these department store type places(Fred Meyer, Walmart, Target, etc.) Having come from Juneau, where the only comparable things were Freddies and Walmart, it was kind of neat getting to walk around a different store, but the allure wore off after 17 seconds. Average store for an average experience

Absolutely the worst target I’ve ever been to! Makes me not want to even go in because of how bad the cashier lines are. Target needs to get their act together — their cashier lines are TERRIBLE! Every time I go it takes forever. Walmart and other stores don’t have this issue? What is the deal here? It just took me 30 minutes to check out because, after spending 15 min in one line, something happened so we all had to go in other lines. Then when I found a different line, the cashier was more worried about flirting with the guy in front of me than being quick. She pulled out her Personal phone and was scanning items in order to do price checks and give the guy cheaper prices. Great customer service IF there’s no one else waiting forever in line and if the guy asked her to do it, however he was silent and awkward and glanced at me like he didn’t know what to do because she did it for every item in his full cart! He never once asked for her to do that. It was hilarious to watch but also terrible customer service because once I came up after just watching her do all that… Do you think she price checked any of my items? No, because I’m not a 20 year old guy. Not only was she taking money away from her employer, but she provided me with terrible customer service. I’ve never had a fast and good experience going through the cashier lines at the target off Muldoon. I won’t be returning.

Target is where I go to escape it all and take a mini mommy vacation. Granted it still suffers from the same screaming kids and slow moving senior citizens I have to deal with on my real vacations, but at least it’s cheaper than flying to Hawaii once a week. I do appreciate the better-than-Walmart merchandise and I can always find what I need … And then some.

Typical Target layout. Was very clean, and not a lot of people here. The parking lot was FULL of carts. LOL so I am not sure if you had to bring your own cart in to shop, or all their people were on break. Just be careful where you park so your car doesn’t get hit with all the carts hanging around! Right outside of base, so that’s a plus too!

Along with my previous review, all of which still stands, I find that I still have a distaste for this place. My mother wanted to stop by, so we did. It was a slow time of the day so there was no problem with parking or getting inside. Their«clearance» items on the end caps are a joke and not much of a savings. Also, as we were already there, I checked out the athletic clothes. That’s when I noticed that they apparently have started taking the bottom MSRP price tags of the bottoms of the tags. Maybe they’ve wizened up and decided that they didn’t want you in such sticker shock when you find out how much they have marked them up for the Alaska market. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

This target has some of the most unprofessional employees. They are constantly goofing around with each other while working, which makes their work extremely slow and sloppy. They ignore customers and have little to no interaction with them, only each other. One girl even stopped checking my items out to run across the store and high five another employee. When she returned, there was no apology. Just«we’re hilarious.» I love target and I’ve never seen one managed like this.

Staff often distracted and horseplaying rather than paying attention to customers, offering help, or displaying professionalism. Here’s a common example: I went through the register line today and the clerk, Lydia, did not look me in the eye or speak to me during the entire transaction. I have previously notified the manager of this.

This store is conveniently located near lots of restaurants, movie theater, and other stores. You can find almost anything you need and they have a great selection of home décor at affordable prices. I recommend getting all your Christmas décor when it’s at 70% off.

Target is a great go to store for all your needs. Almost the same every you go in the states too. You can appreciate the fact the store here is always organized and clean. One thing that’s nice about target is that they have many registers that’s available. Unlike other similar stores like ’ Walmart ‘. They also have food and Starbucks in store that’s convenient at times. Target carries many items from food clothes jewelry baby gear many things !

What can I say? I’ve loved Target from day one. Mom took me to the one in Ohio when I was a wee lassie, and have always been a fan. It’s the classy and clean alternative to Wal-Mart. The one on Muldoon is new, it features a grocery section, parking is fine, and of course it has a Starbucks. Who’s not a sucker for Starbucks? I print photos there too. It’s right out the gate if you’re on post. If you’ve always been a Target fan like me, this one will not disappoint.

My preferred Anchorage Target due to it’s easy access for those coming from or returning to the Valley. Getting on and off at the Muldoon Exit makes it convenient. I find myself stopping here almost every time I go to Anchorage since I live in Palmer and it saves me a separate trip to Wasilla. If you’re leaving Anchorage during rush hour you might as well kill a half hour or more at Target — you’d just be sitting in traffic anyway. This store is laid out very much like(if not identical to) the one in Wasilla. Everything is easy to find, well stocked, and the staff if friendly and helpful.

Once again, I love you Target! Nice large store they’ve got here… since I’m an outta-stater, I LUV that there’s no sales tax here. Yesssss! In fact, I had it all planned — — and I bought my shiny new iPad here.(Saved the 10% or $ 50 in taxes I woulda spent in Arizona!) Plus… put it on my cute little Target redcard, for a — –cha ching — — 5% discount. Score! I hit the bullseye.(Pun totally intentional!) Also being that I was visiting Alaska, I appreciated that they have some Alaskan souvenirs in the front entrance area. It was convenient for me to pick up some gifts for my hubby — — and in the pet area, I found some Alaskan salmon doggie treats, so my baby girls got some Alaskan souvenirs too. TY Target!

I’ll admit it, I was one of the overeager Target-ites who counted the days until this store opened and then stood in line, breathless with anticipation, giddy at the thought of strolling down the wide aisles the day this store opened. When they opened a few days earlier than expected, I was one of the obnoxious few who called my friends and neighbors and happily chirped, «Target is open!!!» It’s not that I’m a fan of Target. But after two years of living in the barren shopping wasteland that is Anchorage, I was thrilled to have a new but familiar place to spend my husband’s hard-earned cash. With no Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Williams Sonoma, L’Occitane, Sephora, Sur la Table, Crate and Barrel, Ann Taylor, White House Black Market, or Macy’s to woo me and seduce the cash from my frozen fist, Target is like a shopping Oasis for this mall deprived, reluctant Anchorage transplant. I’ve heard the complaints. The sales staff aren’t friendly(few in Anchorage are — see: Barnes and Noble). The prices are higher than in the lower 48(Duh! Welcome to Alaska). I don’t care. At the end of the day, I’ll keep Target. Their SUPERBRIGHTLYLIT store is like balm to my SAD inflicted soul. Their cheerily painted Starbucks reminds me of a chic café in Seattle(if you squint and inhale deeply). I’ll take their inflated prices and sometimes surly staff because pondering the alternative(that wretched Wal-Mart) makes me want to scream and tear at my hair like a Bellvue bound lune. All in all… a good store. Clean, well-lit, and amply stocked.

I have waited and waited for target to show up in this town. They have. I know I should be happier, but I really thought they would bring lower prices, and help bring the prices around with their sales down in the area. So far… ehhh. Selection is equivalent to JC Penny items, but with food products and so-on. The prices are still higher than some of the other stores in the area. I am not overly impressed, but I am happy they are here. Hopefully Price wars will start when they get«Dug in». We will see.
