I really like Kohls. Now that Sears has gone down the crapper, Kohls and JCPenney are my favorite places for clothing shopping. I’ve gotten AMAZING deals at Kohls. It takes some work and patience, but when I’m diligent I always score some super sweet deals. They’ve got a wide variety of styles and sizes and price ranges which is rare in Anchorage. They’ve got a decent mens, kids and home section too. I’m seriously a fan. I took off a star because they don’t have enough selection of plus sized underwear and bras. Other than that, it’s a win for me.

Horrible customer service. Actually had cashier chastise me because I checked the prices to make sure they were right before I paid. (I always write down how much the discount is supposed to be!). And let me tell you very very rarely are the prices actually correct. It’s like they literally advertise a price then don’t give it to you at the register. I truly think they do it on purpose!

Kohls has a very nice selection of women and men’s clothing. It kind of reminds me of a Macy’s on a much smaller scale. Their prices are a bit up there but sometimes you find amazing clearance deals throughout the holidays. There is something for everyone and it’s a great place to shop if you’re looking to buy gifts for someone while on a time crunch. We’ve bought some winter clothing in the past and it has been wonderful. They also give you the ability to create a gift registry for weddings and such.

It seems like once I go to this place I have to keep going back. They give me Kohl’s cash and well, its basically money, so I have to drive out there again and buy more stuff. And then I get more Kohl’s cash so its basically just a vicious cycle. This time I was just going to use my Kohl’s cash and not spend any more but the jeans were on sale for $ 27.99 and of course I saw some cute shirts for $ 13 and… and… there’s some new long underwear that are super cool and winter is coming so you know that’s a necessary purchase. Now I have to go back because I have more Kohl’s cash. Oh darn. ;) This place has good stuff but you need to spend time and hunt through the racks and in some cases, the piles.

I like that I can shop for the whole family here. There is a great selection of clothes, accessories and home goods. The prices are great and I love the clearence sections. I wish the Intimates section had more variety. I often can’t find what I’m looking for in this section or its always sold out. I love the sales and will definately shop here again. I hope they fix the Intimates section though.

I like the Kohl’s store here. It’s laid out nicely, and usually well stocked. The prices are good, and the clearance prices are fantastic! The staff is always helpful, but could use some extra attendants in the ladies fitting rooms, as they are usually kind of trashed.
It’s not as big of a store as some in the lower 48, but it definitely has a good variety in each dept.

Maybe I’m spoiled from the lower 48, but this Kohl’s seems to lack a lot of selection like some of the other ones I’ve been to. Again, maybe I’m just not used to how things are up here yet. It’s just a Kohl’s I guess…

I went into A Kohl’s Store down in Reno, Nevada a couple of years ago, and found that I was not all that impressed then. It was like what Mervin’s was, but with higher prices, and less quality merchandise. I guess I was wrong. Kohl’s in Alaska, just recently opened, and I was somewhat impressed by the newer quality items that they have. It isn’t the Ritz, and it isn’t the «Fashion King, but we don’t think like that up here. We look for good buys, and good items that will match our ever changing weather, and small household items that you can label «neat». They have them. I am not sure I will be a regular customer, J.C. Penny’s still has the best underwear, and some cool stuff, but for a «New Kid» on the block, it is not half bad…
